Daddy’s Kitchen

I had the lobster omelette, which had a nice combination of ingredients such as spinach, provolone, mushrooms and of course, lobster. The eggs that were used to make the omelet did not taste like eggs at all. This leads me to believe that they do not purchase their eggs from local farmers. None the less, the food was still good, not great, but good. The service was excellent.

I had the Santa Fe grilled chicken salad and my mom had the Bonnie’s salad. Both were amazing. I am excited to go back and try other things on the menu!

Went there for Breakfast with a friend on Saturday Morning. Food was Awesome and the Server was Great I just can’t say enough about this place. Will definitely go back!

Stopped here on a whim for breakfast. Was very pleasantly surprised! Very nice employees and wonderful food! Freshly made and good price. Want to come back to try lunch and breakfast.

We ate there on a Sunday morning for breakfast. We got the basics (pancakes eggs and bacon). Our whole family all loved their meals. The pancakes were nice and round soft and delicious and Mindy, our server did a great job. We will definitely be back. This is a great local family owned and family-​friendly restaurant.

Great find in an area that is restaurant sparse. I have made this place a regular dinner stop. I’ve lived within 2 miles of Daddy’s Kitchen for 5 years but never tried it. I admit the name made me think it would not be good.
The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated. Service is prompt and the food has always been fresh. They have a kids menu and will modify items on request. Once my wife ordered something that was not what she expected. They promptly removed it from our bill and offered something else.
I’ve not tried the breakfast or lunch menu but I would think you can’t go wrong there either.

Great breakfast! Perfect portions. Daddy does a great job especially with his pancakes. Bacon is always perfectly crispy. Why am I not there now?

After one visit for breakfast, we’ll be back. Located a short distance from the University of DE, we were not disappointed with the breakfast menu. We ordered a veggie omelet and buttermilk pancakes. Superb! The pancakes were offered with fruit for $ 1 more but alas only the bananas were fresh. I would have thought blueberries would have been fresh as they were in season. You can’t beat the prices. it’s well worth a visit but don’t expect much atmosphere.

Very good frittata, very bad pancake. I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt and assuming this was a one time thing, hence the 4 stars. Service was great. Prices very reasonable. Good coffee.

Their taco salad with tinga chicken is amazing! Their breakfast is also very good. I especially like their French toast.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this quality restaurant found hidden away in the rural countryside.
The real joy of Daddy’s Kitchen is the quality service. Our waitress was helpful, attentive, and seemed to enjoy working there. She had a lot of knowledge of the dishes and made good suggestions while also completely memorizing our order instead of going back to get a pen.
I ordered the falafel wrap which I can honestly say is the best I’ve ever had. It was moist and delicious. The chips and guacamole were also high quality.
We sat outside which was nice, but there isn’t much of a sit down restaurant feel there. It’s almost too small of a space to justify more than take out. The tables and chairs inside were nice but cramped, and the kitchen is right next to you working on orders. The place is also extremely bright inside.
Daddy’s Kitchen is a five star take out place given the quality of the food and service, but the fact that it’s BYOB and lacking in atmosphere doesn’t warrant a five star rating as a full service restaurant. I wish they could move this great place to a larger establishment in a more populated area.
Go ahead and have a meal there if you happen to be in the area. They will definitely treat you right and the food is surprisingly delicious.

This restaurant is lovely! This cozy little restaurant is tucked away in a shopping center in Landenberg, and is a hidden gem (at least for me, in Delaware). The workers are very nice and the food is delicious. I’ve tried most of the wraps and sandwiches and a few of the salads. They’re all really good. My boyfriend likes the breakfast food best.
The dessert is a MUST try. Every person I know who has ever tried the desserts say it’s the best cake they have ever tried– Some of these people are extremely picky, too. You can get any of the food to go, but no delivery.
They also sell art, and carry some sweet, lovely pieces. I highly recommend!

After hearing several folks say that Daddy’s Kitchen was very good I finally stopped in for dinner. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and has nice atmosphere. It is a BYOB and they did not charge corkage. The food prices are very reasonable, the server was very nice and efficient.
They have a variety of American, Italian, and Mexican foods on the menu. We both had Mexican and it was much better than the majority of Mexican dishes we have had in the area. The food was also beautifully presented. We would definitely order them again, though we will try some of the other menu items first.
Daddy’s is a real gem in sleepy Landenberg.

Very good burritos and salad bowls. The staff was very friendly.
