Bagels and schmears as far as the eyes can see. Good, chewy bagels with a variety of flavored cream cheeses to satisfy one’s craving. Decent bagel sandwich selections, too. Definitely a place worth stopping to get rid of one’s hunger in a hurry!

This was a good bagel place. The store was PACKED, and the menu offers a large variety of lunch and snack options. We just got bagels and cream cheese, and it was tasty. Cinnamon bagel with light cream cheese on it. perfect. I got a fountain ginger ale, and it was good. I would go back if I was hungry, but it was not WOW.

Disgruntled employees, very crowded, forgot about my order, and finally wrong sandwich. 20 minutes after my order of a egg, cheese, and bacon sandwich on a jalapeño bagel, I asked where my order was. They seemed annoyed that I asked. When they finally looked into it, and realised they forgot my order, they made me another. after walking outside and unwrapping my sandwich noticed that my sandwich didn’t have the right bagel. after what I had been though, I didn’t have any more time to mess around so I just left.

I like the convenience of it as it is near UD campus. Downtown is nice so it’s good to have a walk after a nice brunch. We had bagels with smoked salmon. I would say it was good but I still prefer Einstein but there’s no one in town.

Poor service … Long wait … Your bagels aren’t worth waiting a half hour and then while I wait ask for a cup to make my own tea and you charge me $ 2 … I should be charging you for a half hour of my time! Older lady is rude

I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, and work in New York City, so I not only know a good bagel, but I practically consider it a religion. So when my daughter told me that there was a phenomenal bagel place near her school in Delaware, I had to try it. When she and I arrived, it was later in the afternoon… never a good time for a bagel store. Usually by then they’re cleaning out the last remaining bagels – usually a bunch of plain bagels and a few whole wheat, and anything left is rapidly descending toward stale. But, no, my wheat everything bagel was fresh, with a nice, chewy crust and a perfect crumb you expect from a real bagel. Was I imagining it? I don’t think so, because the bagel seemed legit. The bagel was ordered with bacon, egg, and cheese, the Holy Trinity of breakfast items, and everything was perfectly prepared. Did the college students behind the counter manage some witchcraft in creating this delicious meal? Did I walk through some wormhole connecting Delaware to Boro Park, Brooklyn? Oy vey, this was a good meal! So, yeah, I probably should have trusted my daughter’s palate because she’s a foodie like her dad, but I was doubtful that a place so far from the birthplace of that round bit of carb heaven could come up with such a tasty treat. But, yes, it did… it really did.

The bagel concoctions are outstanding! However, do not order the Hash Browns under any circumstances. They are way to greasy/oily…one of the grossest things I’ve ever consumed.

They are very good for Delaware bagels but the staff is always very disorganized and slow. We had to wait 15 minutes for three bagels and were then given the wrong ones at first. I would say that they are worth the wait but it is a pain to go there because of the frequent waits and the slow service.

If you come to Newark, Delaware and you do not have NDB, you are making a big mistake. It’s worth the line, it’s worth the wait — that’s just part of the atmosphere. Whole wheat everything, toasted, with egg and cheese(and sausage or bacon if that’s your thing). Or chicken salad on whole wheat everything, toasted, with the usual toppings(tomato, lettuce, and a pickle on the side). Pro-tip: If you are super hungry like my husband often is when we get there, order a bagel with cream cheese(not toasted) and it’ll come out earlier than anything that’s toasted or made on the grill. You can still order the other sandwich, but consider this other item to be your appetizer.

The only truly good bagels in Delaware. Whole wheat everything. What else is there to say?

Like can they get it together… Honestly hire some more people or something… If you don’t have a hour to come and get a single bagel don’t come.

Must have been a rough morning, 25 min for a breakfast bagel. Poorly managed is my guess. Could have made this bagel at home.

Best breakfast bagel in town in my opinion. I usually go B E C on an everything bagel toasted. And when I’m feeling extra fat, I have them put a hash brown on the sandwich. Ohh ohh ohhhhhhhh. Call ahead. It’s usually very busy.

Sorry but totes mediocre. I don’t know what all the fuss is about. I went with a egg/cheese/tom breakfast Sammie on whole wheat everything. It was okay but not great. Eggs were fine, cheese was plentiful if not over the top. But They didn’t even toast the bagel … I didn’t think I needed to express that desire– for a warm breakfast bagel Sammie … Isn’t toasting like, a no brainer? At least ask, amiright? Anyway my dining pArtner went with same bagel but jalapeño cream cheese and a couple veggies. Same deal with hers, not toasted. Bagel was fine. CC was mad weak in the jalepeno dept. hash browns also ordered… Don’t waste your time. Frozen crappy ones. I had a coffee and went I went to fill the cup, 4 of 5 coffee things were EMPTY. trash bins in store also overflowing and rather gross. I won’t bother going back.

One of those few times where I disagree with my fellow Unilocalers. Ordered the whole wheat everything bagel, toasted with jalapeño cream cheese with cucumbers & tomatoes and a side of hash browns. Subpar to say the least. Bagel wasn’t toasted and my cream cheese was bland! No spice and jalapeños were barely present. The hash browns can beat it. Greasy and way too oily, just like the ones served at McD’s. We also had the egg/cheese/tomato melt on an everything bagel. Bagel wasn’t toasted making for sad cheese who struggled to even melt. Appearance of the restaurant wasn’t too inviting. Trash cans overflowing and most tables needed to be cleaned.

SLIGHTLY pricy for a breakfast sandwich, honestly, but delicious bagels. My only complaint is the service was a bit un-friendly, but to be fair — it was really busy.

Usually, the wait for a simple bagel sandwich is around 30 minutes in the morning when they are busy. This morning seemed less crowded than usual so I ordered my bagel sandwich, and started waiting. After 30 minutes of waiting, I approached to the manager and asked where my order was. She went to the kitchen and came back and told me that there were no more the type of bagel I asked so they did not put my order in. I would have waited 2 hours and they wouldn’t even bother to let me know that my order won’t be ready any time. I asked my money back(this also took another 5 minutes), left this place, and promised myself that I will never go back to this place.

What an awesome place to grab a quick breakfast sandwich! I’ve gone here plenty of times, and even when the place is packed with students and their orders, they still manage to get your order out as quick as possible. My favorite item is their bagel sandwich(toasted!) so definitely give one a try. Service is friendly, and they will even sometimes take the effort to remember you and see how you are doing. Don’t forget you can order via phone(when it’s not during a rush time) or online. It seems to take nearly equal amount of time to make the order versus in-person ordering.
