Terrible management. Cocky and pretentious bro-types. They racially profile, and refuse service to many of my friends. I will not go here as long they act this way. It’s dirty and gross and the menu leaves much to be desired. Other customers I’ve seen in and around this place are not the kind I ever want to associate with — loud and obnoxious. Just walking past the restaurant makes me feel dirty.

Love the casual atmosphere, but their mixed drinks were mediocre and overpriced. Definitely not my favorite place.

Really great find in up and coming Lancaster. Went here after a conference with some workmates and it was just what we were looking for. Very relaxed but nice atmosphere. Really nice staff. Excellent Greek food. Good beer selection. Reasonably priced. Comfortable space. We would all definitely go back the next time we are in town!

It’s a pretty good place to stop by for food late at night on a Sunday! I got the gyro plate and it was okay. I wouldn’t make this place I’d go to during the day– only for late night food when everywhere else is closed. The food service was a bit questionable seeing that I ordered an appetizer but never got it and let it go. We also weren’t tended very well in terms of being checked on — waited for 20 minutes for water while we were eating wings. Had it been busy, I would not have cared, but it was the fact that it was a Sunday and it was pretty empty. We ordered the wings here too which I recommend in terms of sauce choice– they had a pretty good selection for a bar As a bar, it’s pretty chill

We came in for breakfast and loved the cheap prices, big plus for us. The food was okay because everything came out almost chilly. As if it was just sort of reheated, it was warm enough but just strange. I told my husband maybe the cook can nor feel heat anymore due to burned fingers… maybe? We still ate most of the meal so it was not that bad. So if you need a place that is not crowed for breakfast and is cheap… check her out!

5 star service + 1 star food = 2 stars. Run! The wait person was a real sweetheart. Salmon sandwich was bland. Greek food –not!

Firstly, the service was good, attentive, and kind. I came on «taco Tuesday.» The tacos were terrible, stale shells, poor ingredients. I’m certain Taco Bell would be remarkable in comparison. The margarita I had was also gross. This place is a dumpster.

No wonder no one goes here. Bad service, food is messed up, and the wait is unbelievable. Bathroom is clutch though. Final conclusion. Never go here. AWFUL

I don’t get this place. It must the location because it’s not the food, ambience or service. It really has nothing going for it, at least that I can find. The last time I was there, for lunch, I, literally, stood in the middle of an empty restaurant, downtown, at lunch, and no one came out into the main room to see if anyone wanted anything. We left because, well, there was no way to order. The other times I’ve been there the drinks are tedious, the food is average and greasy and the service is, at best, indifferent. Lots of better choices. Make one.

I don’t like playing the race or marginalized card coz I don’t really believe in it… I was not going to post my review as my incident happened about a year ago. but a similar recent incident with my friend made me want to re-echo my awful experience there .I was with 2 of my friends and we are all black, the moment we went in, the manager/owner started following us round. after 5 mins of being there he said if we are not buying drinks yet we should go out. we humbly stepped out. we went again after a week and bought drinks right when we went in to avoid the past incident, and surprisingly the very moment we finished our drinks, de manager came to kick us out again. in both instances we were not loud or a nuisance to anyone before and after the incident. I went again wit a different black frnd and when we went into the dance floor in de basement, de owner followed us there and right after we finished our beer, he asked us to go out coz we ain’t drinking… our theory was proved that he followed us round and don’t want us in his bar… none of my friends has a violence or drug history so I wish I knew his motive for his actions. I vowed never to patronize or advice ppl close to me to patronize it… Yorgos is not worth ur money or patronage coz am sure there are unique and really nice places in lancaster u can get better services at…

Loved the service and the bartenders. First visit, my boyfriend and I were in the mood for drinks with some food. He ended up ordering lamb chops to try since he was hungrier than I was, and some wings. I ordered fried calamari to munch on while I drank. The lamb chops were overcooked, but not enough to complain about. However, when the bartender came over to check on us and could tell he wasn’t 100% happy with the food, he explained that the chops were a bit burnt on the outside and also a little dry inside, she immediately called over the manager and they took it right off the bill for us. Awesome, since we weren’t unhappy enough with them to make a fuss.(Also, this was a weeknight since that’s the only time we have off, and it wasn’t very busy inside at all.) On the weekends, they have security guys at the door to check your ID immediately upon entering, and also a security guy at the bathroom doors. The place isn’t very big at all, but it gets BUSY on the weekends, so this was fantastic to see that they really care about keeping the establishment respectable. However, they keep the music extremely loud – almost like at night clubs. If you’re planning on having a real conversation, don’t bother. If you just want to chit-chat and drink, this place is alright. Overall, I really like this place. Service is quick, even when they’re busy, and any complaints or concerns you might have are resolved quickly.

Best bar in Lancaster! I had a blast there and I will come back to Lancaster just to go to Yorgos for some boneless wings and fun. Thanks for the great times.

I came late on a Friday night so I didn’t even realize this is a restaurant by day. I also would not have known that there is a DJ and dancing downstairs had my friend not told me. Downstairs is crowded, young, and eclectic. Not somewhere I would go by myself, but if you are downtown and looking for adventure stop in.

4 stars for the burgers and fries, 1 star for the service. I probably should have been suspicious when it was the only place in the area not on a wait. Food: The burgers were well cooked and flavorful. We paid an extra 1.50 for a small sampling of fries, but what was there was hot, crispy and delicious. Hey, it left room for us to have a delicious cupcake from Lancaster cupcakes down the block. Service: Pretty much awful. After 5 minutes of sitting without being acknowledged, the nice older Greek woman asked what appeared to be a bar runner to get our drinks. He took both our drink order and meal order and I saw him pass it off to another server. It took almost another 10 minutes for her to bring us our drinks while the other guy was talking and joking with his coworkers. Our actual server seemed to hate her life and showed no interest in pretending to be friendly. When we stepped outside we exclaimed«At least the food was decent.» The couple who had exited right before us laughed and said, «yeah, that service left something to be desired didn’t it?»

Another solid offering that can be found in the heart of Lancaster City. Like most local watering holes in the county, this spot aims to make a name for itself via its daily specials. And they pretty much do a great job with the deals they offer($ 3 Fireball shot Fridays?!), not that the normally priced libations and cuisine isn’t already quite the bargain. If there’s anything this place can hang its hat on, it’s the wings. No, they are not the best wings I’ve ever had, but the laundry list of interesting and unique flavors is pretty damn impressive. They’ve got some good old standbys(i.e. variations on heat: mild-nuclear, BBQ), as well as some craziness(Asian ginger sesame, sweet chipotle mango, what the what?!). So I appreciate the craziness. All in all, they have 81 flavors, and at first glance they all look like they make sense. I’ve had the Flaming 151(classic wings flambeed/torched with some Bacardi 151), garlic honey, and BBQ. All tasty. Just a few more trips and I’ll be through the whole list, huh??? And a pitcher of lager(to share, or not…) goes great to wash everything down. Definitely a place to go in you’re in the mood for wings, or if you just wanna watch the game with some friends on a chill evening and put back a beer or a few, this place does the job just fine.

Yorgos is one of my go-to places when I am in Lancaster, PA because it seems like it is always open, and I have never had a problem with service or atmosphere. I typically hit Yorgos for lunch on a Wednesday after I get into town. The place is dimly lit with tables situated for private conversation and good beer. I have tried various dishes, but their Greek food is the best. On my most recent trip, I was trying to eat more healthy, and I ordered the Greek Village(or something close to it) Salad, and I was pleasantly surprised by the freshness of the vegetables and the overall blend of flavors. My table also ordered the appetizer sampler, which came with chicken tenders that were well breaded and cooked well. The experience was truly what I have come to expect from Yorgos, so I left happy. I have also had the pleasure of experiencing the Yorgos of night. At some point, Yorgos becomes a college bar with drink specials and other college shenanigans, but it maintains its great service and waitstaff. If you go at night, do prepare for standing room only and great conversations with strangers. Unlike a bar in a big city, people here are friendly and ready to talk, especially if you are not a local. The other benefit is that Yorgos is open until 2pm, making it the bar open latest I have found in Lancaster.

The food is so, so good here. They have a monster menu with a ton of specialty burgers and I think the wing sauce menu has 80 sauces. After dark, it turns into a dance club… so go or don’t go according to your crowd choice. The staff is always on point and friendly. I go here about once every week or every two weeks.

I was here for breakfast with a friend. Got an egg white omelette. It was fine. The service was good. I got a latte, too, and it was good. The service was quick. I would come back for breakfast.
