Fantastic. Tiny little place though. You feel like you are eating in a fishbowl because of the waiting customers, but well worth it. My family each get a different favorite dish and love it. Highly recommended!

I love this restaurant! The food is always fresh, fast and authentic. I have dined in and taken out. My order has always been correct. The beef phở with egg rolls is my go-to.

This is the place for American to try Vietnamese foods, but absolutely not authentic. I bought phở there last wk, and it s not good as I had tried before

Don’t be scared by the appearance and small size. The food is wonderful and the wait staff is very friendly. This will become a regular for us for dining in or take-out. Kid friendly menu as well. It seats around 30 people, and there were at least 10 working there the night we were there. BYOB as well.

This is the place for Vietnamese food. It is always crowded, but excellent service provided. Enjoy.

Very good food. 4 stars instead of 5 because the dishes are missing complexity/spiciness in their flavors. The food is really good, but a bit bland. The sticky rice is great. BYO. Hard to see from the road. If you enter the adjacent Burger King parking lot, drive to the rear, and you can cross over into the Rice & Noddles parking lot. It’s located between the Burger King and the Sunoco gas station, in the rear.

Some seriously delicious stuff coming out of here! The best phở in Lancaster if you ask me. Always SUPER fresh! Small seating area, so we like to take-out when we are working. I always seem to get the same thing here since it is always sooo good! The same things always on our table are the fresh spring rolls, chicken phở, veggie stir fry and lime drinks and macaroons on the side! Anything here is good. Very good customer service here! Five out of five stars!

Great reviews so we stopped for dinner. I had rolls and tofu bun a hour ago. It was poison. I am severe gastric distress. I’ve stopped twice at public restrooms on my 45 min drive home. Still in pain. We ordered quickly. Are our meal. Didn’t linger bc people were waiting for a table. Tipped well. WTH? Poison!

Clearly in the minority here but we were just not impressed. We had been really excited to try it given the tremendous amount of positive feedback this place garners around town. On a recent visit we ordered several items including summer rolls, beef lettuce wraps, a bowl of phở and the fried rice with Chinese sausage. All food items categorically lacked complexity and seasoning, which should be a hallmark of Vietnamese cuisine. However, the lime and sugar beverage was a perfect antidote to a humid night. Service was also friendly if slightly awkward. If you are really craving Vietnamese this might be your only option.

Everyone I know loves rice and noodles but I’m afraid I have not had good experiences. Dining in I was made to wait for the rest of my party(1 person) in an unheated vestibule in winter when tables were available, the restaurant had a foul odor, and I was ill from my dinner. I did try some more, takeout, which was not bad and I did not fall ill– it just isn’t as flavorful as some other similar restaurants in the area.

We ordered white chicken Phở and steak Phở for takeout, everything was luke warm, especially the chicken. The broth should have been boiling but it wasn’t. Also, they didn’t include any sauces for the Phở. Fail!

(4.5 stars) Came here last weekend with my family and we could see why it is so highly rated. The food was very high quality, we ate very well, and it was only $ 11/person. I had the pork sandwich which was fantastic — the bread for the sandwich was perfectly crusty. The phở wad delicious and we will come back whenever we come back.

Saw this on the web when I was looking for a Vietnamese place to eat. Glad I found this place. The location is right off of a main road so it’s easily accessible. The parking in front is limited and so is the back. Be careful not to park in the other parking or else you’ll get towed. The dining area is small so make sure to come during non prime time or else you’ll be waiting for a table. The place is clean but small. The service is friendly abs fast. The food is good and some of the best I’ve had. The spring rolls and the pork rolls were tasty and delicious. The phở was delicate and not over seasoned or salty. It had the perfect mix of spices and didn’t leave me smelling like phở like so many other places do. The grilled pork chop was flavorful and cooked just right. Not over cooked but cooked well enough to make sure it was cooked all the way through with a touch of crustiness. Over all my experience here was a post ice one. I will definitely be back to try more items off the menu. Thank you for reading my review. This review is based off of my personal point of view and experience.

I was in Lancaster on a business trip, and I tried this well reviewed restaurant mostly because it was the 10th anniversary of Katrina and I wanted to be supportive of this family who had moved in its wake to Lancaster. But what I found was perhaps was the best experience of Vietnamese food I’ve ever had(my other favorite is in Philly, ironically), and I returned again the next day because I wanted to try to some more of the deliciousness. On my first evening, I had the beef spring rolls and the grilled chicken on sticky rice. Amazing. The spring rolls were, hands down, the best I’ve ever had. Fresh, large, and lots of meat. One per person is perfect for an appetizer, or 2 – 3 for a meal. Then out came the grilled chicken and pork over sticky rice. I loved the combination, and I ate every bit of the sticky rice that I swore that I would avoid. The next day I returned for the shrimp spring rolls, also fabulous, and the more traditional grilled pork vermicelli noodles. Again, incredible and in perfect portion. What made this experience all the better was the incredibly beautiful welcoming hosts and servers who patiently and knowledgeably explained the menu. While I am sorry that the owner had to move from my favorite city of NOLA, how wonderful to have her and her restaurant here.

I’m a bit picky when it comes to vietnamese food having lived in little Saigon. I had the bun cha thit nuong. And it was okay. This place felt over priced for the quantity of food and portions given. My sister got the pâté sandwich which was more bread than anything else… it was so sad that even she was confused. I feel bad because a friend of mine from Hanoi loves this place. I’m guessing because of how small it is and the way they market things feels like vietnam but no thanks. The service was mediocre and we were not tended to — was wondering if it was because we were Viet because everyone else around us, even those who came after were tended to. At least they have macarons! I haven’t tried the other Viet restaurants in Lancaster but have in the Harrisburg area. I wouldn’t make this a regular place

My daughter has a soccer tournament in Lancaster– we were surprised that Lancaster had a phở place. The kids were hungry so we decided to try this place out. The food was amazing! The tra da Chanh drink was soo good. The Che Thai was good– very similar to the hallo hallo drink. My husband had the phở which was amazing. The broth was dark and full of favor. I had the bun ga Nuong which was great but I wish I had more sauce. The downside: it’s a very small place and we eat there. Would have been better if we had take out or gone at a different time when they weren’t as busy. Overall the food was great but the place a little small.

Great phở for the price! My fiancé and I visited this past week and we were really pleased. We both ordered phở — mine a medium rare beef and veggie for her. Tons of extras(jalapeños, basil, bean sprouts and lime), and plenty of food to fill us both up for under $ 9 per person. FORDINNER. Looking forward to coming back!

Overview: Absolutely fantastic Vietnamese restaurant with great food at great prices. Food: The food here is just as awesome as everyone has said. We started with an appetizer of Goi Cuon Tom and Thit Heo(Shrimp and Pork spring rolls). They were served with a hoisin peanut sauce that had been warmed. These were SO. GOOD. A great balance of fillings and the sauce is out of this world. We were practically licking the dish. For our entrees, I had the Hu Tieu(Seafood Noodle Soup), which was a combination of shrimp, squid, fishcake, and imitation crab. I absolutely adored it. The broth is super flavorful without being overly fishy. I got the rice noodles, which were cooked to perfection. The seafood was also cooked perfectly and they give you plenty of fresh bean sprouts, jalapeño, basil, and lime for more flavor! My boyfriend ordered the Banh Mi Tom Nuong sandwich, which had shrimp, mayo, onions, cucumbers, peppers, radish, and julienne carrots. He was extremely pleased with the sandwich and he’s not even huge on veggies! The bread was crispy on the outside and perfectly soft inside. A great bargain, too, at only 6.00! I couldn’t resist getting some of their French macarons to go. I love this cookie and Rice and Noodles did not disappoint. Their macarons are beautiful, with excellent flavor and a great texture! My personal favorite is the Vietnamese coffee flavor! Recommend: I can’t imagine not liking pretty much anything on their menu, but I would definitely recommend the Seafood Noodle Soup! Atmosphere: The restaurant is small and was jam-packed with a line the entire time we were there. However, it is clean with enough room to move about. I do wish they would find a larger location! Service: The staff are SO friendly. We were helped by no less than three people! The servers help each other out between the busy tables, phone orders, and counter service. And all of them inquired about how our meal was and made sure we were taken care of and our drinks were refilled.

The boyfriend took me here for dinner, he’s a regular here for lunch and recommends it so why not? This place reminds me a lot of Mekong Delta Café in Baltimore. The crowd, selection of food and style of cooking. The place is a bit small but can seat up to 20 people. We shared a Goi Cuon Bo Xao and a Bun Rieu Cua. The Goi Cuon Bo Xao are spring rolls filled with stir fried beef, yellow onions, vermicelli, lettuce, basil, radish and carrots. The Bun Rieu Cua was a vermicelli noodle soup served with crab and pork meatballs with deep fried tofu in a tamarind tomato soup. Everything was very unique and different from what I was used to based on the vietnamese restaurants I’ve dined at in NYC, California, Baltimore, New Jersey, Canada, Chicago and other places in Lancaster. The spring rolls were good, but I prefer pork or shrimp spring rolls. The sauce was quite unique. It complimented the rolls pretty well. The basil and lettuce was a refreshing addition to the spring rolls. The noodle soup is great on a cold rainy day. Very flavorful and rich. The broth was light and was not too salty or greasy. I thought it was strange that they had crab meat balls, I think I prefer meat ones instead of seafood ones. I didn’t like the fried tofu too much, I think the dish itself could just have meatballs for the toppings and skip out on the tofu. I really liked the noodles they used. I’ve never had this type of vermicelli noodles before. The texture was really good. Aside from vietnamese savory dishes, they also offer a wide variety of sweets and coffee drinks. My boyfriend finds them a bit overpriced. They’re currently offering pumpkin macaroons, didn’t get to try but maybe next time. Definitely worth checking out if you want to sample different vietnamese dishes than the usual phở or nem cuon. My only complain is the service, it took a while to get their attention for the check.
