Best cheesesteak hands down. I’ve had cheesesteaks from a dozen spots in Philly, up and down the coast, even in Europe. When it comes to a delicious cheesesteak I have yet to find a place that make them better. They only accept cash, the place is pretty divey, a little bit dirty looking too, but I’ve been on the hunt for years to find a spot with better cheesesteaks and my search seems neverending.

My favorite cheese steak in Lancaster county. That’s all I’ve ever gotten from there. Standard dive bar beer selection and filth, but I like that sometimes. A bit pricey for a foot long. Staff has always been friendly to me.

Great cheesesteak. The steak is uniquely seasoned but it doesn’t overpower the flavor of the sandwich. They make you pay extra for couple slices of cheese. They also have pizza and other sandwiches on the menu. Staff don’t say much but I like it that way. The price is fair for the amount of food you get.

The cheesesteaks here are not as good as some people say they are. Compared to Laspadas, their cheesesteaks are average. If you need something to eat and have no where to go, this place fits the bill. A reviewer said these cheesesteaks are the best in town. If they are the best in town, that is a sad statement if you are looking for those in this part of PA. My friend ordered an Italian hoagie. That was so so he said. I think we could have gotten a cheaper meal that was just as good at Subway.

Best cheesesteaks in town or anywhere around. They always treated me great since day one. The cheesesteaks are always full and fat. The menu isnt large but it doesn’t need to be. Everything they do they do well. Never a dissapointment. They have been in business 40 yrs and could probably used refreshed but I like the nostalgia. The prices are fair considering the market. If you want a REALPHILLYCHEESESTEAK come here.

This is where you go to spend your day when you don’t have a job and want to sit on a barstool drinking beer for hours. The employees are rude. The floors are filthy and don’t go into the restrooms. Even if they had the best food in the world and they don’t, why would you eat here? It’s a dump, keep driving. Not a good part of town at night.

I have never been here before, BUT when I called to ask about their cheesesteaks that I read were so great this rude lady answered the phone with an attitude like I was bother her by calling! Then when I asked about the different sizes of cheesesteak subs she sighs and says hold on to see what sizes they have! Then when answering me she tells me that they charge extra for cheese on a cheesesteak sub and rudely explains how when people go to other restaurants and get a cheeseburger they charge extra for the cheese. This lady was the worst and made me not want to give them my business.!! RUDE!

Great steaks! Stopped here for a bite to eat before leaving Lancaster. Was well worth it. Choice of american or provolone cheeses, comes with onions and what I call«red gravy» on top. Well seasoned. Awesome roll! They actually sliced our provolone cheese off the block, right before putting it on top of the meat to melt. simply delicious! They have beer! That’s a big plus when eating cheesesteaks! Can’t wait to try the pizza next time. This place will quickly become a regular stop every time I’m in town. CASHONLY, no credit cards.

The Rendezvous has seen better days. When I order a cheesesteak with onions and sauce, I don’t get cheese. Apparently this is the only place on earth that doesn’t put«cheese» on a «cheesesteak» without a special request(and extra charge). Worse yet, they cook big batches of meat that they warm up all night as sandwich orders come in. Whatever its history, this place can and should do better than this.

Best cheesesteak in lancaster. No… they do not use«whizz» because that was Pat’s gimmick and then Geno’s stole it… and it’s a philly tourist thing. Real cheesesteaks have tomato sauce, onions, chopped up pressed steak and one of several cheese choices: provolone, mozzarella, American, cheddar.

While the pizza is typical enjoyable-without-being-awesome fare, it is the cheesesteaks where Rendezvous shines. They are big, and they are delicious, and I’m pretty sure one of these days they’re going to kill me. Because, let’s be honest, no cheesesteak is exactly nutritious. That said, I’m a pretty big whiz-on-a-cheesesteak devote, and Rendevous doesn’t offer whiz. But since I have yet to find a cheesesteak in Lancaster WITH whiz, it’s not exactly a deal-breaker.(In the interest of full disclosure, I haven’t tried a cheesesteak everywhere – there could be whizzed cheesesteaks that I haven’t discovered yet.)

Easily the best cheesesteak in Lancaster. I’ve had cheesesteaks from most of the sandwich shops in Lancaster Captain Gus’s, Cravings, Steakout, V&S, etc., but have yet to find anything coming close to the mouth watering cheesesteaks at Rendezvous; and there’s only one place in philly I can compare to this local treasure. I’m glad I have an active lifestyle as it allows me to eat guilt-free here several times a month. In fact I’ve eaten at Rendezvous nine times in the past week. Breaking down the Cheesesteak: The bun is hardy enough to hold all the juicy steak and cheese without getting soaked through, and at the same time it’s soft and very delicious. Cheese is cheese I don’t care what anybody says. The steak is juicy, but not overly greasy. It’s seasoned perfectly with just the right amount of salt, pepper, and other perfectly subtle spices. The sauce has a very light flavor which is perfect for a cheesesteak(you want to taste the meat not overpowering tomato sauce). The building and location aren’t very nice, but sandwich shops are mostly a carry/out operation.
