My husband and I just had dinner this past weekend at Picasso’s. The pepperoni pizza and medium wings were wonderful. Pizza was crispy and delicious. My husband is from that area and we went there because he suggested so. However, the only issue I have is the cleanliness of the bathroom, or lack thereof. I opened the door and turned around and walked away. This is the only reason they didn’t get 5 stars. I understand this business is primarily take out and delivery but in that case, close down the dining room. I can’t imagine it getting much business anyway. Or, update and clean your bathrooms. Also, the dining room windows were very dirty. But I would go back when in the area.

I’ve never had a bad pie from Picasso’s pizza, and I’ve had a lot of them. If you’re looking for a thicker crust, great cheese, and well seasoned dusting of spices you’ve got it each and every time you order from Picasso’s. Their wings are reliably good for the most part, however I venture elsewhere in the neighborhood when craving solely wings or fried goods. Prices are on the higher end so be prepared to spend a bit more than usual. That being said a large pie is LARGER than you’re accustom to, so plan accordingly and enjoy!

Not a big fan of their subs but best Cesar salad I’ve ever had! Dressing is delicious and croutons are to die for! Order with chicken, worth the extra few bucks!

I went here again the past week(twice). Food hasn’t changed, still awesome! I wish they would open a branch in Boston!!!

Sub rolls are terrible, they are wannabe subway rolls and are untoasted. If they would just use standard buffalo costanzos rolls, their subs would be a lot better. It’s like they are trying to save money by making rolls in house(I assume this is where these awful rolls come from) — maybe they just buy the herbs and cheese rolls from subway and remove the cheese portion. The lettuce and tomato on my chicken finger sub were wilted and not tasty at all. They also place their subs in sub size cardboard boxes with their logo all over it which is obviously a huge marketing ploy. They should save money on the marketing and invest in some good rolls. Many places in buffalo with a lot better subs than these guys. Look elsewhere.

Great food, great service. Only thing I could say bad about the place is if you need to use their restroom you have to go down stairs, that were greasy and slippery, and I almost fell. I’m not holding that against them because the food and service was excellent and it’s a great location in the heart of Lancaster.

I’m also a native buffalonian, and visit Picasso’s when I am back to visit my family. Just stopped in last week for a ham sub which was out of this world. Also enjoy their pizza and wings.

Used to be fan of Picasso’s, until I actually worked there. I’ve worked in food business, so I understand, it gets busy and such. But the things that I saw there, I find appalling and I never order their food and never recommend them to anyone either.

Slices are HUGE and over flowing with delicious sauce and cheese. Bread is crispy yet soft. Yummy is the word to describe it. Two stars off because on two occasions ordered plain slices but somehow, found pieces of pepperoni in the cheese. I don’t eat meat so that’s a turn off.

This place used to be my favorite! Every time we’d get a medium pizza itd be perfect, so good we’d get a large the next time. I think they sell less medium pizzas so the dough actually had time to rise. Maybe once ive gotten a perfect large and that was not a busy night. I think they sell so many large pizzas that the dough does not rise enough. So what happens is everytime we get a large the dough around the perimeter seems to be risen and cooked and when the perimeter rises all the sauce flows into the lower un risen/raw center and the the pieces in the center are all soggy, saucey and sloppy. It’s one of the most expensive pies around and I think the pizza makers in the back are in a hurry too pump out pizza’s instead of quality consistant pizzas. This was the first review Ive ever written on any business ever. Good job Picasso’s getting me to actually Unilocal

Pizza was at 4 stars for a long time and as much as I would like to continue supporting my favorite pizza in the area, its time for a downgrade. The sauce is my favorite in the area by far, the cheese is exceptional, just perfect! Pepperoni is pepperoni, nothing fancy here. The crust is always thin, and sometime greasy, in a good way(mozzarella sweats). I always enjoyed this pizza but then as I got older I started to respect the value of good food and in my honest opinion, the price is what is throwing me off. Its overly expensive, and although rather delicious, the consistency is always off, its never the same. Wings are my least favorite, I ordered mild and they were almost plain. I ordered medium and they were buttery and flavorless. Now here is a 4 star review on the chicken finger sub. Quite possibly my favorite sub in the area, tied with a few other places but wow its superb! The homemade rolls are what makes it I think, besides the giant fingers that they supply. I asked for extra saucy however they were anything but that, didn’t care! LOVE The subs here, always a pleasure. In closing, the only time I shall order food from here will be when I need a good sub, otherwise I think it is time for me to move on.

First time ordering. Got stinger and stuffed pepper subs. Both very good. Appreciate use of boxes for the subs. Will try pizza in the near future.

Went back again and had a great pepperoni, mushroom and onion pizza. When the owner is there, it’s made to perfection. The sauce is extremely flavorful, the dough is obviously made from scratch, the mozzarella is real, and the toppings are plentiful. The quality meets the price as this is not cheap pizza, but definitely worth it.

Great pizza. Try the calzones. You can’t finish it even though you will try. The antipasto salad is exactly what I expected. Delicious !!!

Since I moved to Lancaster, I tried a few of the local pizza joints but took awhile to order from Picasso’s because the prices were very steep. When I had a coupon, I decided to give them a shot. You should be aware when you are ordering that a large pizza is actually a half-sheet pizza, so with the higher price you do get a larger pizza. Now on to the pizza itself. When I try a pizza place for the first time, I like to go with a regular old cheese and pepperoni to see if they are good at the basics. The dough, sauce and cheese were all very good. Dough not too thick, not too thin. Sauce zesty. Cheese — OK but maybe a bit sparse on the cheese. The only thing I wasn’t crazy about was the pepperoni. There was too much pepperoni! Why is this not a good thing? Because it causes the pizza to become overly greasy and at my advanced age, über-greasy pizza gives this old fart heartburn. I’ll go back eventually, but I’ll try a different topping.

I’m a fan yes. There sauce is great with just the right amount if seasonings. The large is more than enough. There pepperoni has a nice dark smoke to it that tastes fantastic on a pie. The dough is buffalo style(an in between of thick and thin) Finally yes finally the stuffed pepper craze has landed here! The stuffed peppers on the pizza are great! As for the subs, there so-so and I’d usually say pass to those! A good place to grab a pie, although they’d rank outside my top 10 in the WNY area I still wouldn’t shy away from going back.

We love the pizza here but it is the most expensive place in Lancaster, but you get what you pay for and it’s great!

I generally order the lunch special which is 1 slice of pizza($ 0.30 upcharge for white instead of pepperoni), a salad, and a medium drink for $ 6.05-$ 6.35. It’s good pizza. The salad is decent and I generally wind up saving that for lunch the next day or dinner that night. What irks me *every time* I order is that I am expecting it to be $ 6-$ 8 and it comes to $ 11 delivered BEFORETIP. So, the order I place for my $ 6 lunch turns into well over $ 12 after I tip the driver. Next time, I’ll go pick it up myself and give MYSELF a $ 6 tip.

Grew up in Lancaster, but haven’t lived in the area for almost 15 years. Whenever I go back to visit friends & family, this is one of the ‘must haves’ on my list. Plain and simple, their cheese& pepperoni pizza is the best I’ve ever had anywhere. Their subs are pretty good too, especially the ones that use the flat-style sausage. Royals are my favorite, but they offer some alternatives like steak & sausage that are very good.

Picasso’s pizza is getting really sloppy. Their prices keep going up and the quality is not consistent. Ever since they have started serving their square large pizza it’s been raising menu costs about every 6 months, and they tend to be much higher than other local pizzerias. Their large cheese and pepperoni pizza might taste pretty good depending on the day. Lately it looks like they just throw it together, sometimes you get a saucy piece that’s super sloppy, and sometimes you get a piece of dough with cheesy and layers of greasy pepperoni. I do like the breadsticks. I love my buffalo pizza but sorry Picasso’s you aren’t my top pick anymore.
