The hostess was rude and said she wasn’t sure how long the wait would be(in a pissy tone) even though there were plenty of empty tables. We then sat at a table in the bar area. The tables were dirty, food & bottles were sitting around for over ½ hour. The waiter approached, but didn’t wipe down our table. The soup was watered down and had no flavor. The service was poor & we had to ask the waiter for several things, several times. Overall, poor service, poor quality, & overpriced.

Service was excellent. Food was beyond delicious. Crab cakes get ten stars. The Asian noodles was 9 ½ stars and the lettuce wraps were very good. Cute outdoor restaurant too.

My wife a friend and I were there this past weekend for a conference. We were seated as well as a Mother and son behind us on the left side of this restaurant by the windows as if you were facing the restaurant. The mother and son were not part of the conference we were attending. We had an hour and fifteen minuets for lunch. After we and the mother and son were seated ten minuets had gone by and no one had visited our tables. I got up and asked the mother and son if some one had come to their table and I was told no. so I said that I will take care of it. I went to the first hostess that I saw and told he about it, within a few minuets a server showed up and took our order and left and did not take the mother and son’s order. After bringing our drinks she then took our order and came back and took the order of the mother and son. When our appetizer arrived we gave the rest of the order to the server and a little while later she returned with our order and the mother and son sitting behind us was still waiting. The sever asked if we were part of the conference and we replied yes, and she said she will be back with our check. We still had to wait to be cashed out so we could get back to the conference late for the meeting. As my wife and friend left to go back to the conference I overhear the manager letting the mother and son know that she want to make their experience that they had today right. So I then spoke to the same manager, she tells me that they were not prepared fro the amount of business they had today. I told the manager that when i was younger I worked in a restaurant and I did every job but manage. She did apologize for the poor service but did not want to do the same for us as she was going to do for the mother and son that sat behind us. Now in my experience in the restaurant business if my business is part of the hotel that a conference is being held at, as a manage I would find out how many people would be attending the conference to make sure I had full staff that day. I would rather lose money paying extra staff then getting told about not having enough staff to take care of the business that may show up that day. Ok in saying all of this I do not know if she was doing this because my table was all people of color(I am not trying to play the race card) But there was a difference treatment that was done between us which was not right. What I did not tell the manager that my wife and I Secret Shops various restaurants and in the questioner we fill out is did the manager try to make bad experience right I don’t know if she thought that after the conference she will never see us again. My wife is from Maretta PA just an 11 mile drive and still have family there so it’s still a possibility we could visit again. On their Facebook page they posted for me to call the vp to talk called and left messages and received no call back. If you are on you will see this same reveiw

Food was okay. My girlfriend and I both ordered Flatbread pizzas. The service, however, was less than satisfactory. We were at the bar, which after ten minutes, pretty much cleared out. Still, it took about fifteen minutes to get menus. The biggest problem was disorganization and lack of communication between the staff. It culminated when we got the check. We were charged for beverages we didn’t order and not charged for one’s we ordered. I won’t be going back soon.

I am so surprised at the high ratings from others on Unilocal.Service wise, I get it but food wise? Ordered nachos for an appetizer and that is the only reason why I give this place two stars. They were pretty good but the flatbread and cheese steak were unfortunately, not. The chicken on the flatbread was incredibly dry and the whole thing was way over cooked. The cheese steak was not good either. In no way do I think the atmosphere and service justify the high prices and low quality food.

Great food good servers. Never a dissapointment. French onion soup is always my favorite. I try something different on the menu every time and always a good choice. Awesome place to stop when on the motorcycle as well.

Ate here, drank here, and stayed here with my wife and a group of good friends, food was very good, the wait staff was competent, the bar tenders knew what they were doing, and the rooms were clean and looked better than most hotels. Also the package we got for the room and the renaissance festival was well worth the money. We had an amazing weekend thanks to Loxley’s and we will be sure to return in the future.

The food is ok but the staff really makes the difference. They’re good with groups and easy to work with which, in Lancaster County, is saying something. I’ve been here with a group twice and was impressed, both times, at the way the management and the staff helped make the event a success

If my rating was based on my server alone, it would be 5 star. But I’m basing it on everything I dealt with the whole night. There was a gaggle of old women next to us the were shrieking and laughing for the hour plus we waited for our appetizer. These old biddies decided to tell at our children for being loud! The nerve!!! As i said we waited over an hour for food, they were kids and they were HUNGRY! Even though the wait was about 1 and a half hours for our food… The food was really good. But unfortunately the overall experience was terrible. We were sat at a table underneath a light that KEPTFLICKERING!!! Your experience may be better than mine… I doubt it’ll be worse. But it’s up to you.

How have I never heard of this place before?! Had dinner tonight with husband and two kids(aged 3 yrs and 10 months). There is a kid’s menu, though it isn’t on their website, and it didn’t feel awkward to have kids. The beer and cocktail list was good and both hubby and I found something we wanted to drink. I ordered an appetizer and entrée from the specials and hubby ordered off the regular menu. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals, and tasting each others’. The food was truly delicious! The whipped potatoes were a real highlight. It was certainly on the pricy side, but worth it! Next time, we’ll call ahead and get a table outside. It was great weather, but there was no wait for a table inside(30 minute wait to sit outside) and we opted for not waiting with the kids.

Amazing food and the staff is absolutely wonderful! We had a wait of about 30 minutes to get our table upstairs on the open air deck with trees and a gentle breeze. Appetizers came out quickly and our waitress was very attentive and pleasant. I can’t say enough good about the food. The chef even made an off the menu scallop dish for us upon finding out that it was our anniversary. Pricing was moderate and so very worth every penny. I highly recommend this restaurant!!!

What a great fun place to go while in Lancaster. The décor is Awesome. The food was really good and seasoned well. I got the chicken and waffles and I never had it served with a chicken stew before, it was really good. They have a really great beer list that has a lot of local brewery on it.

Carolyn and Doug(bartenders) are great. So is the atmosphere and beer selection. But this place has made the most bizarre decisions over the years. We’ve been loyal patrons because it’s close to home, and we are more and more disappointed with each passing month. Poor management decisions have lead to odd choices in hiring, menu changes where the few excellent dishes are eliminated, increased prices, elimination of specials that brought patrons there, and inconsistency with food quality(raw chicken, nachos with no cheese, medium rare burgers repeatedly cooked to well done, etc. Etc.). It’s really such a shame. This place has so much potential. But, they will always make money off of the travelers staying in the hotel who don’t know any better, and the many people who just love an outdoor spot in warm weather, so they’ll stay afloat.

Great atmosphere! We sat on the patio on a 88 degree day and it wasn’t hot at all. Shades and fans are well thought out. Eating under the treehouse was great while live music was being played at the bar above. Good burger and fries, a bit on the pricey side($ 12) but you’re paying for ambience. Our service was A+, ask for Landon!

The scenery was nice, indoor and lots of outdoor seating. Food was good and reasonably priced from $ 10-$ 30. Did take alittle while to come out, but it was good.

As a Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre employee, we go to Loxleys’s a lot. The ambience is awesome and the local crowd is pretty cool… BUT: As a NYC food/customer service professional I can honestly say this is the WORST bar I’ve ever been to. The bar staff is pretty inept, and of the six times I’ve been here over the past seven weeks, at least one person in my party has had an issue in regards to customer service, getting no service, or being over-charged. I wish the owners of this place would either fire the staff or train them to industry standard. Look for the blond bartender… The later you’re there the drunker he gets. You can’t miss him, he will screw up your order AND give you the wrong change, then blame it on you. Go to Austin Rays with Christina as bartender, or Villa Nova and have Aaron take care of you. These places are all about customer service, and won’t screw you over.

My wife and I stopped in for dinner(late Valentine’s Day dinner). It was our first time there. The atmosphere is comfortable. The menu seems to be all over the place from meatloaf and shepherds pie to blu cheese encrusted filet. I suppose that could be a pro or a con depending on what you like or wanted. The entrees and presentation were excellent and the food was served promptly. The waitress was friendly and attentive(for the most part). The cons… They don’t take reservations unless it’s for a party of 8 or more. The waitress presented my wife and I with the dessert menu. After making our selections, our waitress returned just a few minutes later to let us know the menu she’d given us was just changed a few days ago and as a result my selection was no longer available. I quickly reviewed the new menu and wasn’t interested in anything. Disappointing way to end the dinner. I see this mistake as the responsibility of the waitress and management. If they change the menu, all of the old menus should be discarded. But it’s also the responsibility of the waitress to know the menus and she should know what she’s presenting. Afterward, my wife and I waited a little longer than we would’ve preferred for the waitress to come back around to close out the check. Overall a good experience and my wife and I will be going again. We’ve had better experiences elsewhere but we’ve also had much worse.

The décor is so cute. From the mini waterfall out front to the tree house – the décor is charming. The staff was supper nice and accommodating, too. They have delicious bread and an amazing butter-cinnamon spread. I tried the side salad, lamb gyro and the Mediterranean panini: both the gyro and panini just did not taste that good to me. Both were very bland. The salad was the yummiest part of my meal and even that was average. I would give this place one more shot in the summer when I can eat in the treehouse !

I was here in the winter, so perhaps they will get more stars from me during the warmer weather months where I can enjoy the patio dining. Unfortunately, there is one bathroom for this large venue and it is no where near the bar.

I was shocked to see some of the negative reviews for this establishment. I ate here once last summer for a girl’s night out. We all thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant and food. The service was wonderful. The atmosphere on the patio was perfect for a night out. I love the idea of the Robin Hood/charity. They had a DJ at the bar and we decided to stay after dinner and have a few drinks. I’d definitely eat here again.
