Great service and very friendly and efficient staff. We went late and sat upstairs. Very cool. The pizza was unique and pretty good. My wife had the mussels and was happy. The ambiance and décor would probably be the selling points.

I was passed by Fenz very day since I moved to Lancaster, and I always keep it in my mind, and I really wanna get inside to check out. Today finally I just get there, everything I saw and tasted was just amazing, and my bar tender, also the owner here: Steve, he is very nice one, gave me a special drink as I asked something without alcohol, and I ordered the scollop dish, it was awesome, just the way I like. The inner décor is soft and fancy, I love it! Definitely will come back! And make a list of my favorite restaurant in lancaster:-) thank you Fenz, still give me a chance to stay and taste even I’m coming so late today, I’m so appreciate about that !

This restaurant is hands down the best restaurant in Lancaster. Their food is superb! Love love love the beet salad. Burgers are great! Truffle fries– you can’t stop eating them! Seasonal specials are so interesting and delightful. Atmosphere is beautiful and they outdo themselves at Christmas. You must not miss this culinary delight!

Fenz has been our top favorite for several years. Recently some dishes were changed and they simply did not measure up to the previous way they were prepared.(Lamb Chops and Beet Salad) It would have been better to remove them altogether from the menu and offer something new and delicious, than mess with the perfection that they were. The crab cake special was in no way lump meat and had too much filler for even half the price. The baked chicken was in far too much broth to be considered«au jus» and the vegetables were limp and mostly indistinguishable. The seared Tuna, which is a staple and has also been tweaked, was still great, as was the soup of the day. The cocktails and the wait staff were on point as always and helped to save the night. We are going to have to give Fenz a break for a while.

We went here for the first time earlier this week. For a mid-week evening it was happening. Good thing we had a reservation! The ambiance is great. And the food we had was great – fresh, creative and well plated. Everything tasted great. The service was attentive. I’m only giving 3 stars because my fine dining experience requires one more element… equally fabulous and creative cocktails. I don’t know if the server was off or what but the cocktails weren’t just mediocre… they were bad. While I’m sure there are some folk that might consider them acceptable… in a town with the sort of top drawer cocktail options you can get pretty much in the same block as this place… I don’t know that I’d come back unless I was certain this was improved substantially.

Needed to find a place that was open for an early dinner, and this was very close to Mean Cup. As in pretty much next door close. I walked in, and it was empty except for a manager type, but then again, it was a bit after 4(even my grandparents didn’t eat this early, but I knew I’d be going nonstop until after 8 and then had a drive to make). Can’t say the man who greeted me was exactly warm. I was offered a choice of the downstairs bar or the upstairs bar. Perhaps if I’d asked for a table I might have gotten one, but the bar was fine; I was in a hurry anyway. I was seated, and the bartender took care of me. Super nice, great to talk to, very good server – made up for the manager/maitre d’s demeanor. No complaints there. I was having a bit of a burger craving, and he recommended their Fenz Burger. I ordered it medium rare with blue cheese and swapped out the fries for asparagus. Took a little while, but I’d given myself plenty of time. The burger was, as they say, A-OK, and for $ 14, I expect a little better than OK. It was more medium, and while I had originally sworn off any condiments – thinking that the blue cheese and whatever they naturally did to it would be enough – it really wasn’t. So I got some ketchup. I also should have pulled off some of the raw red onion, which was a bit overwhelming. I mentioned to the maitre d’ that some caramelized onions would have been great on it. I didn’t get the impression he was overly enthused by my suggestion, though I said something as well to the bartender, who told me the staff plays around with the burgers after hours, and that since caramelized onions are in some of their other setups, they could easily swap those in next time. Good to know, though too late to help me this time. The asparagus were OK, though the problem with cooking asparagus of fairly uneven size is that you can get a fairly uneven cook. And they did. Deviled egg was likewise OK. My friend’s neighbor makes a rock star version of deviled eggs, and this wasn’t quite as good as his. In any case, the bottom line: pleasant environment, one great server(the bartender), one coulda been nicer guy(the manager/maitre d’), and food that was A-OK but not super special.

One of the coolest restaurants I’ve been too. The wait staff was top notch, very well trained and the food was excellent. The ambience of the restaurant was very intimate, but with the bar so close to our table, we heard a lot of loud people there. We did wait a little longer for our food, but it was worth the wait! Definitely will come back again.

FENZ fried pickles appetizer is the only good food item I’ve tried on their menu to date. I’ve given this place three tries and it has never delivered. My last meal was served on the cold side with no flavor, like it was sitting too long waiting to be served at the table, granted it was a vegetarian dish but it lacked any sort of character.

Went here for restaurant week in Lancaster. This place, the waitstaff runs like a well oiled machine. Everything is perfectly timed, no table had a dirty plate left on it for more then a few moments. Food is delivered hot and tasty. Drinks are made just the way you want them. Nice selection of deserts. Can’t wait for the summer to arrive to be able to try their deck area.

First time eating here, and I loved it! We sat upstairs, the atmosphere was lovely and warm. We ordered a bunch of appetizers– deviled eggs, tuna, and bruschetta, all of which were very tasty; my only complaint overall is that the deviled egg serving only had 3 halves, and that seemed strange to me, I think it should have 4 halves(2 whole eggs), but that’s just my opinion. I ordered the quinoa/farro salad and added grilled salmon to it… The salad was excellent! Flavorful, interesting, filling! I highly recommend it! I also ordered the cheese board, flight of 5; excellent variety of cheeses, with toasts and fig preserves, we had fun taste testing everything. Great service, very attentive, everyone seemed happy with all of their food.

I’ve been here a few times but the last time we were here, I was less than impressed. I like how you get a choice of 3 rolls but neither the buttermilk biscuit nor the pumpernickel roll was good in my opinion. Both were on the dry side, and the pumpernickel one was super strong and the biscuit had hardly any flavor, except almost too sour. The food was also fair. We shared a farro salad as a first course, which we thought was going to be mainly greens and farro and other items mixed in, but instead the main ingredient was farro. It was a good salad, just heavy with the other entrees we ordered. We also got the dressing on the side, which probably would have been way to heavily dressed if we hadn’t. It was a thick dressing but good. One entrée we ordered was the pasta bolognese. This was extremely salty, but the pasta was perfectly cooked. The other dish we ordered was the meatloaf, which was too homogenous, bready, and as a result many bites were mushy. There were a few crisper bites on the ends. It was a very big, generous portion. The green beans were cooked nicely and not too oily. The macaroni and cheese it came with was very good but also very rich. I think it’d be nice if this place changed up its menu once in awhile.

I can’t say enough about Fenz! We visited on Valentine’s Day. Started our dinner with the best deviled eggs I’ve ever eaten. Our Party had the seared tuna, short ribs, tilefish and I have the meatloaf. Yes, meatloaf And Mac and cheese for Valentine’s Day. It was fantastic! It was a snowy and windy night so it was perfect! We also had the beet salad and they spilt it for us, no extra charge. For dessert, I had the limoncello parfait which I would go back for. Can’t wait to go back! Special shout out to our waiter/bar tender Dustin who was the BEST!!! The place is really decorated nicely and Is very comfortable.

I ordered the $ 20 fried chicken. The chicken took over 30 minutes to come out. It was burnt and one of the pieces hadn’t been dabbed off or let to drip dry so it was covered in grease. The bartender was nice enough to comp me for my beer because of the wait. The person I was with got the spare ribs and he loved them. I should call Gordon Ramsay on this place. How do you charge $ 20 for fried chicken, ruin it, then serve it? Love that chicken at Popeyes!

We had a fantastic meal on Saturday night. The pickle fries were amazing, as was the catch of the day. My husband inhaled the pot roast and we fought over the last bite of the chocolate peanut butter torte. The service was truly exceptional. Juan made the night even more enjoyable. The ambiance is great and even though it was an hour drive for us, I’d happily make the trip again.

Enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and service! First, I really enjoyed sitting on the outdoor patio. The view of the property across the street wasn’t the best, but you could see the ballpark which was nice. Ordered the meatloaf with Mac and cheese. It must have been an off night for the meatloaf, which I found limp flavorless and a bit depressing. The Mac and cheese on the other hand was one of the best I’ve ever had(sorry mom!) and I wish I’d taken some home for later. Great service too!

Nice atmosphere at this restaurant. Upstairs is more fun than downstairs”. It’s a bar, and it can get crowded. Food is fine, but the menu is nothing special.

Decided to give this place a second chance after being like ‘eh’ a few years ago. Last night was first chance wife and I were able to get out since having our son four months ago. It was phenomenal. We had the pickle fries, mussels in white wine sauce, and both the hanger steak with cornbread purée and chimichuri sauce. Great flavors and cooked perfectly. James was a great waiter. Only thing I could say would be that I understand it is moreso a martini bar, but they could carry more than three beers(Bells two hearted ale was great, only other choices are/were Yuengling and Stella). Also was hoping there would be a white fish on the menu. I would recommend sticking to steaks or fish here though for entrée… had paella time before and wife the meatloaf with neither of us impressed that time. All in all solid choice, but a lot of local competition.

Fenz Restaurant was one of the only restaurant’s that was open during the late night hours in the Lancaster area. My wife and I order the Fried Pickles, Spinach & Beet Salad, Julie’s Meatloaf, & Steamed Mussels. The ambiance made it feel like you were in a hip lounge with multiple bars and TVs showing the football games. My reviews per dish is as follows: Fried Pickles — 5***** Spinach & Beet Salad — 3*** Julie’s Meatloaf — 3*** Steamed Mussels — 3*** The staff service was 3.5*** Have fun eating!
