Taco Del Mar

Not worth the money I spent. Being from California I know good Mexican fast food and this is garbage. They skimped on everything and what we did get was gross! Not going back!

I got two burritos and my total was $ 14.xx. The burritos had no flavor, a lot of rice and barely any meat.

The restaurant I wanted to try was packed, but it was my lunch time and had to get something before heading back to work, so thought I would give this place a shot.
Never been to anything like this, but it is kinda like a «Subway» sandwich shop for burritos. I didn’t know how to dress it so I trusted the person behind the counter. Got a spinach tortilla with chicken and all the fixin’s.
It was good, but not awesome, but it is probably because this isn’t the type of food I really like. If you like burritos, you will probably really like this place. The place had plenty of customers, so it must be good.
Service was with a smile, and was really fast. Can’t complain. If I go back, I will probably get the fish tacos. If I had fish tacos, this review would probably be four stars as I like fish tacos, I am just not a burrito fan.

I have tried most of the Taco Del Mar’s in the Tacoma/​Lakewood area along with some in Olympia too. This one by far makes the best food, they don’t skimp on the toppings and sometimes they do get busy but the staff is always nice. I only go to this one now.

Fast yummy burritos, better than Taco Bell, but I still get to be bad and have nacho cheese to make myself workout harder the next day. The people that work there are nice but sometimes the food can be a little old tasting but I enjoy the nacho cheese all the same.

Not sure if it was because I came when people were changing shifts. But a lot of the food was running low and was in need of being restocked. If they ran low people had to just pick something else instead of replacing the containers right then and there. One worker was overwhelmed and kept complaining about the previous worker since he left things undone while another worker was calm but seemed like she did not wanna be there. We had to repeat our orders to them multiple times since their minds seemed elsewhere.
A couple in the line before us even decided to leave because it seemed like «it took days to get help.»
One thing overall about taco del mar I don’t like is that they don’t cut your burritos anymore because they don’t want bits of foil in people’s food which I understand but if that’s the case they should cut it before they roll it up then…

NASTY… been here twice in the last ten years. Never been good. Tortillas for burritos are always overly steamed making them soggy. Fillings are flavorless. Take your money to a real taqueria… you will be much more satisfied and it will cost about the same if not less.

Small amount of meat on my burrito. Also don’t like the up charge for sour cream, guacamole, and steak. Would be nice if there was a salsa bar in the seating area. My burrito was dripping with something and it made the tortilla soggy.

I don’t always eat fast food, but when I do, I prefer Taco Del Mar. Stay hungry my friends.

Healthy alternative to fast food. 2 tacos rice and beans on tuesday for 5 dollars.

Great selection, taste wise the food is uncomplaining.

Nice staff, fast service, and tasty food. I like the half-​size mondito burritos and the burrito bowls. Wish they didn’t charge you extra to add extra cheese or guacamole, but that’s more of a general Taco Del Mar complaint. This location is well kept and convenient if you’re looking for a quick lunch in Lakewood.

The food is decent even though they don’t cook it. My daughter complained of not having melted cheese, which I didn’t think was a big deal. Their customer service leaves a lot to be desired though. We will probably go back — when we can’t find some place better to eat.
