Stack Subs

I’ve eaten here a couple of times now, the service is always incredibly slow and the employees seem less than interested in assisting customers. We had to repeat ourselves numerous times to one employee which made the whole process slow way down and the line started to back up. The food is tasty — there’s no doubt about that. But it can be a bit pricey for a larger group. I’m sure I’ll be back but it’s not always going to be my first choice.

I live in the area and have been hoping for better dining options in the neighborhood. The food is okay, nothing too complicated about sandwiches. What bothers me and won’t have me returning is the horribly rude staff. I have visited 3 times and each time am greeted with individuals who seem like they are angry, annoyed and would rather be anywhere but work. Not a pleasant atmosphere in my opinion.

Gluten free bread and great care for putting on brand new gloves to make sandwiches, should you be Celiac. Loved this place! Super affordable and right next to the theater :)

Tried it today. My wife and I both like it. Price is very reasonable and food is fresh. Friendly service. no complaints other than parking is NOT FREE. But this is not their fault.

I love this place. I’ve been here dozens of times and they always make everything absolutely perfect. I inly like a lighter toast to my subs and they nail it everytime! What’s better? The service friggin’ ROCKS! They always treat you like a person and not a customer. Half of the time the conversations are so fun that you’ll forget you ordered food! I’ve been to other sub joints around the area, which, too, are quality, but just the tiny bit of extra attention goes a very long way. I’ll be back for sure! I’m glad they aren’t any closer; I’d be 40 pounds heavier!

Disappointed in this spot. We had high hopes based on the pictures. Highly over priced since it was 31.00 for 3 of us to eat. 3 small sandwiches, cup soup, 2 chips and a drink only. Potato soup was thick and bland and we will need to stop somewhere soon to eat because it wasnt much food.
I had the Italian with the hot pepper spread and have to say my sandwich was very tasty and they didnt skimp on the meat, my husbands and sons sandwiches were not that good.

Great food, great service, what else are you looking for?!
The bread stands apart — the meats are great, but it doesn’t matter if the bread isn’t up to par. The bread is fantastic, we have a new favorite sub shop in the US

I had a pretty good sandwich from here it wasnt anything wild or crazy just comfort food. I recommend.

Good sandwiches. Tasty shakes. Chill music. Good place for a lunch date. And with nicer weather approaching there is no reason not to.

This place is really just okay. Heres the summary:
Pros:
The pretzel bun is very good
Its a local business
The sandwich was not in any way bad.
Cons:
The meat is highly processed and very salty.
Aforementioned pretzel bun is an extra 75 cents for no good reason.
The «Soup» was abhorrent. I rarely am unable to eat something. but the «tomato bisque» was clearly made from a powder mix, and was more of an orange flour slurry than soup. And 3.50 a cup! Shamefully bad.
The service was extremely slow… and we were the only people with an order in at the time.
Overall… eh. This place is really proud to be local but I don’t really see anything above average about the place. Ok for a sandwich, just for the love of god don’t have the soup.

Best sub shop I’ve found in CO! Consistently delicious and the people are super nice. Everything from build your own to some specialty and all subs are toasted!

Tried this place for the first time today and it was delicious. In my opinion better than jimmy johns or jersey mikes. Will be back.

Great place to grab a pretzel bun sub before grabbing a drink at World of Beers or going ice skating. My girlfriend loves sandwiches and this place is her favorite shop to go to when we are in the Belmar area. One thing that isn’t awesome is the parking, but such is life for all shops in this area

It was ok, but to their credit the oven was broken, and the white bread is only cooked to 90% completion so it can cook the rest of the way in the oven. I had an Italian, and it was average, but I’m looking forward to trying it again when everything is working.

Love Stack, baby! They’re right around the corner from my office and I’m here at least once a week. Great sandwiches, killer shakes, and friendly people working behind the counter. I’ve had a number of their sandwiches but I usually find myself getting my old standby: 8″ Italian. Give them your business!

I’m so six of those chains chains churning out the same nothing tasting sandwiches that were supposed to eat because somehow it makes us healthier. This place while maybe a chain? Doesn’t have a feel of it. I had an awesome toasted sandwich and A perfect flavored tomato bisque and the friendliest service anyway! I’m coming back so should you!

Great sandwiches, Boulder chips, small menu — stick to what you do best, right? I’m all for that! Especially when you have the option of pretzel bread! There are also gluten free and vegetarian options there too. I’ll definitely be picking this place over Jimmy John’s next time!

I was in the area for work and wanted to try something besides the norm. After a quick Unilocal search I landed on this gem of a sandwich shop.
The shop has a yuppie vibe which I’m gonna say I like. The food was delectable and I honestly have to say best sub I’ve had in a long time.
The service was good and the food was better.
Come here for a quick bite on any day.

I had the ham & swiss sub. It was very tasty! I love sandwiches and I would definitely come back for theirs! My only critique is that the bread was kinda dry. The service was also very friendly!

We were at world of beer in the same area. They dont serve food but provide menus for restaurants around the area willing to deliver for free! We chose subs for cheap and easy. 22 bucks got us two 6 inch subs (plus add ons), chips, and a cup of soup and included the 20 percent tip! Our food was FAST and delicious! Stopped eating long enough just to Unilocal you, thats how great you are!

I had the Stack. Basically all the meat they had is folded and fitted in my sandwich. I chose lettuce and tomatoes and mayonnaise.
It was tasty. Although it was very wet. It wasn’t the tomatoes either. It was the lettuce that was chopped into a disappointing pile reminiscent of McDonalds. I doubt this sandwich will be good 15 minutes into if you don’t start devouring asap!
The place is clean. The staff fast and helpful. When in a rush this would be a perfect place to eat and run!

Really great lunch spot in Belmar. Came here for a quick lunch after church at Red Rocks Lakewood. I had the daily special, which was turkey, bacon, spicy mayo, and pesto on a pretzel bun, with jalapeños added.
Service was very friendly; the three young adults there were having fun and seemed to really enjoy serving folks. Bathroom was very clean as was the dining area. I definitely recommend Stack as an excellent choice for sandwiches in the Lakewood-​Belmar area.

I should start by saying I am a San Francisco native but consider Colorado home for over 16 years now. Having said that, I admit I am perhaps not the most impartial critic. My allegiance falls to a sandwich on a fresh sourdough roll with copious amounts of meat like I would find at Molinari and Sons or the likes. I am also not the biggest fan of toasted subs.
However, as far as toasted subs go, Stack is by far one of the better. I ordered the standard fare… a roast beef and a pastrami. I was a bit disappointed to see what I initially thought was just bags of standard white rolls… BUT, what may look ordinary is transformed by toasting into nice, crusty, chewy goodness! Nice selection of toppings to satisfy most everyone’s fancy. I would prefer more meat for the price but that’s the West Coast in me. Service was great. It seems inevitable that folks get the munchies at the most inopportune moment, and the two got slammed by about 10 – 12 people all at once just after 8pm.
Surprisingly, both my wife and I took half our sandwiches as lunch the next day, and they held up quite well. Overall, solid first impressions!

This sub shop is incredible. The people who work there are very nice. The use Eat24 which is very convenient.

Sometimes they don’t have all of their drinks they promise! No subs without IBC cherry limeade??? Unheard of.
Seriously though, this place always delivers good service and great subs. They don’t offer footlongs, but the size of their largest is still good enough for a decent adult to consume and feel satisfied. There’s also a lovely selection of toppings. It’s in Belmar so be ready to walk a bit or look forever for a parking spot close by, but it’s so worth it.

Great subs every time I come I wish the location was a bit easier to get too. Its just always crowded in this general location and I am not a crowd person. The food is great though and the subs are pieces of art.
They are pretty big sandwiches as they are full of plenty of meats and cheeses. The quality of the meats and cheeses are pretty top notch. I would recommend this place to anyone that is a sub guy/​girl.

This place is amazing! We were greeted as soon as we came in, explained the whole menu and extra prices and were warned when something was gonna cost more or wasn’t available.
The girl there (blue and purple hair, so nice!) apologized for any delay for being the only one there and even told us what would go good as toppings.
Our milkshakes got to us super fast and the food was DELICIOUS.
This is our new place to go!

I’ve been to Stack Subs several times recently because not only is my lady is insistent on going, but the subs are very tasty too!
It’s clear the owner cares about his customers because he responded here on Unilocal of taking better care with gluten free requests. Today we saw evidence of that action with employees pausing to make sure their gloves were new and not contaminated for making a GF sub. This got Stack 5 stars from me!
My only disappointment was being surprised chicken isn’t on the menu. I still greatly enjoyed the special turkey-​bacon sub, and recently my tuna melt on a pretzel roll was scrumptious. Having the cherry soda available is a fun treat, too!

I just moved here from Chicago and loved my visits to the first location when I was in town. Now that I live here now, the location is in a great area. I ordered my turkey with the pretzel bun and it was good as the first time in the other location years ago. My favorite sub shop and the staff was very friendly with a nice atmosphere. The owner really cares if you enjoy your sandwich as he came out from the counter to ask me. Kudos to an overall awesome experience!

What is the big deal about this place? I admit I was sucked in by the picture of the pretzel roll sandwich, looked like a Cuban press or Mexican Torta, but unfortunately it’s neither. Besides the Pretzel bun, nothing exceeds a Subway sub. I got the Meatball sandwich because it was that night’s special, getting it on a pretzel bun was a wrong idea. it’s not the best vehicle for a «wet» sandwich, and it looks significantly smaller. My boyfriend’s Stack Sub was OK, nothing to write home about.
We also shared a bag of chips, the New Orleans style is one of only 2 left on the shelf so I thought it must be really good. Well, that’s if you like exceptionally greasy potato chips! It’s unbelievable, the napkin we unloaded these chips on were soaked with oil in a short while. I’d say for the same style of chips, Boulder Canyon makes a much better one.
The staff sent off a «we’re so much better than Subway» type of feel, but you know what? It didn’t happen for me. I can’t categorize Stack Subs in the specialty group in my book. Sorry. I’d wanted it to be better…

Very good large Italian sub. Toasted and make exactly as I requested. I love giardiniera.

The location is good. Right next to the movie theater.
The bread is excellent.
The cold cuts (at least the turkey) are OK. Nothing special. Lots of toppings available.
The malted chocolate milk shake was delicious.
The prices are reasonable.
The staff is friendly.
The staff is very inefficient in their movements. The queue tends to back up. An experienced adult needs to take charge.
Wi-​Fi — «but not for you». I hate that.
