I just had the best experience at Pearle Vision. I wish I remembered the doctor’s name, but he was fantastic. My appt was at 5:30 and I didn’t have to wait. The doctor was really friendly and patient. He took his time to make sure the prescription was just right and gave me sample contacts to try out. Megan at the front desk was super sweet and I’ll be happy to visit them again!

I found this place because my mom bought me a Groupon. They’re still offering them, if anyone else is interested. Free eye exam plus $ 150 towards a full set of glasses.
The thing that was most pleasant about this experience was the doctor. He was genuine, kind, personable. He made the experience comfortable. I really liked him, and he was honest about what was going to be the best fit for me. He didn’t seem scammy, but like he was just trying to sell me something more expensive. My only critical feedback to him, is that his office could use a new paint job, and a little more aesthetic decoration. Really can’t say enough good about him!
They were able to schedule me for a same day appointment. The ladies who work in the front are very kind. Even after I took 40 minutes to choose a pair of glasses, and ended up sticking with the ones I already had.
Bummer is, they wouldn’t put the credit towards replacing the lenses in the glasses I already had, I had to be for a full new set. So I spent $ 200 just on replacing the lenses. Also, it was a little frustrating but it’s an extra $ 40 for a «contact exam», he asked me a couple questions and it was at less than five minute process added to the regular exam. They also wouldn’t put the $ 150 towards contacts (so that’s a separate purchase), Pearle vision is franchised, so seems like there would be some power to do that if they wanted to.
So, despite how satisfied I was with the doctor, based on the pricing difficulties and frustration, only three stars…

I have been coming to the particular Pearl Vision for about 15 years! Initially, I wasn’t really sure what to expect as I hadn’t had very good luck with vision places. Being naïve and not really knowing what I needed to do for my little girls, I walked in and talked to Jay… I shared my concerns and he was awesome! The Dr was pretty cool too, albeit a little quirky, but we love him all the same. The front office staff is awesome and we have become part of their family. I would highly recommend this place as they are very knowledgable and have an amazing selection of frames to fit any style!

While my mom was visiting me from the East Coast, her glasses broke and so we decided to do the whole thing i.e. Eye exam and eyeglasses. I went to Pearle Vision in Lakewood and the Eye Doctor was just awesome. He took a full 45 minutes for an eye exam as my mother is a lot older and has issues with cataracts and other stuff. It was a great experience. No eye doctor takes 45 minutes these days. 15 minutes tops. Move them in and move them out. And the young lady who waited on my mother helped her pick out the frame and was very professional and courteous and the glasses were ready before my mom can say «Where are my glasses?» We were greeted right away and the whole process was easy. I am a customer for life.
