My wife took in 4 pairs of pants for me last week and picked them up on Friday. Today on Monday as I was getting ready for work I pull a pair from my closet I noticed that the pair that I pulled out was missing both the button and clamp that are right above the zipper. Looked like they were pulled off as you can tell in the picture. I have had buttons fall off here and there which is to be expected and do not mind paying a few bucks to replace. It is something that expect and do not think twice about taking them in. However, this pair of pants went into National Cleaners with a button and clamp and I would expect them to come out clean and in the same shape that they went in. Initially it was no big deal, all the other cleaners that I have been too would recognize this as a simple and inexpensive mistake on their part and fix it. But this was my very first time at this cleaners bc it was closure to my home that I just moved into a couple months ago. I went this morning to tell them that the button and clamp were missing after I got the pants back, the lady simply said that«it was my fault and it happens because I wear the pants.» And yes she is right that it does happen and I can recognize that it could be from wear and tear, however if that was the case I would have told my wife to have them fix it. No problem, pay the few bucks, get it fixed and be done with it. But since nothing was wrong with the pants going in there was no need for them to be fixed. The lady simply said they are not responsible, even if they made the mistake. She kept telling me it was my fault, and I would have to pay to get them fixed even though it was their fault. I wont be returning, there could have been an easy resolution and if it was my fault I wouldnt mind paying a few bucks to correct it. But when they make a mistake would expect for them to correct it or at least work with me to correct it and not point the finger and get overly defensive.

National is my neighborhood cleaners and I’ve never been disappointed by their work. If you’re not happy with their work, find another place. My blouses and shirts are always as crisp as the day I pick them up, hang in my closet and wear them. I bring them in by the dozen and never once have I ever had to complain. When my daughter was in high school, this is where they had the band’s uniforms cleaned. When I pick up my cleaning, the racks in the back are full of other customers clothing. That tells me this place does a good job.

The woman at the front is the rudest and least helpful person imaginable. I have been here 3 times. The guy who wrote that the staff was friendly must be a relative or was paid to do so.

I thought I would try my local neighborhood cleaners, WOW I could not believe how terrible there work is… I had to iron my shirts before wearing them. I would NOT send my enemy to this location, seriously…

The female(I think the owner) has very poor customer service and people skills, two of the things needed to run a business and keep customers. She is very rude and never in a very friendly mood. I’m so happy we are moving and won’t be using them anymore

I love this place. Friendly staff and they always do great work. I come here for all my dry cleaning needs and I trust them with my most delicate clothing. I highly recommend this dry cleaner. I’ve been to others and this one is def the only one I’ll go to now.

I’ve been searching for a few months now for a new cleaners. I used one that was literally walking distance to my job but they were too expensive, like 2 or 3 times the price of anywhere else. I figure I’d give a National a shot since I drive by it about 4 or 5 times a week. Just got my clothes and so far it looks like a real good job. My Levi’s look great. Weekends they clothes early and that is a bit of a downer byt they finished fast and chances are, i won’t have to pick up or dropp off on weekend. Excellent parking.

Good neighborhood cleaners. Nothing fancy. I have never had an issue with any of my clothes being returned with damage and not cleaned or have any missing/broken buttons. It has been around for what seems like forever and I will continue to frequent it when needed.

So, this has happened with a couple of reviews that I have written but whenever I write a good review, a great review, for businesses, the next time I visit, everything takes a 180 turn. My boyfriend had started to complain a couple months back that whenever he took his clothes into Nationals, it would come back with not just a FEW but SEVERAL broken buttons off of his dress shirts and dress pants. I have seen the broken buttons myself and yeah, strange. Nationals was the only place that he had taken certain items to(those pieces being new to his closet) and came back broken. Now, today, I went into pick up a cashmere dress that I had left with them about a week and a half ago. I wore it to a dinner and just as the same with any other cashmere I own, I took it into the dry cleaners the very next day. I never want to risk having dirty cashmere and moths and holes. I went to pick up and pay for it today. I paid, took the piece to my car and as I am hanging it in the back, I notice a QUARTERSIZEDHOLE in the front of my dress. WTF. WTF. I take it back in and I show and tell her what I found on my dress. She says, nonchalantly, that when I brought it into her, the hole was already there. My question is, you see that BIGHOLE and you choose NOT to tell me about it(you have my number!) and choose to continue cleaning it? And risk the whole getting even bigger?! Honestly, I know my closet pretty well and take care of my clothes. I would NEVER have had a hole as such on a pretty expensive dress and not notice it, nor would I try and blame it on the cleaners! She pretty much laughed me off. I asked if there was anything that they could do for me. The dress alone cost between $ 300-$ 400. She said no. Again, my issue here, aside from damaged clothing, is that when you see a dress damaged that someone brings in, why would you go on cleaning it without consulting the customer? Don’t most people point out issues with a garment before they take it in? I always like to point out certain stains and what not. I am going to try and resolve this through the store somehow. If not, small claims court? It is just a lot of money to brush off. BEWARNED!
