Color By Numbers

I have been a huge fan of Color by Numbers salon since 2007, when I was recommended by a friend from high school. The owner, Natalie (who also cuts and colors my hair) is just plain awesome. She is very friendly, easy to chat with, and does an amazing job, every single time I have walked out of the salon, I feel elated with my new style. In particular, she is a great colorist and does the most incredible job with blonde. And did I mention the scalp massage during the shampoo? I’ve also gone back for a wedding updo and was thrilled because most places will give you the dreaded «prom hair.» I walked out with a chic, messy side bun and to this day, it is one of my favorite looks I’ve ever had.
Other little details that make going to Color by Numbers a great experience? They will offer you tea, coffee, bottled water, etc., updated magazines on the coffee table, an array of Bumble & Bumble products for sale, comfy couches to lounge on while you are waiting for your color to set, and great ambient music. The pricing is also pretty reasonable, in my opinion. For a partial highlight, cut and style, I usually pay about $ 100-​$ 110, and this has only gone up maybe $ 5 or $ 10 in the last eight years.

I have been here twice since October 2014. I was referred to Color by Numbers by a co-​worker. I recently moved to Lakewood over the summer and did not want to continue to drive back to Columbus to get my hair done, esp once the weather gets cold and nasty. I have seen Jessica twice and she is amazing! I am extremely picky and cautious of going to a new hair stylist. As I have had bad experiences in the past that have scared me for life! haha I have booked Jessica to do my hair for my upcoming wedding instead of paying to bring to bring my Columbus girl up… so that should tell you the level of service she has and can do. I would recommend Jessica to anyone!

I have never had an allegiance to hair salon until this one. Amanda cuts my hair and she is EXCELLENT. Everyone is friendly and nice — I also like the products they use.

I love this salon. I’ve been getting color, highlights, and haircuts from Natalie for years. I always leave happy with the best color. Everyone in the salon is friendly and professional. The salon is clean, bright, and modern. I recommend Color by Numbers to everyone I can because the stylists do great work and prices are reasonable.

I have been coming here the stylist Brandy for over 5 years. Brandy and her sister own the salon and do a fabulous job operating it. The place is clean and modern. I usually get a cut and color of some sort– and Brandy does a good job of keeping my look up to date. They use good products, don’t push you to purchase a bunch of product, and don’t overcharge you. I love how this place isn’t all hyper and expensive like the major salons but they still deliver major quality. I will be back!!!

Got shaggy bangs? Brassy highlights? Split ends? Get thee to Color by Numbers. I love this place. I can’t tell you how many bad haircuts I’ve gotten in my life. I started going to Color by Numbers about a year ago, and I couldn’t be happier with my hair since then. Kathy has helped me grow out my hair while keeping it, in a word (or two), awesome looking. She has done everything from heavy bangs to long layers for me, and I’ve loved it all.

I’ve been going here for over a year and this place is super. I drive all they way from Parma every six to eight weeks to see Natalie for cut and color. It took us a few tries to get the color exactly right for my wedding (i’m particular), but she was patient and thorough. I recently was looking for a couple of hair changes (bangs, short. shorter!) and she coached me through them. When they wash your hair, they also provide a scalp massage and this is the best part of my day.
The staff are professional and friendly. I love the atmosphere. It’s open and modern but also comfortable.
On my last visit, a bride was getting her hair and make up done. She looked amazing.
