a recent reviews of the gambling would be helpful. I don’t get who would go all the way there just to eat…

The buffet is good. Lines are always long on the weekend. If you play a lot the buffet can be free. They have a variety of food station.

Came with my parents, yay for buffets, especially this one. This buffet is consistently good. My mom is a frequent gambler here so I’ve been a lot over the years. Thank you Barona, for keeping up an excellent quality buffet. You’re doing it right! I didn’t eat any crab legs or oysters, that’s usually what I go for when I come here. I stayed to mostly protein and veggies. Yes, some of that protein was fried, can’t get away from that in a buffet. My fave things at this buffet are the crab legs, oysters, whatever white fish they have, coconut shrimp, green beans, fried catfish nuggets, fried tilapia in the Mexican area for self serve tacos, the ribs in the American area, the Chinese ribs if they have them in the Asian area, fried rice in Asian area, the cheese crepes, bananas foster in desserts, and the Mexican wedding cookies in desserts. Man oh man, you need to try the crack Mexican wedding cookies in the dessert area. They make them perfectly here, perfect shortbread flavor with the nuts in it. I have been known to sneak some in a disposable napkin and shove them in my purse for later. If I remembered to bring a ziploc, I would have had more to go cookies: D

I’ve been here so many times but maybe it was a busy day. We waited about an hour and 15 minutes which is pretty normal in busy days, especially a holiday. Our service was awful. The waitress could not remember my husband’s drink order. The food was pretty cold. I have been coming here for years and this is the first time I have had any issues. The crabs were very good. Maybe, I will have to come another day. Normally, this buffet is a 5 star! Make sure to sign up for a club card and you can get a discount for yourself and up to 1 more person.

As far as buffet goes, this is better than the ones you find in the city like Hometown Buffet, Golden Corral, Sunrise Buffet, Savory Buffet, etc… And as far as price goes, it’s the best bang for the buck for sure at a dinner buffet. I have no idea how the lines are ridiculously long and the wait times are so ludicrous. There are a few lines to wait in as far as priority goes Diamond(far far right of Platinum and not labeled), Platinum(far right), Gold(middle), Classic(far left). If you have any of these cards, wait in these line. For all others, there’s a booth handing out pagers to wait in line to pay. Wait times again are ridiculous. Every time I come here there’s always empty tables in various sections without people, while people are outside waiting X hours to be seated. Maybe it’s a ploy to reduce traffic flow for everyone inside the buffet. Who knows… As far as the food goes, everything here was exceptional to good. Nothing really stood out as spectacular or a must-have. Seafood ranges from smoked fish, raw oysters, cold crab legs, and other sorts. There’s a variety of stations all around and some blend in such as the Mexican Tamale station and the Dim Sum station. Overall it was good. Our server/busser was on it! We got drinks, refills, and a clean table super fast.

This casino buffet features good eats from all over. They had a Mongolian grill section, barbecue food, Chinese dim sum, seafood(I was so full by the time I could even make it to the seafood section), Mexican food, yummy finger food(different kinds of expensive cheese! I love the fact that they had Gouda!) They had a wide range of desserts! My favorite was the crêpe section where they had a chef at the station and made the fresh crepes to your needs(either sweet or savory). The ice cream section also had a chef who served banana fosters! So scrumptious! I’m writing this a day after going to the buffet and honestly I’m still oh so full! Definitely worth the money! This place gets really packed and the lines are super long so try to arrive early! My dad had a green membership card so this time around there was no wait(thank goodness). I was advised that if you had a Barona players card you receive a certain percentage for your meal and a special guest which is pretty cool! The membership was free to sign up for which leaves more money to tip the waitress! I regret not taking down the ladies name but she was an older Caucasian lady working the middle section, she was super nice and even asked someone to take a photo of my family for us(since my mom is the queen of taking photos when she’s with family). I will definitely be back here with my family!

I don’t even know where to start. Best buffet in the SD area. The line to go eat is hella crazy. You prob wait for like 30 minute plus. I’m serious. The food here tho. A1 They got different bars, etc. Mexican bar or crêpe bar or a own crab bar. Crab bar is a small stand with just crab legs. They are cold but you can take it over to the seafood bar and tell the cook to steam the crab legs for you. There a guy with long blonde hair at crêpe bar. He is good. He can make that crêpe for you from scratch under 20 seconds. I’m serious. The price is kinda of pricey but than again sodas are included. And if you gamble here and have a card, you get discount. Yeah!

Came here to eat during the time we were visiting the casino. The selection of food was great and the lines were short when we went. They had a great selection of different variety of food. The only issue we had was our waitress took a long time to check up on us. She would check up, once every 30 to 40 minutes. We could not even find her when we needed something.

First Impressions: It was a long drive out to the casino, but once you get there, it is a cool place. The restaurant is tucked into the back of the casino. We came here to celebrate a friend getting a new job. When we arrived the line was only a few people deep, but when we left it was really busy. This buffet is quite large, so if you are looking for variety this is your stop. The Service: The servers were nice, but I felt like I had to flag them down. It was a busy night, but I think it would have been nice if there were more servers on staff. It only got busier as we ate, so I can only imagine how service progressed. But again, the servers were nice and did everything we asked… but we did have to ask The Food: Variety is there for sure. I am allergic to shellfish, so I wasn’t able to take advantage of what seems to be the main attraction. If you like crab legs, this would be a fantastic place for you to go. As for the rest of the food, some of it was really good. But a lot of it tastes like it just popped out of the Stouffer’s kitchen. It is over all pretty bland and is greasier than I would like. The best description of the food is it is very mid-western. Even the prime rib was really bland. The cheeses available and the desserts were my favorite. I really enjoyed them. Overall: I would go again if someone really wanted to go. But I wouldn’t make a point to go back. I was disappointed with the experience over all but it wasn’t cringe worthy.

A serious 3 ½ stars! I’m used to buffets being that I’m from Las Vegas, I’ve seen them all from the glitzy to the downright nasty. Seasons Fresh Buffet in Barona gives some of these places a good run for the money! Not half bad, especially for an Indian casino! The family & I ended up going to Seasons because we were in San Diego for our twin newphews’ birthday. No one wanted to cook so off to the casino we went! Just getting to Barona is a small trek, twisty windy backroads in the mountains… but when you see Barona on the horizon, it’s like daybreak! Like in the middle of nowhere California! Barona is seriously a nice casino, classy even! But man, our mistake was coming on Labor Day weekend, the place was totally packed with Asians & Indians alike! There was literally no slot machines or tables open, all full! It was crazy! It’s like the only casino in this part of town! Actually it probably is. With that, our second mistake was the Seasons Buffet itself. Packed to the brim as well! It was a near 2HOUR wait for us just to get called into the line, then another 30 minutes for getting to the front cashier. Another bad on this holiday weekend? The higher price! It was $ 34.95 each person for dinner but promised some extra food goodies! Whew! Still though it’s cheaper than the Bellagio or Wynn’s buffets. Thankfully, with the wifey & I signing up for Barona’s casino club we were able to save a few bucks per person. Use that money for the slots! Upon finally being seated with our large party, it was off to the races! Seasons has a lot of food stations to partake from with no shortage of food. Where to start? OK, everywhere! I of course had a little bit of everything, and Seasons was willing to please. I partook in everything from steak tips, cut snow crab legs, mahi mahi, lasagna, antipasto, prime rib, BBQ ribs, sushi, lumpia, lengua tacos, kim chee, oxtail, even fresh figs! Wow! Highlight for me was the dim sum cart! Not bad options at all! *Shrimp dumplings *BBQ pork bao *Pork dumplings *Pot stickers *Chicken feet(yes, even chicken feet!) Another nice surprise was the crêpe station! Fancy! Both savory and sweet crepes offered! I ended up with the crêpe of the day which was a dulce de leche covered in cinnamon sugar. Guy at the crêpe station did it right! Crêpe not too thick, cooked just right, good flavor even though it was a bit too sweet for me. Overall the food offerings were pretty tasty. Some items were off being totally fresh, and specialty items like sushi don’t compare to actual Japanese joints(even though Seasons did on OK job). The chicken feet were surprisingly more than decent, simmered long enough to become sticky & gelatinous just like good chicken feet should be. The crab legs were average, just like most buffets you’d find in Vegas. But the taco station did a great job with their street tacos. Meats like the carne asada and lengua were flavorful and very tender. They were some of my favorite eats of the night! I was somewhat impressed by Seasons salad area, they had some good stuff along with lots of fresh cuts of a variety of cheeses you wouldn’t find on a typical buffet. The dessert bar wasn’t bad either, who doesn’t like a fresh batch of Bananas Foster with some vanilla ice cream? The apple pie wasn’t too shabby as well. We ate like kings and left stuffed to the brim. It was a great way to have a birthday party! Unfortunately we had a number of kiddies with us so we couldn’t stay at Barona and gamble our food coma away. Maybe next time! Perhaps we’ll make this buffet more than ‘seasonal’ eh?

I don’t know what else to say about this buffet this hasn’t already been said. I’ve only been twice now and it’s amazing! And you can’t beat the price considering what you get. I plan on going more so I can try all the items since some of the items do seem to change. But I love everything… the prime rib, turkey, crab legs, crepes, desserts, Mongolian BBQ, Chinese food, etc., etc. I really wish this casino was closer to me, or at least closer to the freeway so we don’t have to drive that godforsaken mountain road to get there, especially at night where you can’t freakin’ see!!! But the biggest complaint I have about this buffet is the ridiculous long lines sometimes and how the geniuses of this place chooses to run things. I kid you not, but when we went, there must have been about 50 people in line, and there was just ONE freakin’ cashier! Are you kidding me!!! Well no wonder the lines are long!!! So don’t let the long lines deceive you because there seems to be a reason why the lines are long

It’s not a Vegas buffet but it’s ok for a casino buffet in San Diego. I prefer other buffets but this was ok when I came here for a birthday, and some of the older adults had discounts with their Barona card. Some of the carts that were out when the buffet opened(crepes, breakfast cart, others) quickly ran out of food to serve so I wasn’t able to taste what I wanted on the day I was here. However they have an expansive size dessert area, which I love(because I have a sweet tooth) and TWO chocolate fountains(one is white chocolate and the other is chocolate)!! Yassss! They serve up special proteins each day of the week and the lamb-crusted rack of pork happened to be the day I was there. I didn’t get any but was told by the meat eaters in our group that it was delicious. The sushi area and dim sum cart had a lot of variety which is a plus as a lot of buffets usually have a scant variety to choose from. I probably won’t be back because it is so far from my house, and other casino buffets are closer, but you can try it out for yourself if you want to.

I’ve been going here for about 10 years now, so I’ve seen a lot change over the years I’ve been eating at this buffet. My review will be based on the experience that I had tonight and NOT on how it was all the other days I had come here. As much as I want to give it 4 stars I can’t and you’ll understand why once you read down below. However, let me start off by saying that I’ve always had a nice waiter/waitress that comes by to give out the drinks and remove the dirty plates that are on the table when I finish my food. I’ve never experienced any rude employees here and I hope by me saying that I’m not jinxing myself because I’ve always been treated very kindly at this buffet. Sometimes they would switch off with different people and other times I would have the same person coming by to check up on me if I needed anything. So my tips mostly depend on how often they check on me to see if I need any extra napkins or a refill and if they remove the finished plates off the table and it also depends on if I have the same waiter/waitress throughout time I’m eating here. The food tonight was okay not the greatest but not the worst and I’ve noticed that there were more food stands, so it gave me more options to choose from rather than just choosing food at the different food stations. I took a few photos of the food that I ate even though I ate more than what I photographed and I’ll start off by talking about the sushi which is in the salad station which is located all the way down in the buffet. I don’t have high expectations for the taste or presentation of it so I expect others not to have high expectations either because the looks and taste are average, and it’s nothing to go crazy about. The next food I chose to get was in the American station and I ALWAYS get the the little mini steak and this time I tried out the onion rings. Both were not so good tonight simply because the steak was way too rare for my liking and usually they don’t serve it as rare as they did tonight and the onion rings were a bit on the greasier side so the outside coating of the ring wasn’t something I would want to go back for. Next were these little delicate soft donut balls with custard filling and seriously these are what I love to get on the side of any plate. They aren’t too sweet and the the texture of the donut as well as how delicious the custard is I honestly recommend to anyone. The oysters at the seafood station located next to the entrance were just not fresh tonight I could tell by the look, texture and the way it smelled that it’s been there for quite awhile, but since I was craving it I went along and got a few on my plate. They have served better so I don’t have much to really say except for I made sure to drench it in a lot of lemon and hot sauce. For dessert I got the crème brûlée, strawberry sauce, and this little fruit tart. The strawberry sauce is meant to be placed on top of different desserts but I ask the chef if I could get a bowl to scoop my own serving without it being placed on any of my desserts because honestly I like to eat it by itself. The cream brûlée tonight was so good and the tart was just as good too. So dessert is always a must for me. My whole experience tonight here was enjoyable because I got to hang out with my sister and the atmosphere was good and the food filled me up even though it wasn’t as great as it was on other days, but I will be coming by here again and seeing how everything is like for my next visit and I hope other people that have not yet been here take the time out there day or come at night and try this place out.

I am a fan of this buffet and the only buffet I like!!! Reasons why because if you have any allergies or concerns you can talk to the chef. In my case my son is allergic to dairy and shellfish. So since they cook a lot of shrimp. They clean it all up for you and use different spatulas… I love that!!! And is not like if they have a big attitude about it or anything. They really do go out of their way and they are very understanding. Seriously these cooks are very nice!!! That’s for the Mongolian station. #2 if you are a fan of crabs wow you will be in Disneyland lol!!! They have a lot of crabs all you can eat. Everything is super clean there and In order. Even the crabs are already pre cut for you so you won’t have any issues not being able to crack them!!! I love it!!! They used to not have them like that and I’m glad they changed it!!! So they have Chinese. American. Mongolian. Mexican. Carved meat and pasta. And seafood. Salad and soup different options. They even put a new stand of phở soup and there is hardly ever any line. Make it on site in front of you how great is that!!! The dessert part omg!!! 4 different ice cream options cakes, flans, cookies. Chocolate fountain! Variety you wont be dissapoited The only thing that is truly missing in my book would be at least one vegan option for those with dairy allergy!!! Or even for those to gluten allergy!!! Since they only have one option of cookies!!!

You don’t even need to like gambling in order to visit Barona Casino. Just this buffet alone is more than enough. There is a reason lots of people come here and use birthdays, graduations, holidays and«just because» to eat here. There’s multiple lines for a reason here because it is that good. Food from around the world(food court style), huge dessert bar, sushi/salad bar, dim sum cart, fresh crepes cart, and maybe the biggest crab leg and seafood cart in San Diego. There’s something for everyone here. There are no excuses to not try this buffet. Enough said.

I used to come here a lot… and it’s always been awesome. I haven’t been in a while and it was terrible. I’m not a picky eater, and I can’t name 1 item that was good. When I eat here, I get the same thing every time. I get dozens and dozens of oysters. The oysters were slimy and disgusting. I was scared to eat them. Then I eat plates of prime rib, steamed rice, and Mac and cheese. The prime rib was over cooked. Make and cheese was tired. I did come closer to closing… but I expect fresh food all day especially if I’m paying the same price all day. My experience was so bad I probably won’t come back. It felt like a huge waste of money. A waste of a drive.

Came to Barona to have dinner at Cucina Italian, but since they are closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, ended up going to the buffet. What I do love is seafood, so I was definitely excited for the crab. I liked that they did have opened crab legs. I would have opted for these since they’re less messy, but I like my crab legs boiled more. So I ended up getting the crab legs boiled. I like the option of having the crab legs cooked more, as I prefer it warm versus chilled. This was probably the best part for me. They do have oysters too, but I will say that I do not trust raw food from most buffets as I have gotten sick before. I prefer prime rib to be cooked medium to pretty much medium well, so when I got prime rib I asked for a cut cooked to medium/medium well. The guy cut a piece and put it on my plate as he said medium rare. That piece was just wasted as I did not eat it. The rest of the food was ok. I sampled a few selections, but nothing stood out as worth getting more of. I also have quite a sweet tooth, so I always save room for dessert. They had little tiramisu type desserts in a cup. These were 70% cream and a lil bit of cake. I found myself digging for cake as the cream alone was pretty sweet. The almond cookie wasn’t bad, pretty similar to wedding cookies. Price was about $ 21. Overall it was your average buffet. Food wasn’t bad. For me though, If it weren’t for the crab legs I probably would not be back.

Favorite buffet! The drive may be far and a little difficult from all the curvy lanes, but it’s so worth it! I even think it’s better than any vegas buffets especially because the price is a lot more affordable at barona. This buffet is affordable for high quality food. We went on a Thursday night and there was a line. It wasn’t too bad; the line went by quickly. We got seated within 10 minutes or so. It may get very crowded during the weekends though that will cause over an hour wait. The first thing I always go for is the Mongolian! Omg, it’s mouth watering good! There is a wide selection of other food but I always limit myself to certain ones. I love how they have food of every culture! I think it’s a new thing that they added another seafood area in the middle just for crab legs and crawfish. They put it on ice so that when you eat it, it’s fresh and cold! I could eat 3 plates of crab and not get full! Service was awesome. Our server cleaned our tables very quickly as we went up to get a new plate. She always catered to our every need(fill up drinks, provide napkins, asked us what else we needed, etc).

It’s a buffet so of course it’s not the greatest food, but for a buffet this place is amazing! It’s separated into various stations including Asian, Mexican, Seafood, Mongolian BBQ, American, Salad and Soup Bar, and Desserts. There are a few dishes here that are the best in their classes here in San Diego: the lengua with handmade tortillas and the menudo served on Sundays. That menudo is the best I’ve ever had with big pieces of tripe, plentiful hominy, and what really tops it off, dry Mexican oregano! I would go here just to get those two items! The menu slowly changes over the months. Years ago they used to have the best handmade vegetable fried egg rolls, which have since been replaced with frozen ones. Their golden skins were delicately fried, and the rolls were stuffed with freshly grated cabbage and carrots — none of that gross, mushy filler stuff you see in the frozen ones. These egg rolls were better than ones from a Chinese restaurant. Can you guys at Barona bring them back please? Other honorable mentions include the Mongolian BBQ, prime rib, made to order crepes, multiple ice cream flavors, bananas foster, and chocolate covered strawberries. And I know not everyone loves salad, but it’s pretty great with various cheeses and other accoutrements, such as the candied walnut medley. There is also a dim sum cart, which isn’t very good, but it’s just cool to me that they even offer shrimp har gow and pork shumai. Most popular are the oysters, sushi, and crab legs, but they’re pretty cheap — snow crab legs? You will see people engorging on all of those here, but I prefer to get something here that is actually good(I’ll eat dungeness crab legs, thank you.). This buffet also has some of the cutest seasonal displays around holidays including detailed gingerbread houses and a giant swan statue carved from ice. Overall, the décor is very modest. There is nothing glitzy about this place. Tip: Get a casino card for free before you enter and you get a discount well worth the two minutes to sign up.

This buffet is the best in the area… it doesn’t get any better than this! I’ve been here several times over the years, and I’m always happy and in a food coma when I leave :-) The dining area is always clean, and the service is usually very good. On weekends and holidays you have to be a little patient for the service, as it gets very busy and crowded… but, hey, don’t most places that are good and in demand get that way during that time? Be prepared to stand and wait in line if you come during those times. I came late afternoon, during the week, and there was no wait. There is a huge selection of different foods to choose from. There are about 7 food stations… Chinese, Mongolian(where you can pick your ingredients to make a freshly made stir fried noodle dish), Mexican, Rotisserie(with a carving station of Prime Rib and turkey breast), Seafood(all the crab legs and shrimp you can eat), Soup and Salad(have sushi at this station too) and Desserts!!! This last time I went was a Thursday and they had duck leg with apricot and raison sauce. I want to go back on a Wednesday when they have slipper lobster tails as the specialty. I always get the Prime Rib here, as it is roasted just the way I like it. It is perfectly cooked, medium rare, well seasoned, and so tender and juicy. They have Au Jus and horseradish sauce if you want to add that to it. If you want it more medium or well done, they will slice you one that way, or cook it up the way you like it. The seafood station has crab legs and you can eat them cold, or they will steam them for you if you want them hot. There is plenty of melted hot butter, or cocktail sauce too. I also got the coconut shrimp, that was served with a spicy marmalade sauce… it was so yummy! There is also a Dim Sum station, however, I was not impressed with the items I chose. The salad bar has plenty of veggies to choose from, and all very fresh and crispy. They also have an assortment of ready made salads(macaroni, rice, Caesar salad, etc). This place also has a crêpe station, but, unfortunately, was not going to be opened until later that day. However, I have had them here before, and they make savory or sweet crepes, and they are worth going back for more. The dessert station is huge, and by this time, I didn’t have much room left, however, I did manage to get a few things down. The bread pudding here is hot and moist and delicious. I love the vanilla sauce, and bananas foster sauce to put on it. There is also a chocolate fountain with fresh fruit to dip in. There are so many cookies to choose from(I like the almond cookies), and the cream brulee was rich and creamy. They have a nice assortment of ice cream and toppings as well as cakes and pies. The price is right for all that you get to eat and the place is perfect for groups of people as well… I will be back again!
