Sorrento Pizzeria & Restaurant

I tried the cheese pizza and garlic knots and the reviews are pretty much right lol this place is delicious! I can’t believe I used to go to Marco’s. The guy that helped me was so nice and the restaurant was really clean, I had a pretty enjoyable experience all around. I will be back :)

Excellent pizza and owned by an awesome family. Stop in for a slice or bring the whole family and stay a while.

Pretty good NJ/​NY style pizza. I haven’t tried the drive-​thru but when im itching for a slice, this is where I go. Mini calzones are good and everything seems to be made fresh!

I am not a fan of NY style pizza. I personally find most NY pizza places to be over hyped like everything else that is of NY.
There are a couple pizza places in Lakeland worth eating at. On the north side of town there are a few but Sorrento’s beats out Palace and Romeo’s. The only reason this isn’t a much more popular pizza place is because it doesn’t offer delivery and it is tucked out of the way on Duff Rd.

I’m from St. Pete, but made a new friend in in the Kathleen/​North Lakeland area of FL.
We spent a fun Saturday together, got hungry, and were looking for a non-​chain place to get a take-​out pizza.
So we found Sorrento’s by mistake, and wow, what a happy surprise!
Family-​owned, the Dad, Mom, and son were staffing the store. They were extremely friendly and got hot pizza into our hands as fast as possible.
I’m a real pizza snob and not easy to please.
As for Sorrento’s pizza? It’s true NY style: firm, but foldable crust, tasty marinara, great cheese, and not skimpy on toppings. Their pepperoni may be one of the best I’ve ever enjoyed!
My friend declared it was the best pizza in their area! (Also, we found out this particular pizza joint is the popular one that used to be located in the nearby Mall, if that helps any. They did not go away, they just moved here!).
If I lived in this area, I’d likely give this joint a full 5 stars. Being from St. Pete, I have a place I like just a little bit better.
But if you are in the Kathleen/​North Lakeland area of FL, please give this place a try!

Sort of bland and not that impressed with the service. Older guy running it is loud and annoying. I prefer driving a little farther to the Italian place on 98 by walmart. The food is so much better and the service as well.

Been coming here for years. It’s one of my family’s favorite spots. Great pizza, great quality and great prices. Love it.
