This Vietnamese resturant consistently makes some of the best Asian cuisine in Lakeland. I am a big fan of their curries. The red curry is a staple item here and is offered daily. I have also ordered the green and yellow curries, but unlike the red curry they are not always available. Every item that I have tried is well portioned and smartly seasoned. I never leave hungry. I usually eat here during lunch hour. Depending on the day of the week it can be very loud and busy. Service here is hit or miss but is usually very good. Food prices are fair but drinks are a bit expensive($ 4.50 for Vietnamese coffee). The consistently great food and high quality ingredients are the main reasons for the five star review.

I love this restaurant. The chicken pad tai is great. Add the red and brown sauce to it and it is awesome!!! The spring rolls and peanut sauce are also excellent. Causal atmosphere.

Traveling from New York on business I was staying in an area that only had fast food or old ‘bbq/fried food’ places… I enjoy fresh and healthy food like fresh kitchen for those of you familiar to the Florida areas. After searching winter haven and Lakeland(I was staying at a hotel in Bartow) I decided to head to Lakeland to Saigon. Food was prepared in a timely fashion and was was good. All plates were fresh and I was pleased with the pricing and quality for the type of establishment. I rate based on cleanliness, food quality, service and overall impression. I give many famous restaurants four stars as well as small chains or privately owned places… This rating is based on a the type of restaurant and I would highly recommend.

Will have to come back to sample the other fare. Everything was fresh and delicious. Wait time was negligible, especially considering how packed it’s charming dining are was at 1pm on a Tuesday.

Nice simple place to get some Phở… nothing spectacular, but a good spot to get some good Vietnamese food while shopping in Lakeland.

Very good Phở. The place is limited on seating but worth the wait. We also had Vietnamese rolls that were very good.

This is a small, but decent restaurant. There is a TV in the wall that scrolls through menu options, so that is helpful. We had a party of 9 and we were seated immediately with no problem. I ordered the Vietnamese hot coffee to start for $ 4.50. It came out looking like a time machine, but it was still filtering through with a contraption on the top of the cup that was to be removed after it was finished. A cup of condensed milk came with it. The coffee was the thickest and sweetest coffee I have ever had. I will have to see the dentist for a cleaning after this review. I ordered the lunch special for $ 10.95. It was the spicey beef noodle soup. It consisted of noodles and a variety of meats in it with a broth. I am one that enjoys spice, but it seemed like it was absent in the bowl. It was a good portion, but no spice. The meats were delicious with the noodle combination. The service was great and was a good atmosphere.

Great quick service, even for a party of 9. Delicious chicken teriyaki. Crispy spring rolls are good, $ 4.50 for 2. Lettuce wraps at $ 8.95 were mediocre and overpriced. The banh mi at $ 6.95(chicken or BBQ pork) was good but not fulfilling, and not as good as Black & Brew’s(downtown Lakeland). Overall, a nice date restaurant half a block from the Cobb Theatre. I’ll be back! Well, I went back. Freakin’ good yellow curry.

On Our last evening with my host family in Florida, we went to this Vietnamese restaurant to have dinner. They loved it so we picked it and it was a good choice because the food was very tasty I ordered beef with broccoli, onions and some other veggies in it. The side was white rice. I ordered it spicy but well — it was not that spicy overall. The taste was very good, but the meet a bit too chewy, unfortunately. But still okay! As appetizer we had small, deep fried spring rolls, veggies and pork. The veggie ones were better but both pretty decent. All the others were pretty satisfied with their dish as well! The location is nice with big screens were wise/religious sayings as well as some examples of their dishes are showcased. The service was excellent! A very nice waiter who took his job very seriously and needs to be mentioned here, as he was fantastic! Thanx for making it possible to spend such a nice evening! Can recommend the place!

Busy and loud inside restaurant but outside was quiet and pleasant. Ordered the spring rolls, red curry chicken and a Kirin. Curry showed up first, followed by the beer and spring rolls. Spring rolls were deep fried and had a chemical taste(for future reference the summer rolls are the fresh un-fried version. Curry and beer were great.

I’ve yet to order a bad meal here. The chicken lettuce wraps are amazing. I found out from a friend that they will substitute any protein and sauce combo for the lettuce wraps if you are trying to stay lo-carb and avoid rice or noodles. The Phở is really good, although hard to eat for me. but I just have issues with chopsticks. Spring rolls are good. The sauces on the table are great to add heat or sweetness. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu.

There is a special place in my heart for any restaurant that serves me exactly what I was hoping for on a night when I worked hard and I’m hungry and tired. The vermicelli was great, the service was sweet and the iced coffee was delicious. So when the bill arrived I was more than happy to pay it.

Never tried Vietnamese and walked past this place a dozen times. Finally decided to try it and was not disappointed. I’ve tried the Bun bo hue, chicken teriyaki, and the red curry now. All 3 were really tasty and worth the price. I love real sit down Asian restraurants that make food with care, and this place delivers. I will definitely be back many times.

Delicious food but it is 82* in here. I don’t want to sweat through a $ 40 lunch at a «fine dining» bistro. Headed home to shower.

A delightful lakeland treasure! Saigon Bistro was a wonderful find in the middle of Lakeland! Among tons of restaurants at the Lakeland Town Center, this one is subtle and does not scream for your attention as you pass by it on the sidewalk. But if you are fortunate enough to notice and plan to eat there, you will be quite pleased. The décor and environment is warm and welcoming. The colors are warm and the design sleek and modern so you don’t quite feel like you are in Saigon, but you feel like you being welcomed nonetheless! The wait staff was for the most part friendly but we, unaware of course, entered right before they closed and you could definitely feel that some of the staff was not too pleased! We ordered chicken fried rice and the seafood Phở bowl! Both were absolutely delicious! The fried rice had a wonderful texture and wonderful flavors and there was certainly plenty to go around! The Phở was also equally delicious, but the amount of seafood was a bit disappointing. Only 3 meatballs, 3 pieces of shrimp and maybe 2 pieces of squid. So it was $ 11 dollars for mostly broth and noodles. But the flavors were outstanding! As I said previously this was great food and if you are looking for some phenomenal asian food that wont break the bank, this is the place for you!

I cannot say anything negative about this place. I took my boo here on his lunch break for his birthday. He only had 45 minutes, so I called ahead to order to ensure that we had ample time to savor the food. While initially hesitant and confused, the person on the line eventually understood that I didn’t want take-out – I wanted to pre-order and sit down and eat everything. Well we got there at the scheduled time and everything had just come out! We got two noodle salad bowls, the summer rolls and each had ordered a bubble tea. The noodle salads were perfectly portioned for one very hungry person or 1.5 normally hungry people. Lots of noodles, but also tons of tangy sweet barbecue pork in mine and chicken in the boyfriend’s. Summer rolls were pretty standard – tender with amazing peanut sauce that we may or may not have added to our noodle bowls at some point after polishing off the rolls. The bubble tea was also top-notch. They have a pneumatic sealer, which I love just because, and the flavor of the tea was great. I got a fresh coconut milk tea slush and he got a thai tea – both with boba. We scarfed them down with the rest of this scrumptious meal! Located in the mall in South Lakeland right down from the theater. Definitely a surprise finding this good of a place in this area!

This place is great. It’s family owned and delicious. My family is from Vietnam so of course we were in there during their first week. We met most of the family, and were/have always been greeted with very friendly service. The food is great, and the Boba is amazing. The only drawback is the small dining area. Since it’s so popular the dining room fills quickly and it can feel pretty crowded. A small setback to an otherwise great restaurant.

So far every single dish I tried(i.e. Phở, banh xeo = Vietnamese crêpe, summer/spring rolls, avocado smoothie, etc.) is exceptional. Love them all. Services were great. I have been eating here at every lunch & dinner for the past five days during my business trip. Shouldn’t you give it a try, my friends if you live in Lakeland, FL?

I was sitting in the Abuelos parking lot, thinking ‘there has to be something else!’. Enter Unilocal Nearby function. Vietnamese? Yes please! It was late, so most patrons had already cleared out. My waitress was friendly and efficient. The place is open, bright and clean. Street parking, if you’re lucky, or walk a bit from a nearby lot like I did. It’s in an outdoor mall, so the window shopping(or real shopping, as I ended up doing) is fun. Larger menu than I am used to for a Vietnamese place. No garlic sauce made it easy for me to choose the Rare Beef Phở over the rice or rice noodle plates. Very good Phở. I didn’t need to add much of the table seasonings to my bowl, which is how I gage a place. Fresh Summer Rolls were properly crispy and chewy. Peanut sauce was average(which still means good). Thai Milk Tea, iced with boba, was soooo good — think cold chai with tapioca pearls.
