Jos A. Bank Clothiers

My first time shopping there with my son went great. Brett was very patient and we spent over an hour measuring and making sure everything was right. I spent a pretty penny but I felt it was worth it. I have seen their advertisements and finally decided to take the plunge. Glad I did.

The previous post did its job. The store is under new management — the store manager and clerk serviced me when I was there — very friendly and efficient — we even discussed the previous post — the manager indicated that she would like to respond to the poster.

As much as I love Jos A. Bank clothing, I despise going to their store in my city. I have only met one person in this store that isn’t arrogant, condescending, and doesn’t make you feel like you are a bother to their day by walking in.
The first time I walked into this store, and mentioned that I had made an internet order and had a question, the sales idiot says to me: «now why would you order online and screw us out of a commission and give it to some guy in Baltimore? You should think about that before ordering online.» No kidding. I turned right around and walked out of the store.
I thought this was an isolated incident, and went back in there some time later, and was treated almost identically by another person who made me feel like my presence was a burden in the store. Was I underdressed? No, I was dressed to the nines walking in there as I usually am, so obviously I’m not some poorly dressed slob in a ratty t-​shirt and flip flops who looks like he can’t afford the free peppermints on the countertop. I have bought quite a sum of money’s worth of clothing from Jos. A. Bank online over time and it will continue to be that way. Anything to keep me out of their retail store in Lakeland is a good thing to me.
Occasionally, I have to go in there to pick up an altered suit I purchased online and I make great pains to ask for the same individual, who is a lady, because the rest of them are just pompous jerks. She is very sweet and courteous. The rest of that staff aren’t worthy of being used car salesmen. In fact, I’m sure some of them probably came from the used car lot because they couldn’t hack it.
Yes, I’m disgusted by this place and it makes my skin crawl to have to go in there.
If I could give them a negative star, I would.
Great clothing but pathetic customer service.
