Concord provides a great selection of drinks and an amazing atmosphere! The owners and staff are friendly, passionate about craft coffee, and very knowledgable. Their honey and cinnamon latte is delicious!

Concord has completely changed my view on coffee. Their drinks are incredible and delicious. Each barista takes the time to make it right. If a drink is messed up they will gladly make you a new one! Their prices are great! Pour over for $ 4! They also have great teas if you are not a coffee drinker. All in all Concord is a great place with great staff, and a great atmosphere! Once you experience it multiple times it’s hard to not get that perfect vanilla latte or pressure brew every morning!

The aesthetic of the shop is really cool and the atmosphere is relaxing. Aside from one barista who doesn’t seem to understand how to make a cup of coffee, the rest of the staff is friendly and knowledgable. The cold brew is okay, same goes for their pour over. I really want to like this place but for how expensive the coffee is, it’s just not worth it.

Concord is mediocre at best. As a barista myself, I really don’t think the majority of the staff knows what they are doing. It took one girl 7 minutes to finish a pour over for me, and at that point the coffee was simply overextracted. I’ve tried all of their coffees and although I typically love East African coffees, they ALL are extremely acidic and taste like tomatoes. I thought there may have been something wrong with my palate, so I bought some Burundi from Buddy Brew and didn’t have the issue, so I’m not sure what it is. Maybe it’s typical of Counter Culture but I’m personally not a fan. It’s also extremely overpriced. I am willing to pay $ 5 – 7 for a cup of single origin manually brewed coffee, but I expect to get a full 12oz mug. I will say that I enjoyed their London Fog, but it’s also very overpriced for what you get. Overall, I feel like the owners care more about having a trendy space and hip employees than about the real craft of coffee. The space is beautiful and good for instagramming but that’s pretty much it. If you enjoy paying $ 7 for coffee that tastes like V8, then by all means try it out. I, however, will continue to brew at home.

Ethiopian wasn’t quite as light and fruity as I’m used to, but still great coffee and hip digs with plenty of places to hang out. :)

STARBUCKS who??? What a coffee shop should be. Great employees… Great atmosphere and amazing coffee! Concord is a locally owned business and the owner came up and introduced himself and made sure we were comfortable and pleased with our coffee. 5 stars for sure. I’d give 6 if I could. So lucky to live on the same street as Concord Coffee.

GREAT third wave coffee. Highly knowledgable on their beans and espresso options. Great staff with a lot of personality and recommendations. Love the ambiance in this place too. It’s definitely worth a stop, and if you have time, worth bringing a book or laptop and sticking around for a while. Check it out!

Wonderful atmosphere and décor with lovely baristas, however, my drink tasted like something you would expect from a coffee shop in the middle of Lakeland: mediocre. I ordered a Lavender London Fog and it tasted like warm, watery, cereal milk. Tasteless and practically cold even though I ordered it «extra hot». Given that this was only one drink out of an extensive drink menu, I’m sure Concord could redeem itself. But really, a London Fog isn’t that hard to mess up… which they did.

Great selection from multiple quality coffee roasters. Nice environment for individuals or groups. La Marzocco Strada espresso machine. A bit awkward to find, but worth the hunt!

I admire Concord coffee for bringing rare and interesting coffees to Lakland. This coffee shop affords an open, smartly decorated, and sophisticated ambiance reminiscent of the Oxford Exchange. They even had a jazz version of Radiohead’s No Suprises playing. I tried a Kenyen bean coffee brewed from the aeropress method(see picture). I have not tasted coffee prepared this way before and but this method brought my cup of coffee to a new level. The coffee was very flavorful and did not require milk or sugar. The staff makes this coffee shop exemplary. They were knowledgeable and passionate about coffee. The only change I recommend is serving food.

I’m going to have to agree with many of the other reviewers on here and state how expensive each cup of coffee costs. The ambiance of the area is unique, but they may need to reevaluate what they charge consumers for a simple cup of joe. In the meantime, check out some of the other great coffee joints like Mitchell’s, Black & Brew or Drica’s Coffee truck.

The nitrous coffee is pretty strong. This is a nice, cool place in Lakeland. Nice and cool crowd. Good choices as far a drinks. Needed more choices as per food. Average price. The place a a little hard to find. But worth it.

Cute coffee shop with unique selection of coffees and teas. I got the cortado, caramel latte, and dirty chai tea latte. Taste was comparable to other coffee shops and fairly pricey($ 5 – 6 per cup) but in my opinion, worth it for the ambience. Owner was friendly too! So happy to see a place like this open up in Lakeland.

I loved this quiet café! People were so nice and the owners even talked to us. People complaining about the price are crazy. It’s about the same price as Starbucks. It’s fun to see such a cute and chill place!

It pains me to write this review, but it also pained me to fork over $ 6.42 for a 16 oz iced coffee. My husband and I were traveling from Orlando to Tampa and stopped in Lakeland to try Concord Coffee, which my husband had read about on some food blogs. We love good coffee and we were excited to try Concord. We did not find it difficult to find as another reviewer suggested, but maybe the signage is new. Either way, the woman working the«register» was very friendly and nice, but a bit flustered. When I placed my order and she told me the total — $ 6.42 — I’m pretty sure my mouth dropped down to my knees. I am happy to pay for good coffee… but this was definitely the most expensive coffee I have ever purchased. At $ 6.42, your coffee should include liquid gold. We tried it and were super disappointed in the flavor. It was extremely acidic and just didn’t taste good in our opinion. Had I not just paid a small fortune for it, I would have thrown it away. But I couldn’t waste the most expensive coffee of my life. I don’t know who their customers are, but I can’t fathom who would pay that much for mediocre coffee(or even really good coffee) on a consistent basis. The ambiance was cool and I love local places, but this one was a dud for us.

Maybe the best cappuccino I’ve ever had. You get the whole nine yards here — the foam designs, attention to detail — and if it isn’t Sunday, you choose your own espresso(they’ll describe the different«notes» that each kind has). My friend said it was better than any Tribeca coffee shop he’d been to, and I’d have to agree. This place is top notch. It’s not the place to go if you are in a rush, though. They are taking care to make you a work of art, so you’re going to wait. But, that’s ok. If you just need a caffeine fix, there are several Starbucks in the area at your disposal.

Loved the environment. A place like this has been needed in Lakeland for a while. A great place to go and enjoy community or conduct a meeting. People working there were very friendly and helpful! Location is a bit hidden and the coffee wasn’t the best I’ve ever had. I would definitely come back if I lived in Lakeland though. I hope it does well!

My one complaint is that Concord was a little hard to find but the search was well worth it! The service is top notch. The baristas are friendly and witty and best of all very knowledgeable! They answered questions and recommended drinks. They did not street us wrong! We tried the Lakelandia which I was unsure of but it really tastes like beer. A beer that I can drink before work and gives me my much needed morning shot of caffeine. Not sure it gets any better than that. We also tried the flat white which I think could also be called the tesla of lattes. Its unique, tastes fantastic and gives you a boost of energy all at the same time. The atmosphere is fun and relaxing with several seating areas including an outdoor area. It’s decorated in a very clean and modern way with a lot of nice little touches. I will be back and often!

Never have I seen branding done so well. They came out of nowhere armed with hashtags and beautiful photographs and they took the coffee shop market in Lakeland by storm. All without selling an ounce of coffee. Magic? Branding! My grandma used to talk about the good old days. The American spirit was well and strong. It was built on the backs of people who sweat through all waking hours to prove their business and sell a good product. Bakers, tailors, black smiths put everything they had to MAKE first. The product came, then came the brand. The brand stood on the shoulders of the product. And they were rewarded by the loyalty of their customers who endorsed their work by purchasing their wares. Those days stand on their heads today. Upside down. Today is the day of social media. Walmart has a Facebook account. Target tweets. So the businessmen and businesswomen of today take to the hashtags. They are armed with beautiful imagery from fanciful cameras and cameraphone apps. The wares… they will come in time. For now, we have a brand in lieu of coffee, like a floating island, a levitating yogi. Click on the hashtags and buy this mug with our logo on it. The message is clear. The coffee will be good. But our branding is better.
