Not wanting to deal with the traffic on I-4 into Tampa I decided to exit early and grab a coffee and make my way west via Route 60 out of Mulberry, which by the way is a pretty cool drive. My GPS is programmed to alert me of any Starbucks within five miles of my location at any given time so taking this Lakeland exit was no accident. My first thought upon seeing this Starbucks was«this is kinda cool looking» my last thought here was«the parking sucks» not having many options I parked on the right side of the building since most of the spaces are located there and they were for some strange reason empty. After reading a few reviews about the slow drive-thru service I decided to run inside. Since there were only a few customers inside and no line at the counter I thought my decision was genius, as the time ticked away and I counted no less than 13 cars pick up their orders at the drive-thru I was re-thinking my decision. Although they seemed to have plenty of help inside they all seemed preoccupied with other tasks and my drink wasn’t a priority apparently. Finally my perfectly handcrafted latte was ready and I made my way back to my truck only to find it completely blocked in by the drive-thru traffic(I knew finding a parking space was way to easy). After about 10 mins or so a gap appeared in my rear facing camera created by a young lady putting on makeup and texting, unaware the vehicles in front of her had advanced. So now I’m in the drive-thru line when all I wanted to do was exit this cool looking Starbucks location and continue my journey west, finally a cool looking BMW sedan driven by what appeared to be a Tampa Stock Exchange Broker(I’m joking I don’t think Tampa has a Stock Exchange) decided my truck was bigger than his car and made room for me to exit right. Sure I’ll stop in again I sure but definitely using the drive-thru…

Slowest drive thru and service I’ve ever seen from a Starbucks. Not sure if they’re understaffed or what but definitely not planning on returning to this Starbucks ever again!!!

Each of the four times I have been at this location service has been far less than acceptable. The drinks aren’t made with the same quality as I am used to being a gold card customer. Being new to the area and this being the only Starbucks within a decent driving time this is the only one I’ve had the experience of going to and now I’m very upset. During my visit today my Grande caramel macchiato was bitter at best. I took three sips of it and tried to go give it back to the barista but was ignored for two employees that were trying to purchase things ahead of us, while they were discussing the repair to the Wi-Fi with Wi-Fi technician. There was an issue with the Wi-Fi and there’s a gentleman jumping up on the counter with his dirty shoes and no attempts were made to clean the counter once he jumped back down. I was tired of waiting so rather than get my drink made correctly I threw it in the garbage and left. The drive thru is horrible and incredibly slow, there is nowhere near enough parking, the staff is undertrained, incredibly slow making drinks, and their disregard for you standing at the counter borderlines on rude. In this town most customer service is absolutely stellar so therefore I do not plan on coming back to this location.

Love Starbucks. Go every day. But was in town and stopped at this Starbucks. Took 10 minutes to get my drink. They never said sorry for taking so long. The lady with the pink glasses who was bossing people around who I assumed was the manager was to busy labeling lid containers instead of helping. But she did have time to yell at her employees but not any time to help them or make sure her customers are happy. Normally Starbucks will compensate you if you have to wait that long but not this Starbucks. I hope the district manager reads this and makes some adjustments.

I’ve coming here for a few times since it opened years ago. I never had any issues here except the parking lot. The parking lot is so small, hard to park, and difficult driving through. I would suggest going through the drive-thru to save time parking. The staff members here are extremely positive and provide the best top-notch customer service! I only gave it 4 Stars because of the parking lot issue. I understand it’s a converted convenient store, but still the parking lot is a nightmare. I wouldn’t suggest parking here unless you want to fight with the consequences. Overall, this store has always provided the best customer service! Thank you.

Great Starbucks location! The staff is very friendly and my order is always correct. It can get a bit congested due to the layout of parking and the drive-thru. My favorite drink is an upside-down Carmel Macchiato with skim milk. Enjoy!

This Starbucks caught my eye today so I decided to stop and check it out. As you can see in the picture, this used to be a gas station and now its a Starbucks. I have never seen one like it so it gets an extra star for originality. Service was fast, the place was clean and the coffee was strong, what else can you ask for.

Ever since they did the smoking ban for outside, I avoid most Starbucks. Prices are RIDICULOUS and now that I can’t sit out under the fans with my laptop and cigarette, I’d rather try my luck at a coffee shop downtown. Staff here are nearly never friendly(probably because they have to be open 24⁄7), but the hours are a plus for night owls like myself. Traffic is nonstop and noisy(if you live in Lakeland, you know the bass loving, exhaust cutting rice racers that speed down Florida Ave.), also right across the street from the fire station can be frightening when you’re mid-conversation and sirens start breaking out.

Coffee is great but drive through is slow. Small parking lot and tough to park if you have anything bigger than a Mini Cooper

Love the staff but the parking lot is the worst. Would rather see this a drive thru only then deal with it.

Very polite staff! Rhea P. was right, parking’s a little tricky, but when you need a coffee fix, ya deal with it I suppose lol… I was visiting family in Lakeland and this is the closest one to their house — everyday we were up there, we stopped in for coffee — consistently good: D Thanks guys!

What a cool spot! Old service station has been converted into a cute, airy and spacious Starbucks. The inside has familiar features of all the coffee shops, however, a couple of high tables and great amount of outdoor seating make this Starbucks really unique. Because it is a converted gas station, parking is tricky. A drive thru is also available at this location. If you’re looking for a little retro with your coffee, hit this place up!
