This is my favorite place to go out!!! They are super strict when it comes to ID’s so if you have a fake I would suggest not using it! Trust me! This place is so much fun even if you are completely sober! It’s a must go if you’re in the Lakeland area

Came here for the Big Smo concert which was pretty cool. This place is only for one type of crowd so if your looking for any diversity, you won’t find it. Young rednecks and old country folk only. The pool hall is nice but if you don’t jump in for a game most people won’t let you play. The bar is on both the dance floor side and the pool hall side which is nice if u want to avoid the crowd. The mixed drinks are way expensive and barley taste like anything. There are 2 sets of bathrooms and a nice hug dance floor for line dancing only apparently, since every song they played people only seemed to line dance to. I had a good time but I probably won’t be going back. Also the bathrooms need more then one sink for all the ladies that use it, and God bless the attendant that sits in there all night.

Boots N Buckles Saloon is a country bar located in a plaza off of Hwy 98 in Lakeland. It can best be described as the Dallas Bull’s little brother. It is much smaller but the interior was recently updated and it is showing some improvement. You will find a very diverse crowd here every week, from high school seniors to seasoned vets. It is 18+ to enter, so you can expect to be carded and given a wristband at the door. It’s almost always been ladies night when I’ve visited Boots, so that is what my review will be on. Inside, the room is separated by a wall into two areas– one for dancing and one for pool tables and games. There are bars on each side of the wall and another in the far corner. The bartenders are not friendly at all, seemingly unless you personally know them or are a regular, but there is always a crowd around the bar for free drinks on ladies night. A DJ booth overlooks the dance floor and you will hear a mix of mostly country, but also a few popular hip hop dance songs throughout your stay. The restrooms are maintained by an attendant, but there’s still a constant flow of people so it can never stay clean. I blame this more on the drunken patrons than the poor woman stuck sitting in there all night. Boots offers concerts fairly regularly and the venue is a good size for this type of event. The performers are very close to the crowd, which makes for a more intimate experience. After the concerts, the dance floor is open for line dancing until close. The club does offer line dance lessons for free every Wednesday from 7:00 — 9:00pm, in addition to nickel beers afterwards. Tuesdays are 2−4 – 1’s all night and Saturdays there is a special involving a refillable souvenir mug. My biggest complaint is how smoky it is inside, but there’s not much you can do about that in a smoking establishment. The bouncers can be a little full of themselves as well, so that’s a little annoying. Overall the staff just isn’t great, but it’s to be expected for a place like this.

Whew, was that a trip. Decided to humor a friend who wanted to try line dancing and drove out to North Lakeland to try out Boots n Buckles. Was surprised but grateful to be checked for weapons, I suppose when you mix alcohol with testosterone it could lead to some crazy. We picked the wrong night to try line dancing as this was concert night and line dancing wasn’t in the cards. We decided to try the place out anyway and purchased tickets to see Twang and Round and The LACS. At 8pm the place was already filling up and I was relieved to be able to get a drink quickly by a friendly gal behind the bar. This is quite possibly the best place for people watching, with some particularly adorable country boys available as eye candy. We didn’t stay through the whole evening as I had a two hour drive home but it was worth $ 15 just for the experience.
