Twistee Treat

What happened to the friendly faces and efficient employees that have worked here over the years?
Waited more than a half hour in line and employee was not friendly at all — not even a «here you go» or thank-​you.
At least ice cream is still good.

Don’t waste your time. We waited in the drive through for 30 minutes, and then the waitress got our order completely wrong. Apparently, we paid for three items instead of two. I asked her to please throw out the soft serve butter pecan waffle cone I ordered because it honestly tasted like bug spray. It was horrible. She threw it out and didn’t even offer a refund. Our milkshakes were okay, but honestly the worst twistee treat we have ever visited. Then we almost vomited, because I found a hair in my milkshake!

I wouldn’t call this «Fast Food» cause the lines are long and they take their sweet (get it) time to make it. If it wasn’t 89 frigging degrees out with the sun blaring over head, I would have probably enjoyed the long line with others, with excitement and anticipation just like a little kid. Instead, I was grumpy because they lady working the counter wasn’t smiley or friendly. I imagined turtles making Turtle Sundaes inside the Big Twistee Cone, since things were taking so long.
But alas when my order was called and we took our food to the air conditioned car. I took a sip of the best Pumpkin Spice Shake I’ve ever experienced in my life and all was forgiven. One bite of the Chicago Dog and I was back home in the Midwest. What line? Let’s come back everyday.

Love this Twistee Treat! Ate a large waffle cone with chocolate soft serve with sprinkles for dinner. The girl that took my order was nice and respectful. Don’t expect to drive in and drive out of the drive thru in a jiffy, as someone in front of you may order a hot item from the menu. My cone was surprisingly humongous. The girl in the window asked if I would like a cup and spoon since the ice cream wasn’t as hard as it usually is. She explained they have been «using it» a lot. I told her please and thank you. Thought that was a sweet gesture, since I had shopping to do and would hate to have an ice cream stain on my clothes. Don’t know if I was hungry or just plain greedy, but I didn’t give the cone a chance to melt. A day later, and I am craving another one…

Pretty good soft serve. If I want yogurt I go to gelato joes. If I want ice cream I come to this location.

Love twistee treat but not this one. Sprinkles were hard & didn’t look the way it usually does when the make a cone. Kind of hard but that’s why I seek twistee treat out of any other place

Cute little ice cream shack. Lot’s of different ice cream types of treats and they also have sandwiches/​hot dogs as well. The soft serve comes in the usual flavors as well as a flavor of the day. The day I went there was a Caramel Éclair flavored soft serve — got it in a waffle cone and then chocolate dipped! Mmmmmmmm yummmmmmmm!
They have a few seats in front with a walk up window as well as a drive thru. Decent pricing, will definitely be visiting again!

Love the 50’s and 60 music through the speakers, love their Nathan’s hot dogs and their different choices of sandwiches.
Also love the variety of ice cream including sugar free soft serve ice cream for this diabetic.
You get a customer card that every time you visit it gets validated. When you fill out the back of the card, the ice cream parlor will send you a post card on your next birthday for a future ice cream that could be a sundae, banana split or any choice of ice cream in their menu.

Had an amazing strawberry banana shake here. Absolutely fantastic. Better than Dairy Queen’s.

OH MY GOODNESS. I cannot believe nobody had reviewed this place!
This may sound a bit dramatic… but it’s AN HONOR to be the first.
I can honestly say that this is hands down the best soft serve ice cream that has ever touched my tongue. Forget Coldstone, Baskin Robbins, McDonalds, Wendy’s Frosties, etc. This place trumps them all!!!
It’s so creamy, delicious, magical… AHHHHH!
How can I say this without sounding like a fat child? I can’t. Oh well. I don’t care: This is close to being my favorite place in the whole wide world.

The building is shaped like a giant ice cream cone, and they play awesome music! They also have a little drive thru and a little seating area. It’s just the coolest most fabulous place on earth.
I dread the thought of moving away from Lakeland because it means I won’t get to go to this particular Twistee Treat. The thought crushes my heart.
Tip: It’s the giant cone in the middle of the shopping center with the Lifestyles Family Fitness and a Chinese Buffet. Also, check out their «Twisters»…ask for the menu. They rock.
