This is a great place right on the lake. Can’t believe it’s in LZ! I’m not bashing LZ. I grew up in LZ and went to LZHS. The fact is, their aren’t too many bars in LZ yet alone good bars with nice people that run the place. Any bad reviews on here are just crazy. Food is excellent. Service is the best you can ask for at a bar, always. Been here multiple times and it’s perfect every time. It’s way better service than anywhere else in LZ. The seating is for everyone (whether you’re big or small). They have a nice patio that you can bring your drink out to. Good parking also. Some good slots in the back. Oh did I mention the people that run this place rock? The guy that runs this place knows what he’s doing for sure guys, so don’t say he doesn’t. People that run this place are the coolest of people that take care of everyone. Good drinks, good food, good people. What more do you want a piece of gold given to you when you enter??! I’m so sorry they don’t hand out gold bars when you walk in! This place is golden. Come hang out at Bobbers and you will definitely have a good time around good people.

This place has great burgers, and a good beer selection. Brought the kids and they had a good time too.

Bobbers is great! I’ve been a few times now with my family and it’s been really solid, delicious bar food each time. Their Hawaiian Burger with cheese and curly fries is amazing, and their loaded tots, wings, and pretzel with cheese are also great! The beef tastes quality, fresh & they cook it to your preference which is nice (I love medium rare). Nothing fancy, but great, guilty pleasure bar food! Can’t wait to go in the summer and sit on their nice outdoor patio across from Lake Zurich!

Stopped by on a Wednesday night for a few beers. Very clean and nice place. I had a tapped Half Acre that was great! My wife however had a tapped Blue Moon that was warm and flat… The server took care of that right away. Overall great time. Can’t wait to go back in summer to for the patio and the lake view.

Bobber’s is the place Lake Zurich has been waiting for. It sits across the shores of the village namesake’s 228 acre, glacier-​made lake. The location begs for a fun, classy, bar and a restaurant that capitalizes on the incredible atmosphere. Bobber’s answer the call in all the right ways. I’ve lived in Lake Zurich for several years and always wished someone would open a place like this here. Finally one day I passed by and saw the Bobber’s sign out front and was ecstatic to see that it exceeded my hopes when my girlfriend and I stopped in.
Convenient parking leads customers to the place they can enjoy the majesty of the waterfront the way everyone wants to; with a good drink in one hand and a delicious bite in the other. The interior of Bobber’s brings the outdoors in by using a working garage door dotted with high top tables leading to a patio with a gorgeous view.
The service is excellent. They are friendly, prompt, and accommodating. The atmosphere is lively, but never too much. This is the place to go for a Bloody Mary with a sidecar beer of your choice. A great menu of bar food is just the right touch. The selection of choice draft and bottled beers is fantastic and they even have good bourbons for a sip on the rocks or a lakeside Old Fashioned.
Don’t miss this place, and don’t be surprised when you find yourself frequenting it, especially in the dog days of summer.

I like this place especially in the summer time nice atmosphere right across from the lake. The entire front of the restauraunt is like a garage door so in the summer time the whole place is like outside. small menu but food isnt bad. lots of tvs and good music its a fun place to watch sports. Drinks are about average prices maaaybe a little above average. All in all a relaxing place to go out with friends havent really had any bad service there either so thats a plus.

The owner is a young man in his mid to late 20’s. He has no clue on how to run a bar/​restaurant. The employees are very inattentive to the customers. I was there the other day late afternoon on a week day. 6 people in the bar total. I was the only person at the bar. I was sitting for 15 mins without anyone coming down to the other end of the bar to see if I needed anything. I put my empty bottle on the edge to indicate another beer… NOTHING. Horrible. Horrible. The scoreboard down the street is so much better even though it’s run down. They care about their customers

The food here is really good, and we enjoyed stopping by. It sort of felt like a breastrant, with the logo sort of implying that, but at the same time it seemed like an okay place to bring kids, if you are into bringing kids to a bar.
The outside patio is really nice, and overlooks the lake next door. Overall a real good time.

Their menu boasts their fresh ground beef patties for the burgers, that might be the case but it’s very poorly seasoned. I ordered the teriyaki burger with pineapple it was very disappointing, I had to ask for the teriyaki after I bit into it and tasted none so its only a sauce on top. We are very disappointed, it’s more of a bar than a restaurant with good food

LZ needs a place like this, so it’s my hope they can pull it together. I have been there three times and each of the experiences was different. Either the service was meh and the food decent, or the food was meh and the service decent, etc. To me, their food is one ingredient away from being really good. I love the atmosphere. It is fun and inviting. I will go back, but next time to enjoy some beverages and watch a game. This place has serious potential. Hopefully they will get there.

Bobbers is exactly what it is trying to be. A bar with bar food. Great staff, great service, food is good. If you are looking for steaks and salmon, don’t go here. They know what they are (a bar with a great beer selection and great bar food) and they aren’t trying to be anything different. So the people that write bad reviews saying that they didn’t serve my martini chilled or my food tastes like bar food, go to Gibsons or Shaws. They are accommodating, friendly and relaxed. Everything you would expect from a great bar.

Scenery nice. Service spotty (been here before and service was horrible) Beer selection is not near what other reviews state. It sucks. Not that big of a food selection and this trip, out of at least 5 food items. So ordered chicken wrap, so salty couldn’t eat it. My daughter’s burger was so dry, she could hardly eat it. Server acknowledged, no manager came to apologize. Get your customer service and food level up, the view alone won’t save you.

Tried this new sports bar on lake zurich tonight. Very loud, dark, couldn’t see my food. Lots of cackling by middle aged suburbanites. Mega nachos were all stuck together and 11.00. Chili was supposed to be home made, no way. The only good thing was the pretzel bread but the cheese was right out of a can, one molecule away from liquid plastic. Beers were pricey. Better Food nearby. Help was ok.

Finally had a chance to find my way into Bobbers. This place has a long list of craft beers and different styles of beers on tap. The waitress asked if I’d like to sample a few and she provided 3 new beers that I had never tasted before. That was unexpected and appreciated by me. I ordered the shrimp basket which came with tater tots. I felt that the price was reasonable and certainly will have them again. I’ll go back and try the burger and update this review.
As far as the establishment itself, it was comfortable but the noise was loud with minimal people. Not sure how the sound would be if there was a large crowd to watch a hockey game. Not sure if this is a sports bar or a place just to have a drink.
I’ll give this place 4 stars based on the variety of craft beers available.

I’ve really been looking forward to trying out this place and was not disappointed! They have a great food and drink menu and the décor is really cool and unique for the area. Our food was good, burgers were slightly over done for what was ordered and fish tacos needed some more filling but everything was tasty. The service was good despite the fact they were a little busy. Really looking forward to going back in warmer weather when it looks like they will open the garage door «wall» and big picture windows so you can really enjoy being by the lake!

What a gem this place is! Bob has done a terrific job getting this place on its feet! Great ambience, really comfortable bathrooms, terrific bloody Mary’s! Great little find in Lake Zurich to watch sports and nosh on unique appetizers. Very friendly staff!

We had been waiting for you to open forever and the wait was well worth it! This is a much needed and welcomed addition to the Lake Zurich community. There are lots of younger people and families alike looking for a spot just like this to have a bite to eat or to grab a tasty brew. The menu is limited right now through the trial period, but everything we ate was delicious. There was a good list of craft and regular beers that will keep us coming back as regulars. The owner came by to greet us and ask us what we thought of the place — what a smart person! Can’t wait to become a ‘regular’ at Bobbers!

I debated between a 2 and 3 star review.
On the positive side, the staff and management was very friendly and outgoing.
On the negative side they do not have their act together.
Food took about 3o minutes to be served. (burgers and fries)
Burgers were OK a bit over done, fries were very good and hand cut. I tried a few tots and they were pretty bad.
I’m hoping to see them get their act together and become a favorite. The facility is very nice, washrooms are clean and very first class.

Great wait staff and hostesses — super friendly. And an awesome craft beer selection on tap and in bottles and cans. Wings were very good — huge and meaty and fried naked to a perfect crisp. I had the buffalo sauce which was mild, but added a couple of drops of the deviant dales hot sauce that is on the table — and they were super hot. Be careful with the sauce — great taste but only a drop is enough.
Lastly — the burger. Ordered it medium — medium rare and it was perfectly cooked. Juicy and flavorful. The bun was also very good. And the hand cut fries so far superior than anything that others serve frozen.
I cannot recommend this place highly enough — and every person in the place was so friendly and helpful. We will certainly be back!

We’ve been waiting for this place to open, since we are in walking distance! My husband and I went tonight, and were told that we were part of their special soft opening and trial menu. Could’ve fooled me!
We had the loaded tots, which were topped with cheese sauce, bacon, sour cream and chives. A large order and so great. The buffalo wings were spectacular! They were from Harrison’s poultry farm (which is where we always order our Thanksgiving turkey from) so we were very excited! Didn’t disappoint, so fresh and crispy and just the right amount of sauce and heat. Also had a burger, also super juicy and the fresh cut fries were spot on. Domestic beer on tap as well as a rotating selection of craft beers.
The décor was great, black and white with red accents and bobbers hidden throughout. Fun fish tank and lit up bar. Can’t wait for summer so we can enjoy the warm breeze and view!
