Worst first experience ever! My boyfriend and I were excited to try the place we heard about so much on the radio. First the waitress was rude, they didn’t have the ingredients to make the«special» margarita, the chip we were brought were from the bottom of the bag and all small and broken, my knife was dirty and to top it off my quesadilla was wrong. Supposedly the waitress didn’t hear me say no onions or mushrooms and then I could hear her discussing me and my demands in the kitchen to the cook staff. I would give zero stars if I could!

It’s been years since I’ve been here but my bf’s first time. Nothings changed, it’s still average. The mexican fondue was thick and luke warm, the chips were hot and light. The steak fajitas were tender and the meat was a good quality but it needed more seasoning. We liked the vegetable mix of mushroom, onion and bell peppers. The tortillas were cold, which seemed to be a theme of luke warm food. The flan was spot on :) Waiter was attentive and we were seated quickly. We might come back but wouldn’t go out of our way.

Have been looking for a good Mexicanw place but this is not it. We ordered a margarita, an app, 2 entrees and 2 kids meals. The margarita was average and the rest of the food was terrible. The con queso was straight out of a can. The«fresh» tortillas were definitely not fresh. And the rest of the food was low quality ingredients and poor recipes! Will not be returning.

Good food. Good service. And a nice selection on the menu. Ordered a dinner quesadilla and it was absolutely huge. Larger than the dinner plate it came on! Easily could feed two for dinner, especially if you have any appetizers. Speaking of that — the guacamole was fresh and tasty, and a very decent portion that three of us shared.

Basic and mediocre Tex Mex. Especially for the price. Seem to only offer top shelf margaritas, that are not mixed very well. Waitress was slow, and seemed preoccupied. I heard about this place from a local radio station, must say, I left disappointed. Food was good, price not so much. Will definitely rethink coming here.

After reading quite a bit of the reviews and taking in my 2 experiences I give this opinion. The chips and salsa are very good. The food is fine. The place is really nice. The service is fine. Overall, it’s a good place to get a meal but I wouldn’t drive out of my way to come here. When I’m in the area and hungry for Tex-Mex I’ll visit.

Place is not good. Food is awful and the bartender is jacked on something. Ordered house margs skinny and he charged us for top shelf. Needless to say we won’t ever come back.

Three stars for the drinks. One star for bland food. Having been raised in the desert southwest, I’ve had my share of Mexican and Tex-Mex fare. I’ve tried this place three times, hoping the first two visits were somehow a fluke. The drinks are great, but the salsa is always either too salty or flat-out bland. The the menu has all the popular Tex-Mex names, but none of the flavor. I guess if you’re smashed on margaritas, you won’t notice.

I drove by the place many times so I decided to finally check it out. Overall m my experience was pretty good, which was crucial because I was pretty hungry. They just remodelled the inside and it looks pretty good. Came with my wife and two twin daughters. Had the drunken shrimp fajitas and they were excellent. My wife tried the Cadillac margarita and I think she liked it. They have a good kids menu too. The staff was was nice and pleasant. Only complaint is that the food took a while to come out.

Food is great here, Décor is a bit dated and dingy. My Margarita tasted a little weird last time. However I will be back. The food is too good and the location is convenient for me.

There are two reasons why I was at this restaurant. The biggest reason was that our friends invited us to celebrate their birthday and the second reason was Joyce Kaufman on 840WINZ telling me that it is a great place. Not the case in my opinion. Sure they have a new section after the remodeling that is a bar separate from the restaurant. However, later in the evening on a Saturday night they feel the need to start Kareoke a little early and drown out any attempts to have a conversation. The way the tables were set up, each table had their own waiter which made it more efficient. However, our waiter was not efficient. We only saw him when he was taking drink orders, food orders and the bill. He didn’t fill up my water and I had to flag him down for some kind of dressing for my chicken taco salad. So overall the restaurant was effiicient but the waiter wasn’t. Also, they worked out a deal for us where we could order happy hour drinks and pay before 7 and have them delivered throughout the night. You may want to ask if they will do that for you. I thought it was pretty cool. There are only 2 beers on happy hour and Corona is not one of them. Also a house Margarita is $ 3.99 each during Happy Hour. Not very strong. The food was bland. It didn’t have much taste to it. I ordered the Chicken Taco Salad. I compared it to the other Taco Salads I have eaten at other Tex/Mex restaraunts. My favorite is Salsa Fiesta and I also like LIme. Even the chips were bland. The salsa was good. I ordered the friend ice cream and it was underwhelming. I don’t see what the fuss is all about. I don’t think I am going to go back to this place and I most likely will not recommend this place to anyone. Obviously they are paying 840WINZ big bucks to have Joyce Kaufman specifically rave about their place. Marketing 101. I am on to it, though. There are better Tex/Mex places out there. So I liked the staff and the ambience of the facility but I was not sold on the food.

I came in SUPER hungry. Was going to sit at the bar, but it hadn’t been wiped down, and I could see that the bartender looked stressed; so I asked for a table. When we were seated, the waitress didn’t notice that she spilled salsa on me and the table. I asked for napkins, and when she brought them, she put them in the spilled salsa. I asked for a chunky beef burrito, but was served a ground beef burrito. Although the food was good, I wasn’t happy with my experience overall. There is a place called Lupitas up the road. I suggest them over rosalitas.

I would drive 50 miles for this salsa! It is like crack, amazing yummy crack! So the place is a little dated, the menu’s are a tad old, but if you want authentic food this is it. We have tried a lot of their menu, and everything is so yummy! Their tortillas are fresh, homemade, and so good! Try it once and you will agree!

Had the drunken shrimp fajitas. Yummy. Also the chicken enchilada is amazing. The happy hour drinks are really weak. Skip it and go for the Cadillac Margarita. Super fast and good food.

Food was good but restaurant is under construction at the moment… big holes in leaking ceiling so the floor is blocked off right in the middle of the restaurant… wasn’t appealing to see while eating. Server was great, drinks delish, always get the FRIEDICECREAM… but… fajitas weren’t my fav. They were tasty but plate was overcrowded with veggies so there wasn’t a lot of meat on the plate. Will return again, hopefully after construction is done, and have another fun date night and a better review.

Been going here for a year now. Never had any bad food or service. The menu has a little bit for everyone to enjoy. I recommend going if you like Tex Mex food, the service is always friendly. It can get crowded and you may have to wait for a few, but it’s worth it.

I think the reviews for Rosalita’s are scattered because it has a lot to do with your order. Some things are above average, some below. Overall it’s slightly above average. Service, while better than many Mexican restaurants, is not the most consistent. However, Rosalita’s does have that«care about your product» feel and genuinely does appear concerned with doing right by the customer, which is their redeeming quality and the reason they’ve been around for quite awhile. Rather than continue with my opinion, I’ll do my best to provide an objective list of pro’s/con’s: Pros: * Lunch is fast, very good prices * Nice outdoor seating area * Relatively consistent quality. If you like one of their dishes, it will typically come out the same each time. Cons: * Some things on the menu are lacking, most things seem to relate to corner-cutting. * Interior is not always as clean as I’d like * Service can be spotty I’ve dined at Rosalita’s roughly 40 times over the past several years. In all of those occasions it has remained consistent. I’ve never had a terrible experience. A few minor mistakes, yet they’ve always made things right.

We come here several times per year when my wife gets a hankering for arroz con pollos. We both order the dish with extra rice and extra sauce. It comes with a ton of mushrooms so just let them know if you don’t like them beforehand. They give you a nice plate of chips and salsa beforehand. The only other dish I’ve ever eaten were the chicken enchilas and those were fabulous too. The place gets really busy. I recommend going on an off hour and for god sakes do not go here on Cinco De Mayo — it’s packed like the streets on Mardi Gras. The staff is nice and accomodating and they are kid friendly. There’s several tv’s around the bar area in case your husband is trying to keep tabs on the game.

I am surprised by some of the other reviews — I guess we all look for different things and have different tastes. For my family, Rosalita’s Tex Mex Grill is superb and we can’t wait to go back! We went about 3:30 in the afternoon on a Sunday and they had a fair amount of business for that time of day. When you walk in the door they have someone at the front making homemade tortillas. Pretty cool. Our table ordered a half order of Crab Nachos for an appetizer. They were delicious with quite a bit of crab meat. I ordered their signature 24 karat margarita and I can certainly say that it was NOT watered down. It, too, was delicious but I did have to pace myself with it. Our entrees were Crab Enchiladas, Baja Mahi Tacos and the Sea of Cortez. There were absolutely NO complaints around the table. The food was spiced to perfection and the portion sizes were just right. Our server? Irene is amazing. She was extremely attentive without being obnoxious, knowledgable of the menu and really made us feel welcomed. As I mentioned above — we can’t wait to go back and explore other menu options!
