Wow! I was pleasantly surprised. I wish I lived closer so I could make it my go to for Thai food. I order the same thing I would normally get from a place closer to my house and the place just set a new standard! I tried the Red curry with chicken. And the curry puffs with peanut sauce for an appetizer. Everything was outstanding right down to the attentive service. Food came out quickly and on point. I will definitely be back when I’m in the area. I don’t often rate 5 stars but in the genre of Thai I think it’s warranted in this case.

Price and food are food, seems like the owners know the regulars and are very friendly. My only suggestion is that they improve the look of the plane by removing any cardboard boxes from any customer’s line of sight.

Food is very good but delivery is iffy. Two times in two weeks, no chop sticks, soy, napkins or wasabi. Finally corrected after an hour, but the«lady» said, «that’s the best we can do».

Wonderful, tasty and expertly arranged plates! The PayaThai roll is artfully prepared and tastes as great as it looks. Have been there twice and the waiter even remembered, after one visit, the spice level in our food! It’s a tiny place and is always full.

Sushi is supposed to be art. That’s part of what makes it so yummy. Payathai is a hidden gem that needs to be harvested and put on display for all to see. Payathai is mainly for Thai Cuisine but, they also make a mean bowl of ramen as well as beautifully artistic sushi plates that are absolutely to die for. Since my first visit, I have begun frequenting this establishment for three things depending on my mood. Sushi: Sex on the Moon Poultry: Peanut Chicken Soup: Tokyo Ramen(with an extra egg) Each plate is not only delicious, but beautifully put together. The staff is extremely friendly and because it is a smaller restaurant, frequenters of this restaurant are treated to familiar faces which makes the regulars familiar as well. It’s like we are all family! #FamilyDinner Payathai gets 5 stars, not just because the food is awesome, but their artistic ability and friendly staff make you want to return again and again.

For just the food, I would give it 5 stars, but a little extra in the way of accouterments would make it a better dining experience. The knife and forks were the 10 for a dollar cheap picnic type. The chop sticks had no holder to rest them on. I ordered some Thai red sauce and they brought out a large bottle of chili sauce that looked a year old, ¾ empty and dripping with red stuff inside and out.(I did not touch it). The bad stuff aside, the food was extraordinary and the portions ample. We started out with a great sake. My wife then had shrimp tempura which was outstanding. I had a mixture of shellfish and vegetables, also wonderful. Portions were generous and the prices moderate, The menu was extensive. I hope the owners of this place will read this review and invest in a few nicer amenities because I would like to come back.

5 stars for the food, 2 stars for the service. My wife and I brought her grandparents to Payathai for her grandmother’s birthday. When we sat down we noticed that the narrow, small restaurant was almost packed. We were extremely excited as the Unilocal reviews raved about the authentic Thai food. Authentic thai food is something we haven’t been able to find since our Honeymoon last November in Thailand. Tip: Check in on Unilocal for a free appetizer. Beware that your free appetizer will be limited between the veggie spring rolls and the crab rangoon. We selected the veggie spring rolls. The spring rolls were a bit bland and had a little too much glass noodles for my liking. Each dinner comes with a Miso Soup. The Miso Soup had a nice flavor and wasn’t over-congested with seaweed. For dinner I was so excited about authentic curry that I couldn’t help myself but order the panang. The curry was AMAZING! Honestly some of the best curry I have ever had outside of my own creation in Chaing Mai cooking school. My wife got the chicken fried rice which was also excellent. Overall, the table raved about their food. Plus the portions are HUGE and most of our party exited with leftovers. The service on this night left something to be desired. Although our server was very polite, the drinks were rarely refiled and the finished plates weren’t cleared for almost 30 minutes after soups and apps were finished. Also, several requests were made throughout the night and were only completed with after a few friendly reminders. Despite the shotty service, I would definitely come back for some amazing Thai food.

This place is awesome and great portion sizes, We have only tried them once a few days ago, so good my boyfriend wanted to get food again tonight but it was late so ended up somewhere else that was horrible, but about this place what a great little hidden gem, we just ordered for take out, when I called my boyfriend wanted the spicy basil fried rice with chicken added to it, there was no confusion and it was a huge portion of chicken and I think they only charged maybe 2 dollars more for the chicken well worth it, he loves wonton soup and I got that for him as well as a surprise so he was really happy and said it was one of the best wonton soup she has ever had, I was torn between the Panang curry, which is my favorite Thai curry, that I have noticed is hard to find up here in Palm beach county in Miami it’s everywhere, I was torn between that and the pad Thai because I have been craving pad Thai, also I decided to go with the Pad Thai with chicken, again a huge portion took me a few days to eat lol, I had it that night the next day and the day after that(I am not a big eater though) my boyfriend is and got 2 meals out of his food .you get a choice of miso soup or salad with ginger or miso dressing both I love but we opted for the salads, I also ordered the firecracker sushi roll, it was huge fresh and perfectly spicy it has spicy tuna In it with asparagus and some other stuff inside out roll very very good, great quality, and was huge. i have found that most places like this that do both Thai and sushi are strong at only one, but they got them both covered, when I went to pick it up, I was just in time it’s a small plane but was packed and the sushi bar was right there, and you Can sit there at the bar if you choose to watch them make your sushi. everyone I dealt with was very nice and food was amazing, will definitely be getting more food from there again .cant wait actually

I think I like this place better than palm sugar lol. The service was so wonderful. A new girl helped us and she was so attentive and put our food away with out us having to ask. The food was amazing. I got crab ra… something for the appetizer. It was really good. And I got the spicy and sour seafood soup. My husband got panang curry with shrimp. Found my new thai place in WPB. I’ve missed thai food since I came back from Los Angeles and this was great: D

Really great. Went for dinner late on a Friday night and had the best Panang curry with shrimp. I can’t say if ever had perfectly cooked shrimp at a restaurant until this place — so good, and the curry was delicious! It was also nice to get a free appetizer with Unilocal check in :) I would definitely get food here again. The atmosphere/interior could use a little work(it’s dated and a little hodge podge). Google Maps doesn’t direct to the right place — to find it look for the location of «Kelly’s Billiards» on Google Maps, it’s right next to that.

Fantastic food, thoroughly enjoyed the time entrees, soup and the service. We ordered the chicken satay for kids, and coconut soup bowl, good size and even ordered it a second time to take it home. Great service– fast and efficient. Restaurant is in a small strip mall, hole in the wall sorta place, but clean and welcoming. We’ll be back again

Was there last night and the service was awful! We had to ask the waiter twice to refill our drinks. I’ve been there many times before but will not go back. I had the sex on the moon roll which use to be a bigger portion and much better taste it was very dry and the fish didn’t taste like before also food is way over priced! I ordered gyoza’s and my sex on the moon roll and a water my bill was $ 26.50 I’ve had better sushi for less don’t waste your money or time!!!

What a pleasant surprise! Took the in laws to dinner last night in their area. This little gem is huge in flavor! Our table experienced Thai and sushi both. All the dishes were hot, portions large, and fish very fresh. Good service, which is important to us. They seem to do a large take-out business. Asked if they also deliver, for the in-laws. Yes! Try this place!

I always have a good meal here when it comes to Sushi. I really like the volcano roll! That dish is 5 stars! Their spider roll is good too. They’re curry and noodle dishes are mediocre compared to other restaurants I have had though. My biggest issue is their dishonesty with all of you and myself. Numerous times now I have eaten there and on my bill they always charge me more than what the menu states. I always get the volcano roll for $ 13 on the menu. However I have eaten there over a dozen times in a few months and they always put $ 15 on the check. The first few times I did not catch on and paid, however the last few times I told them and they lowered the price to $ 13. Their excuse was they have an upcoming new menu that will be out in a month, so they are charging me the soon-to-be new menu price. But this new menu was supposed to come out technically two months ago. So they are full of it. Tonight I had a spider roll for $ 14 on the menu. I got the bill and it said $ 15. Obviously they are doing this not just to me but I’m sure they are doing this to a lot of you. One or two dollars extra might not sound like a lot, however if they are doing this to everybody when it comes to sushi and possibly other meals they might be conning hundreds of people this year or possibly longer. There are other issues as well, like getting our orders wrong tonight and not wanting to address the issue, while making rude remarks by our female waitress was very uncalled for. It left a sour taste in our mouth’s. We were celebrating a birthday and had six people there. I am one of their best customers and only come back because I love the volcano roll. However I’m not sure I’m coming back anymore. :(

Very good service and food was great. All of our orders were complicated due to food allergies and they handled all very well. Would definitely return. Enjoyed shrimp dumplings, red curry with shrimp, pad thai, thai basil tofu, and lad nar with tofu.

It was our first time going there everything was going good ordered rolls and a soup. Until my meal came it had an odor to it and I kindly was trying to tell the waiter that I could not eat it because of the smell and she was okay about it and ask me what else I would like to order something else on the menu. the owner or manager then spoke with our server to see what the problem was. The owner or manager came to me and said the meal was already cooked what are we going to do with your food then and I looked at her so puzzled and confused. She did not want me to order something else and was mad and walked away telling me I shouldn’t of picked it then. Worst service ever! She then was talking g loudly on the phone with food inspector about the last visit. That’s something to think about. The server was great wasn’t her fault

Amazing place to check out. We order chicken pad that– a little watery than we are used to but still tasted great, sex on the moon– wow amazingly good, crunch roll– deep fried and crunchy, Goyza and spring rolls for the kids– they liked it. Their miso soup was really good too! Service was very nice. Place was clean. Overall great place for dinner. Thank you Unilocal for the free appetizer for checking in!

Above average Thai cuisine, but probably best for takeout. The ambiance of the restaurant area is poor, with uncomfortable seating and bad music playing. Again, the food is ok but I’d take it home rather than eat there!

It’s cheaper than most other Thai/sushi places. They fall into the same trap where the sushi rolls seem oversized and the curry puffs are just so darn A-OK. The setting is ultra casual so it’s not ideal for a date. This is basically where you go to get a decent, filing dinner before playing pool next door. I liked it, kinda.

I have to say it wasn’t bad. I was a little apprehensive, as the Thai sushi phenomena was something we encountered for the first time when we moved out to Florida. Sushi and Thai food have nothing to do with each other and several of the places we’ve been to so far didn’t do a very good job at either. But for a relatively moderately priced lunch place, this wasn’t bad. My wife had red curry, and I had a sashimi bento box.

Customer Service is DISGUSTING!!! The first time I had the food, the company ordered and the rice was disgusting. You could taste that it was rice that had been refrigerated and microwaved and the chicken was cold. When I called to complain they promised to credit me the full amount for the next time I ordered. Today I decided to give them another try, the manager(who approved the credit) said she has no record of that and told me I should expect my food to be cold if its gonna be delivered. She argued with me for about 5 minutes asking if I want her to go broke by giving out free food. Then when asked for my card information they told me to hurry up because he’s very busy and don’t have much time. SAVEYOURSELFFROMMEDIOCREFOOD and HORRIBLEHORRIBLE customer service. Their food is not worth their nasty attitudes.

Decent food but not exactly mindblowing. Had shrimp pad thai, beef pad woon sen, a california roll, and chicken and beef skewers. Liked the texture of the pad thai noodles, disliked the overuse of fish sauce. The beef in the pad woon sen didn’t seem fresh – it wasn’t bad or anything, but it was reminiscent of beef that you freeze for quite a while before taking it out to cook. The food was does its job – it comes out warm, fills you up, gives you a bit on the side to take home for later. Given the shortage of good Asian restaurants in my area, I would say having this place around is a nice way to satisfy the occasional craving. However, hailing from a city where authentic Asian food of all kinds was the norm, I found the flavors of this restaurant mediocre at best. I’m not trying to be negative. Perhaps I’m just spoiled when it comes to cultural cuisines. We were only offered the lunch menu when I went, but perhaps my opinion may have been different if I tried other menu items that some of the other Unilocalers are mentioning here.

Thanks Unilocal for helping me find another hidden gem! I had wanted to try Payathai for a few months and when I saw a deal on Living Social I scoped it up. Payathai is located in a little hub of a pretty ancient strip mall. I would have never found it just driving around town. The décor in the restaurant is pretty ancient as well but every thing was extremely clean and that’s more important to me. Dishes ordered: Curry Puffs… They were very pretty but lacked curry flavor. Fried Thai Dumplings… Those were really good and fried to an amaziling perfect crunch. Spicy Tuna and Avocado roll… A-ok Rock and Roll… Very good definitely my favorite item of the night. House Fried Rice… Again just ok but way better then any kind of delivery I’ve ever had. For $ 18.00 I don’t think we would order it again though. Our waitress was very nice but not so attentive. She was the only one serving the entire restaurant so it was had to get her attention. I think if they had another server working I would have given them another star. One thing they do well is the detail and presentation in the sushi rolls. The entire plate was very beautiful. I saw the sushi chef creating a Red Dragon roll and it looked so gorgeous. I will have to try that next time. Quiet date night spot and besides the rice I think everything else was priced fair.

What a great meal! I was happy to unlock a free appetizer when I checked in at the restaurant. It’s a small mom and pop restaurant at a strip mall at the corner of Lantana and Congress. It seemed like they have a lot of regulars picking up orders. We started off with the curry puffs and chicken satay which came with 3 different dipping sauces which were all really good. Then the salad with peanut dressing and miso soup came out next. For entrees we had the chicken Thai basil which we asked them to make extra extra spicy which they did. It was really good and almost Korean food spicy. We also had the red curry extra spicy which was my favorite. The boyfriend liked the chicken Thai basil better. Our son had the hot and sour seafood noodle soup. He thought it was ok but he did fish out and eat all the seafood in the dish. For dessert we had the tempura ice cream. Warm on the outside and cold in the inside. Perfect! The food came out fast and service was great! I saw some sushi dishes being served and they looked great too. Next time i’ll try some sushi too. Great food, great service, I’ll definitely be back!
