Great service — very authentic Italian food. The chefs specials were amazing. Highly recommend as a stop.

Surprisingly tasty and legitimate Italian food for central Florida. I was in town visiting my Dad and he brought us here. Everything was tasty, from the fried zucchini appetizer to the L’Incontro Pasta entrée to the cannoli for dessert. Highly recommend.

First wine was the prosecco wine with bread
Next Pinot noir with a cold antipasto along with salad and soup for hubby.
I had the chicken Marsala which came with perfectly seasoned vegetables and red skinned potatoes. Hubby had lasagna, what little of that I could steal off his plate was yummy. Now we each have ½ plates left for take home lunch tomorrow.
Next dessert
We enjoyed different wines with different plates.
Don’t stick to one wine let Will suggest different wine for the different courses.
I personally do not like liqueurs but I did try the sambaco. If you drink wine stick with wine.

Excellent food. Everything seemed made from scratch. Early birds get a choice of soup or mixed greens with vinegarette. My chicken parmigiana was a large whole breast butterflied and lightly fried. The pasta had a red sauce with a hint of cream coming through. Wonderful breads and we can’t wait to see the dessert menu!
My sister had a stuffed pork chop and raved about it.

This is a hidden gem! Well, maybe not so hidden, but being from Orlando I’d never have thought to drive out here.
Had the pesto gnocchi and it was amazing. Tried a few other friends’ dishes and appetizers and drinks. They were all super!
With dessert we all had a round of their homemade limoncello. Again, AWESOME! Great stuff, great staff, talked to one of the owners a while and he explained everything well and was so polite.

Excellent meal after a day of air boating. Food was delicious. Definitely a local favorite. The staff was great and food was very good.

An impeccable dinner was had during an impromptu visit driving through Lake Wales. The chicken parmigiana was delicious and the pizza margarita was equally tasty. But the coupe de gras was the Crème brule which was to die for!!! Be sure to have a glass or bottle of Moscato to complete the meal.

Although we are only half way through our meal, we like it already. They were flexible With a clams only special order for the kids and its very good. My wife and I shared the bean salad with tomatoes.
Just had the blackened salmon and it was fantastic!
They say out out on the back patio overlooking the lake. We happen to be here on Valentine’s Day and the decorations are very cute.
The only complaint I have is the manager being a Yankee fan… I’m from Brooklyn and like the Mets.

Went here last night on a whim, based on the 4 ½ star rating. The inside of the restaurant is cozy and charming — a small restaurant with small tables suited to 2 or 4 people. It definitely promoted a more romantic atmosphere ;) the server I had was Will and he was great — attentive without being overbearing. And of course, the food! Every bit was so rich and delicious, from the complimentary bread with sauce, to my risotto with filet (chefs special). I don’t live in Lake Wales but L’incontro was more than worth the trip.

Happen to be in Lake Wales today getting the boat serviced so decided to go lunch, so looked on Unilocal and as usual my fellow Unilocalers didn’t let me down!!! This restaurant had really good Italian food! We ordered the Cobb salad which was really tasty and beautiful presentation (which I should have taken a pic of for you all to see) also had the tortellini soup, which was the best we’ve ever had and we also ordered a personal size pizza which also was amazing! My husband and I shared it all and left stuffed… more than enough food, we actually brought home a couple slices. My only compliant was the bread they brought out with the drinks, bread was not too good and they brought a marinara sauce to dip it in which was ice cold. But other than that it was a great meal!

Varied menu. Shrimp fra Diablo over linguine was outstanding. Service was good. Restaurant is clean. Wait staff very well-​trained. Will go back again.

This small little well placed restaurant is the bomb large potions great prices service is second to none. My wife and I made reservations for Sat evening. Do yourself and family a treat and have a great meal here.

Very nice Italian restaurant out in the middle of no where! Great service and food! We will return when we are out this way!

Heading back from south beaches, looking for something good, and we found it. Everything was fresh homemade cooked perfectly. We both had pasta dishes with homemade noodles. The sauces weren’t too heavy or overly seasoned. The lentil soup was very very satisfying. The breads came with a delightful red dipping sauce. Very reasonably priced. And the staff was friendly and attentive. Lake Wales is fortunate to have this restaurant in their town.

We found this jewel while traveling. Everything from the décor to menu were authentic. For an appetizer we had the eggplant rollotini. Great sauce, cheese and presentation. To accompany the entrée we had a salad which was served with their house made dressing that was so delish we bought some for home. For an entrée I had the chicken francese with capers and pasta, it was just enough lemon and the breading was perfect. For dessert we took a cannoli to go and it was definitely home made. Tyler was our server and he was very informative and had an awesome personality.

5 stars= each bite delicious, and attentive detailed service from Tyler, romantic ambiance and great prices.
So we stopped here on the heel end of our vacation and we are so glad we did. I was surprised how clean, and nice the dining room is. Our server was super knowledgeable about the food and the town of Lake Wales.
Which PS Lake Wales is a small town that had me concerned we’d find anything tasty, but this was a true gem. Lake Wales also has a few unique attractions.
The eggplant rollitini was phenomenal. The cannolis had an amazing crust very tasty and unique compared to previous experiences. The salad dressing was so delicious we bought some to take home. I had the lin’contro pasta creamy sauce and sausage it was so tasty, and my girlfriend’s dish was also delicious. She was in the mood for capers, they added them no problem. Again the service was on point we even were given some of their delicious bread to take home with our leftovers. Lastly we had a 5 course meal for $ 50, including the salad dressing we bought that is equal to about two bottles of dressing.

Service and food were very good — no complaints. The atmosphere is traditional as is the menu. Beer and wine are served.
The presentation of the food was well considered which gives a touch of elegance you might not expect in the middle of the Florida orange groves.
The staff did a great job.
I would eat here again.

Wonderful food and atmosphere. We had Chicken Sorrentino, pasta Alfredo. And Pizza Magherita which all had a delicious Italian flavor. The Foccacio was heavenly as well. Highly recommend this restaurant. Reservations may be needed.

Debated whether or not to go with 4 or 5 stars and I settled on 5.
I made reservations for three using the Unilocal ap. We arrived at 7 and were seated immediately. I specified in my request that we would like a corner table and they honored that request. Tyler our waiter was extremely attentive and answered all of the questions I had. The restaurant is on the smaller side and did have an outdoor area in the back that was enclosed to keep it warmer.
They bring out a bread basket to start. One small gripe was the butter was cold (hard) which made it hard to spread. There is also a marinara sauce you can dip the bread it. For entrees I chose the salmon sautéed in a way similar to a picatta dish. It was served with a side of vegetables (or you could have pasta). My mom had the L’incontro pasta and my dad chose the Veal Francaise (which he raved about, especially how tender it was).
The food was really good, served hot and with a nice presentation. Service was fast and efficient and everyone was very friendly. Prices are reasonable for the area and reservations were easy to make. If you are in the area and in the mood for Italian I would recommend (however I do suggest have a reservation as it was busy at 7 pm on a Saturday in January)

This is actually a great find for Lake Wales! Living in the area, you get used to putting up with some pretty mediocre food. This is not mediocre! While it isn’t the best Italian food I have had in the area; L’incontro is a giant leap forward from Crap-​abbas, or supposed food that comes from the Olive Garden.
This is home-​cooked, home-​style true Italian food. While a little pricer than either one of those chains; you certainly get much better food!
