Food was plentiful and the price was good. Only problem was the sausage and bacon was cold. The waitress showed up after we found the out told her she grabbed the plate with the cold meat on it and a minute later was back with hot meat.

Loved it! Yummy food & service was great. We walked in, wasn’t sure what to expect — but the parking was full. As I walked in I was given a number and I sat with the family for eight minutes or so. We were sat at a booth and the service began. We ordered breakfast (see pics). The attention & food «5 stars»! The owner saw my son playing with cars at the table and he gave him a toy truck, super sweet. The food was real good food, we’re talking the real deal. The bathrooms were super clean and smelled good. People continued to come in like crazy, servers were serving extra coffee left & right. Lake Wales Family Restaurant «Where Friends Are Family», well, you got some new friends… See you soon! Gracias.

This was a delightful little no frills family restaurant that we stopped in for breakfast on our way from Tampa to Boca. The service was quick and very friendly, especially the very sweet hostess who called everyone honey or sweetie. The food arrived fast and fresh and hot. The portions were very large and the food presented nicely. I would definitely recommend this place and I could tell a lot of other people probably feel the same way, since it was fairly busy for a Monday morning.

Whenever I visit my parents who live nearby, I always make sure too have breakfast here a couple of times. The food is very good and the place is very clean. I have yet to walk out of the Lake Wales Family restaurant disappointed.

My eldest son insisted that I rate this establishment at five stars because the proprietor handed out toys (nice ones) to him and his brother upon the occasion of our first visit. While certainly a nice and thoughtful touch, he needn’t have worried; this place merits an excellent rating on the basis of the food, the service, and the facility. Had two breakfasts there and both were exceptionally good. I’m guessing there’s a great Greek guy who really cares about the restaurant business running the show. Bravo.

Stop there while vacationing and the Phyllis cheese steak sub was delicious and at a great price. My niece order BBQ ribs basket and she said those were the best ribs she ever tasted. Staff was super nice and the service was great. I loved it!

Stopped in for lunch. Ordered the Cuban sandwich, it was a big sandwich & good tasting. The French fries were cold that is why it’s only 4 stars. Waitress was very attentive. Nice atmosphere for lunch.

Great service!!! They were slammed when we walked in but the waitress was awesome! Food was good too. When we were paying the owner gave my 5 year old nephew $ 3 for his piggy bank which we thought was so cute! Great family diner/​restaurant overall. From out of town and would definitely go back for breakfast, brunch or lunch. Better than your average diner.

Not from the area, but dropped in with my parents on the way to a different part of FL. Food was very good, we all ended up getting breakfast items and the portions were fairly large. Staff was attentive and helpful, all in all a nice place to stop.

The best diner anywhere that I have been and trust me I have been to many a diner. The staff is friendly and the food is great. A real family atmosphere. I recommend the ham and cheese omelette with home fries for breakfast and the chop steak for lunch. With lunch entrée you get soup AND salad. Good portion size. Sometimes is very busy especially in the winter.

Excellent family restaurant with a wide selection of standard American food choices. Very clean and comfortable. Rapid and friendly service! The BLT was classic. The complementary desert was very good. This place is a winner!
