Not impressed with this place since they got new owners. The quality and the service has went down not to mention the switched up the brands of a few item and its just not as good.
I would go a block further north if you are looking for dogs or burgers.

Went here for a «Chicago Dog» and was so disappointed! The order service was lousy and the pickle slice was so thin you could see through it! The tiny diced pieces of cucumber, onion and relish were barely visible on the bun. You had to ASK for the sport peppers to boot. The worst Chicago Dog I’ve ever had. It looks/​tastes nothing like the Chicago dog they display!

This used to be a really good place. Not sure what happened. I ordered a bunch of stuff to go and they altogether forgot my double cheeseburger. I called and they didn’t seem very concerned. They told me to tell the manager the next time I was there and they’d get me one.
Um– hello? what about the hungry person now? And NO I’m not driving back to get it. Not even an «I’m sorry»
And to the steak taco person beow– you are totally right. The steak tacos used to be great– now they are gross. Not only were they disgustingly fatty– they gave me gastro-​intesintal issues for 2 days. Pass on this place in the future.

This place doesn’t wear gloves when cooking and handling the food. I don’t understand this at all! I’ve run into this problem at a lot of these small hot dog places. Am I seriously the only one that gets bothered by this? It literally turns me off so much that I wont even be returning.

the food is good, but a bit pricey. Workers are super nice. Tacos are great and great menu selection (yummy fried green beans!), but it is a tad high for a hotdog joint.

Gryo Cheese Burger with grilled onions!!! Totally Awesome. They have the best green salsa for their tacos around. Good to see this Lake Villa tradition is still good to go!

If you’re in the mood for fast food fare, you can’t go wrong with anything on their menu. Awesome dogs, gyros, and the ribs are really, really good. Try the chocolate banana shake, it is fantastic! Consistently great tasting fast food, and fast, friendly accurate service.

okay… it really is just a hot dog /​hamburger /​etc. place…but their Chicago style dogs are really really good… frys (okay, you will NOT live forever) are also great… crispy…also have a good range of other goodies… including gyros if you don’t have to work closely with anyone after lunch…
