Great! They do drop ins for preschool age, but its highly recommended to give advanced notice younger children. It’s $ 100 each. Pricey, but my 3year old daughter’s normal preschool is $ 85 for drop ins, so I didn’t think it was so bad. They had seperate areas for preschoolers, toddlers, and infants. I decided last minute to drop the kids off here after my 10 month old was up all night and I had things I needed to get done. I knew we would all have a Very bad day if I didn’t find someone else to watch them. Mom got everything she needed done, kids had fun. Baby had notes written down about her naps, diaper changes, mood, eating, etc. She even got to paint.

My daughters go to this daycare, and I am amazed by how caring the girls that run this center are. I feel like family is with them while I am at work. I highly recommend anyone looking for a daycare/preschool to check this place first.

Last week in Tahoe was a lot of fun for my lil guy and me but for just one of the days, I wanted some mommy time to go to some snowboarding. Since 2.5 is a lil young to be riding with me, I had to find him a safe place to play for the day. Through Unilocal and other online avenues, I found Bright Beginning Child Care. They allow day drop-ins for families on vacation. Their daily rate was $ 100(cash only) for a drop-in and I think the hours were 8:30am — 3:30pm… even though they don’t close until later. I was pretty shocked by that as it is twice what my daycare in SF charges… and my daycare provides lunch and snacks! lol Heavenly is only $ 135 and Sierra is $ 100 daily but I hadn’t made reservations in advance so I decided to follow others mother’s recommendations and give Bright Beginning Child Care a try. They were ok. My lil guy said he had fun and liked it(he always says that) but I wasn’t blown away by the place or the reception, especially considering the prices. They won’t work with you on pricing if you’re planning more of an extended vacation, either. When I picked him up, his clothes were wet because they hadn’t used the snow clothes/boots I’d provided and they told me he hadn’t eaten the lunch I’d packed. He started asking me for a banana as soon as I walked in because he was watching another kid eat one and he didn’t have one. Ultimately, they kept my child safe and can be trusted but I wasn’t a huge fan on the details and pricing. I don’t know what the other options are for South Lake Tahoe daycare but, I’ll be finding out next time. Probably won’t see you there.

Great daycare. My 3 year old son has gone here since he was 6 months old and he loves it here. They balance teaching and playtime and I really appreciate their summer-time field trips out to the nearby beach and meadow. Thank you Eva, Melanie, Mindy, Raina, and Kelly for taking good care of my son.
