Excellent service! Expansive menu although I wish they had a whole wheat version for the pancakes. Speaking of which I’ve never met anyone that could actually finish them… So big! Great little breakfast place!

We went in on a Thursday morning, and the place was pretty busy. There aren’t a lot of tables, so each waitress had 3, maybe 4 tables at the most. Our waitress was not very good. Didn’t bring milk for the tea, after we asked, forgot to bring syrup for the pancakes, and we asked but she never came back, so we just ate them without syrup, and have been sick to my stomach all day after the biscuits and gravy. This place is always busy and I really don’t get why. They need to hire some waitstaff that knows what they are doing, and hire cooks that know when the food goes bad, because that’s why we think we have been sick. We had 8 people in our party, and 4 have been sick all dAy. won’t be going back, do yourself a favor, find somewhere else to go

I ask for a little peanut butter for toast and was charged .75 cents without being informed. My partner asked for more syrup for his pancakes and was charged $ 2.00. Food was mediocre at best. Also said that they don’t do separate checks which is ridicules.

Really excellent food and service. Fun upbeat music, kitschy rustic décor. The pancakes are fabulous and the rösties are a tasty skillet. Two thumbs up!

The food is good here. Coffee is good and bottomless. They are a star way from being great. I’ve been here twice for breakfast. Both during the off season. Meals are a little pricey but what do you expect for dead center Main Street tourist trap. It appears to be family owned. I would recommend calling ahead for a large party, as I saw a party of 6 or 7 walk in and out while I was there. They also wouldn’t split a check for another large party more than five times? I want this place to be five stars and am rooting for its success. Lake Placid has a dearth of good food, so this place needs to survive. Just don’t forget that the customer comes first.

This restaurant deserves every bit of the 5-star review. The food was absolutely excellent. In light of the pricing that is on the low side, I expected the food to be good at best, but I was really overwhelmed with how good everything was. The omelettes are cooked perfectly. The ingredients were fresh. The pancakes are the best I think I’ve ever tasted! The bacon and eggs were also cooked perfectly. They really know how to do breakfast right. To top it all off the OJ and coffee were perfect and the service held the same level. Can’t wait to come back!

While I generally avoid the main strip during breakfast because it can get very crowded, I was visiting on a off week and took advantage of coming here. Ordered the Bacon Swiss Rosti, which was good. I’m glad I got the egg whites since it’s a hearty dish. What I appreciated is there were other options for kids. Service was ok. My main server was very nice, especially since my one kid was ill, but the other person helping her seemed distracted.

The vibe of this place is great but we just did not receive a good breakfast. The home fries seemed like they were from the day before and it kind of killed the breakfast vibe. The bacon was perfectly cooked though and they had almond milk so that was great!

Really good service, tremendous breakfast, good coffee, clean facility… And there was a lot of people there when I was, so it must be a local favorite or have good reviews around town :)

Had the Reuben and the crab cake sandwiches with sweet potato fries. Everything was very good. The maple spicy sauce with the fries is something different and great. Service was quick and friendly.

Stopped one Sunday afternoon when we saw that they had happy hour from 2 to 4. Their bloody mary menu is extensive! We tried the Asian version which was created with fresh ginger and soy sauce. The pancakes were delicious and their prices were not crazy. Great place to bring the family if you are on vacation.

Great menu and decent food. Our server was not very friendly or attentive, but hostess and other servers actually seemed quite nice. Eggs Benedict was quite good. Scones were yummy baked goods but not actually scones. Pancakes had an odd taste and texture. Rosti dishes were huge, but tasty and freshly made. Water seemed to be tough to come by. Each request delivered a single water, we were a party of five. Refills were near impossible too. Very cute place. Wanted to love it. Just missed the mark a bit.

Delicious Waffles & we highly recommend the Mimosas and Bloody Mary’s. The place looked packed but we were seated in 5 minutes. Service was great

We had a great time at The Breakfast Club. With a party of two, we walked right in and sat at the bar. It was packed but if you come in with two tops, you’re more likely to get seated quickly since everyone else seemed to be in parties of 5 or more. The menu is much larger than I imagined with loads of options for every breakfast style. I started out with a virgin bloody mary(upstate NY does not serve alcohol until noon on Sundays FYI), and it was fantastic. Even minus the booze, it was probably one of the best I’ve had. I ordered the sausage and cheddar biscuit eggs benny, and they were great. Portions were a great size, and the cheddar biscuits were incredible. Great food, great service, I’ll be coming back for more.

We were shocked that nothing else was really open around 8:00 for a sit down breakfast! We stopped in and were seated right away. Even though it was busy, I was surprised it took so long for our server to ask us for our drink orders. I ordered an Eggs Benedict and my husband had an omelette. Omelette was fine but we both thought the home fries were way undercooked and they tasted like plain diced potatoes to me. My eggs were very undercooked and hollandaise is the type that sits out all morning until someone orders an eggs bene. The consistency was strange and it was flavorless. We waited a long time to get our bill and our server said«I’d say I didn’t forget about you, but I kinda did!» The hostess and other staff were friendly enough, but the food doesn’t make it enough for us to want to come back.

Recommended by the front desk of our hotel, my boyfriend and I came here for brunch before leaving Lake Placid. We ordered apple, sausage and brie rosti and bacon waffle. The bacon waffle was delicious but after a couple of bites it was just too heavy for me. I really like the rosti and enjoyed the combination of the tartness from the apples and the creaminess from the brie, over a warm bed of some fried.

I was a bit disappointed in the service, straight up awkward! The server lingered by our table looking at us, but not saying anything, hesitantly walking by then turning around — it seemed as though it must have been his first day on the job and serving tables! I ordered corned beef rotis: iron griddle filled with homefries, home made corned beef hash, topped with eggs how you like em & hollandaise, my Fiancé went with the bacon waffle: a huge waffle with 4 strips of bacon baked in it & maple butter, and then we ordered the French toast fondue for the table. Everything came out looking great and was ok. But nothing to write home about…

Nothing fancy here, but the wait line seemed to be pretty long so get here early if you are hungry. I waited for a table for 3 for 15−20mins on the weekend, which wasn’t too bad. Service was nice. Food came out quickly. I had steak and egg. It was okay. I definitely had better. It’s a small town, you just have to make do. But their menu has many selections. I wish I ordered crab benedict, but … I had to have steak that morning. I was satisfied, but wasn’t blown away.

First of all, ask for Ashley b/c she is a fabulous human being. Second of all, the portions are HUGE, which is a massive bonus if you may have imbibed a bit too much the night before and need to eat tons in order to maintain normality. Third of all, the coffee and water fill-ups were frequent and generous, and you can refer to my second point as to why that made me happy. The rosti caught me off guard, since in my world it’s basically a huge latke but in this place it’s a big plate of home fries. Still delicious, but surprising nonetheless. Anywho, I’d go back, especially b/c I was in no shape to try their Bloody Marys this time around and I love Bloody Marys!

Loved this breakfast place! And probably we’re not the only ones because we had to wait for an table for 15 – 20 minutes. More than enough choices, nice daily dishes and no problems with alterations. Had a nice eggwhitevomelet with veggies and tomatoes instead of fries /potatoes(the daily special). And they even have a nice selection of(herb) teas. Hubby also had an omelet which he really liked. Why not five stars? Mostly because there is no free wifi. And running a breakfast joint in a tourist area for me means providing wifi for your customers.
