Rick’s Taxi

Called up at 1pm to go into town, they were there in 20 minutes. (Great). Later on at 6pm we called to get picked up to go home and were told that they were unavailable until after 8pm. I called back to confirm pickup (even though we wanted to leave then and not wait 2 hours) the phone kept going to voicemail. Rumor has it (we spoke to the bartenders) that Rick has only 3 cars in his «fleet» and is the only taxi in the area AND he apparently stops working once he makes his money for the evening. (Aka who cares if you’re stranded) Tonight was –41 degrees with the windchill and is no temperature to being walking around in. What a nightmare! If I was the only taxi service in the area, I would have a stacked fleet of cars at all times and making a ton of money!

Used a taxi both Friday and Saturday night. From downtown to our hotel, white face lodge it was $ 6. I called and they were there within 5 minutes. Super efficient!

Awful. Rude and takes twice as long as they tell you. Car smells like cigarettes and driver charges too much. I’d rather walk anywhere
