Lake Placid Village Officials & Depts

lake placid, you have some truly breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, hills and lakes.
you have a charming village nestled around mirror lake.
you have a cute little free trolley, to help us lazy tourists when we are too lethargic to climb the steep inclines to our fabulous temporary dwellings.
in the winter you must look like one of those quaint alpine villages.
you have some decent restaurants, an adorable library, fresh mountain air, and an enchanting bookstore!
you have history, you have john brown’s body, you have the john brown farm. you have the olympic’s past and present avid sportspeople.
so two things elude me, where is the lake? oh yes, THE LAKE PLACID?
is only to be seen by the high falutin ones? it is hidden in a high society decimal system. i think i shall refer to this village, from this day forward, as mirror lake village.
also where the heck did all the REAL adirondack chairs go? i only see them in the shops; what’s up with that?
