Such a nice addition to the LO food scene! Don’t be fooled by the strip mall exterior, the inside is very lovely and comfortable. The staff was friendly and attentive with good knowledge about menu items. My daughter and I shared a sopressata pizza and the spaghetti carbonara. The carbonara was very well prepared(but not housemade) and were cooked perfectly. The portion was on the smaller side, but we had plenty of pizza leftover for the next day. This restaurant uses fresh and mostly housemade ingredients. The price on the pizza is very fair, but the pasta should either be fresh or have a slightly more generous portion. All in all this place is great and definitely worth trying.

Don’t let the strip mall location deter you! Amazing food and personal top notch service. Classy and authentic dishes all fresh and delicious. Great wine too. Sometimes the wait can be long for dinner and the dining room can be crowded but it is absolutely worth it. Locals love it! We like being able to see into the open kitchen and like the buzz. We haven’t had anything we didn’t love! Don’t skip dessert here either! One of our favorites in town.

I have been to this restaurant several times. Honestly, the food has gotten better. So much so that we decided to dine there on Christmas Eve — a night I usually cook. Our reservation was late — by design. Restaurant was packed when we arrived but almost immediately began to thin out. We ordered bubbles and a few apps to start, with the intention of having a leisurely meal. When we ordered our dinner, that included 3 courses per guest, we expected to pace ourselves with wine for each course and enjoy the evening. No such luck. All the courses arrived at the same time. 3 plates in front of us. No time to order that wine. And then the dreaded hovering to pick up dishes before we were finished. At one point I told the waiter to slow down. Please oh please don’t pick up dishes before the whole table is finished. My advice to management — if you don’t want late diners, don’t take late reservations for a party of 6, especially on a holiday. You kind of ruined my Christmas Eve…

This place doesn’t look like much from the outside but when you get inside its really cute and the food is authentic and tastes amazing. We had a really nice server as well. If you go here definitely end your meal with the Tiramisu, you won’t regret it!

Really like the atmosphere, and it’s great that they now have a full bar. The live music is a little overwhelming for such a small place, maybe a flamenco or classical guitarist would be a better fit. As for the food, the focaccia bread dipped in olive oil was everyone’s favorite thing, really great. Salads were fine as were the pasta dishes. It was good food but not excellent(except the bread). I was puzzled by the $ 20 price tag for basic spaghetti and meatballs. Their Italian sausage lasagna is a very reasonable $ 13, and linguine with several types of seafood is the same $ 20. As much as I like spaghetti and meatballs, that price seems too high so I opted for their spaghetti carbonara at $ 15. Would be a 4 star rating but the service was lacking. They appear to be short-staffed and our unsmiling server could best be described as «indifferent». She also forgot to mention the specials. The manager spent the evening schmoozing with the regulars and passed by our table numerous times with out so much as a hello or how is your food. I also had e-mailed them a couple weeks before our dinner asking if we could buy a bottle of wine off their shelf for our table and if there is a corkage fee, they never bothered to respond back. Overall you get the feeling they are busy enough without your business and could care less if you come back. The friends we met for dinner live in West Linn so it’s a perfect spot to meet up. Just don’t know if it will be there as we are less tolerant when it comes to service than they are. I make better Italian food at home so when I spend a fair amount to dine out I want the restaurant to show at least some sort of appreciation I’m there. A smile, a hello, a thank you will go a long way to make NEW customers.

The reviews are great and have been here once before so I was feeling like good Italian food and went there for dinner. Had the special of the day crab ravioli. I was very disappointed. They were very bland. Didn’t have any flavor nor did it have any salt. Anyone who cooks knows that pasta water needs to be like sea water. Whatever the sauce was supposed to be was more like the saltless pasta water. The server described it as a wine sauce but there was no wine or flavor.

Had lunch here after 2 great dinners. My sandwich had WAY too much garlic and had an odd fishy taste(chicken pesto sandwich!). One of us requested a salad with only dry spinach and chicken, and they brought it with dressing and more on it. Waitress quickly corrected the error. Service great. I’ll continue to return. Glad I made a reservation for a 12:30 THurs lunch, as it was busy. They were wonderful about letting us sit for 2 hours and talk(I don’t think our seats were needed, but it was nice anyway).

I come here forgot about everything, lunch, dinner, coffee, dessert and just to pick up some some Italian meats and fresh pasta. I have enjoyed every meal I have had. Their espresso is great, desserts are great, and then personality with service is great. I am always greeted with a smile and leave with one too. Be sure to check out their house focaccia, and their gelato desert with espresso.

This is a lovely hidden gem in Lake Oswego. It is located in an odd place — a strip mall. Who would have thought that one of the best Italian restaurants is located in this seemingly everyday building? I went here for date night with my boyfriend on a Friday. We had reservations — a must it seems like here. We gave our name to the host and were immediately seated for our 7pm resso. It was bustling with people. Upon being seated we were presented with complimentary bread! We came prepared and both knew what we wanted a head of time — I knew I wanted the Linguini Futti de Mara and he wanted the spaghetti carbonara. We ordered a spinach salad to share and had brought in our own bottle of wine — corkage fee only $ 12! It did take quite a bit for the salad to arrive, but it was nice having a leisurely dinner. After the salad it was probably a half hour before dinner arrived, but again, nice not to feel rushed, something that often happens at busy restaurants. Both of us loved our entrees! And we also had leftovers to take home, always nice. We ended the evening with tiramisu — delish! I am so glad we came here and I will definitely be back. Some takeaways: Price — Moderate. My linguini was $ 20 and the carbonara was $ 15 Service — Friendly, but not super attentive. We never felt abandoned, but at times I wasn’t sure if our waitress had forgotten about us or not. And again, the food takes a while, so be prepared for that. Ambiance — Small and inviting. I love the smaller restaurants because they are more intimiate :) Taste: YUM!

Perhaps I was there on the wrong night but we were disappointed in our meal and the service. They were understaffed and the food was middling, at best. I won’t go back.

Oodles of noodles! When I first walked in for lunch with Matt, I was surprised at how empty it was inside… until they led us to their cute little patio out back, apparently that’s where the action’s at! I ordered pappardelle with wild boar ragu — SOGOOD because I love thick, chewy noodles! The noodles were cooked perfectly with just the right amount of ragu coating each noodle. I didn’t quite like the strong taste of celery, but that’s because I’m a celery hater, nothing wrong with their ragu. Matt got the pasta primavera, and he said the noodles were cooked perfectly al dente, and he could taste the olive oil coming through in the dish. They also serve you bread(we had to ask for our), and it’s awesome to soak up every last bit of the sauce with the bread they provide!

Cute, friendly café. Looks better inside. Friendly staff. Pretty good fare. Complimentary bread was yummy. They make their own pasta fresh! You can also buy Italian stuff in there.

What a divine addition to my day off. It was my first time in and I already have plans to return! Fernando was my server and he was outstanding. He answered all my questions and made a few recommendations as well. I sat on the back patio which was just the perfect atmosphere. The staff here is great in the way that they are ready and willing to help and make sure you have the best experience during your visit. :-) good service now a days seems harder to come by and Nicoletta’s has got it down!!!

Probably the best Italian I have ever eaten. I had the pappardelle with wild boar ragu. Great pasta. The ragu was tender, rich, meaty, tomato-y goodness! Restaurant is small. Tables close together. Service is good. Bread basket when you sit down is amazing. Café Umbria coffee is served. A wonderful experience! I would drive from Vancouver to Lake Oswego for this restaurant.

No reservations but Patrick hooked us up! Such. Great surprise! We also got to sit in the back in the private room. The food was great you can tell that the pasta is made fresh! Our whole experience was wonderful! If we lived here in OR this would be our go to Italian place!

Just had dinner here tonight and it was amazing! We chose this place after reading other fantastic reviews and it didn’t disappoint. Ignore the unassuming strip mall location and go for it! We went around 6pm on Saturday night and it was filled. Beware that there isn’t a lot of seating and they don’t take reservations unless you’re a large group. We sat at the bar which we enjoy as you can watch the kitchen in action. Everything was made with care and the kitchen staff worked well together. Nothing sat on the counter for longer than a minute as anyone available would run the food to the table which shows great teamwork and pride in their food. Our server was great and made good recommendations. The atmosphere is neat as it’s a shop with Italian goods as well. First course was a duo salad of wilted spinach along with cauliflower salad. I’m not a huge salad fan but both packed good flavor and went down fast. The bread is house made and delish. Second course was pappardelle in pesto cream sauce with herbed shrimp while the hubby had spaghetti carbonara. The server created my dish after I explained that I love housemade pappardelle but not wild boar. Both were fantastic and we had a hard time saving room for dessert. Dessert is where it went a bit downhill as I went with tiramisu instead of the server suggestion of strawberry chocolate cake. The tiramisu was subpar with too much cocoa powder masking the other flavors; however everything else looked marvelous. Since we didn’t love it our server comped it which was really nice. Bottom line we can’t wait to go back! If you’re looking for authentic Italian that won’t break the bank this is the place. They also have supper club which we look forward to attending.

This restaurant is nice little gem hidden away in Lake Oswego. I am positive that I had the best meatballs I have ever had in my life at Nicoletta’s. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. I cannot wait to go back!

This is my new favorite restaurant in Lake Oswego. I’ve been a few times now. I would say it’s on par with any top notch Italian restaurant in downtown Portland. They just newly renovated and doubled their kitchen area. Only thing I would say is stick with the pastas. The other stuff is good but the pastas are awesome. Had the burger tonight, good but no awesome. All the pastas are really good but my favorite is probably the fettuccine with butter truffle sauce. Wow! It was fantastic. My wife really likes the classic spaghetti. Bread and olive oil are also top notch. Service has always been excellent. They take reservations for parties of 5+. I was very surprised that they were completely booked with reservations at 5pm on a Wed evening. They were nice enough to make it work for us. The manager figured things out and let us sit at a table that had reservations at 6:30p. We made it out with plenty of time. Thanks again for thinking outside the box!
