Overall great place with plenty of beer to choose from. Parking — I did not see much of that close by. There is parking a little ways away if you don’t mind walking. Service was excellent. We were just visiting to have a few beers before we go to dinner. Great place to stop and have a beer or two after work. They have bar bites but we did not have any. Eye candy did not see any of this. We did visit on a week day, Tues, right after work so it may be better later in the week. It was very slow but clearly looks like they do get busy. I recommend and plan on visiting again.

Lots of beer and free samples. The waitress was so patient with me and my many samples because I’m NOT a beer drinker. The bar food was great and the ambiance was a cross between sports and dive bar which is to be expected. I had a great time. I can’t comment on the beer selection since I don’t drink beer on the norm.

A group of friends and myself stopped in to World of Beer on a whim. The beers were a bit pricey but the selection and atmosphere were fantastic.

We tried World Of Beer for a buddie’s birthday. The selection of Beer was amazing, as you could imagine. We also tried some flatbread pizza things, which were pretty yummy too. The only reasons I am giving 4 stars instead of 5, is because the prices are a little on the high side, especially for the small portions sizes. Still a very cool experience.

This is the best WOB location, in my opinion. I went with a large group on a weekday and sat outside on the patio. Seats and tables are comfortable outside and there’s lots of room for many people. The best part of our visit was our service. Our server was really impressive. She was continually checking in on us and no beers were ever empty. She did a great job of with the food orders and didn’t give one of our attendees any problems when she brought a to-go order from across the street. Our group moved from outside to be beer pong tables and eventually inside. Our server followed us and kept track of all of our separate orders without even specifying who was separate and which were couples. Very impressed. She also greatly discounted my bill at the end of the night which scored her a large tip! Thanks for taking good care of us! We will be back!

It’s often hard to truly rate a chain in terms of unique experiences. This WoB is obviously not far off from any other WoB. I went twice while here, once in the late afternoon time when it wasn’t busy and once when it was prime chilling time and the world cup was on. My first experience was good. It’s a small location but well-designed. I sat at the bar and was attentively served by a guy who was helpeful in my beer selections and not judgy because I’m a girl(yes, this happens. No, not all females want Redd’s Apple Ale). He suggested two Goses and I enjoyed them both. I wish the prices were brought forward before the pour but I also didn’t take it upon myself to ask, so that’s not really his fault. If my afternoon experience was my only experience, I would have given this place 4 stars. However, I went back that night to watch the World Cup because I was told it would be on the big screen and I always like to watch with people. We go in there and service was slow and awkward. Waitress had the personality of sopping wet cardboard. She acted annoyed and seemed to know nothing about beer… that, or she didn’t feel like being an ounce of helpful. The sound was not on for the game even though 75% or more of the bar was cheering it. Around 7:30 or 8 some guy came in straight out of the 90’s and changed all the other TVs to some mash up of 80’s and 90’s music videos playing very loudly. He then walked around with a microphone humming and sometimes asked people some questions. It was annoying and seemed out of place. We left with all the other people and went down the street where the sound was on.

I’ve been to world of beers all over and even here a few times, but tonight I was unimpressed by the waitstaff. I noticed something after I left, all the bar/restaurants in the vicinity were crowded, except for world of beers. Maybe the owner should rethink his staff, especially the female one with square framed glasses.

World of Beer is my go-to when I’m in town visiting family and need a little break. There are only townie bars near my grandparents’ house, and I’m a little unsure of them so I make the longish drive out to WoB either Lake Mary or Altamonte. I prefer the Altamonte Springs one to this one though, it just feels a little cozier. Parking in the shopping area here was difficult on a Saturday night. The row was packed, yet WoB was empty. A little suspect, but maybe people wanted something lively. I didn’t mind, as I was there to chill but I can see how if you wanted a night out, you would look elsewhere. Beer list was decent but I was disappointed that there were not many FL beers on tap. I don’t know if that’s how they made the list or if there aren’t enough FL breweries? As for the«exotic» beers they were mostly the major players — Stone, Victory, New Belgium, Abita, etc rather than micros. As a response to the owner’s comment below, the draft list on the website shows 3 local beers(not 30) and yes, Stone is listed. I know it’s a rotating list, but I’m not completely off base by saying there were not enough FL beers.

**UPDATE** Visited this location again, on the 4th of July. Upgrading from 4 stars to 5. On this trip, we ordered dinner in addition to our drinks and were blown away. The food was delicious! We ordered the shrimp tacos & the steak sandwich. The kitchen manager came out and chatted with us for a little while, to make sure everything came out okay. We will definitely order food here more often. We had a great time at WOB in Lake Mary! Parking in this shopping center can be a bit hectic — but we were lucky to find pretty much a front row spot upon arrival! We went on a Friday evening around 6 or so. Happy to find out that they carry some of our favorite bottle beers by Wells(Sticky Toffee Pudding Ale and Banana Bread Beer– YUM!). My other half finally got to try the Moo-Hoo by Terrapin that he has been looking everywhere for. We were there to celebrate and it was a great spot for the occasion! To me, the bar stools were very comfortable, and they had a great selection of foods to choose from as well. Next time we go, we are definitely going to give their giant soft pretzel a try — so many people ordered them while we were there, so they must be delicious! Beers were a bit on the pricey side, but for a special occasion this is a great place for a large variety of craft beers and ciders!

I cannot believe WOB has gotten to this low a point. I’ve frequented WOB on the past for beer and a good time and things were ok. Nothing to brag about. No local feel, no good prices, no reason to believe the staff even remembers who you are. But I was fine with that. It served it’s purpose of me getting my drink on and talking to my beautiful wife. Last night was a very different story. I went in with my wife and my daughter and we sat for a meal and a quick beer. I didn’t realize that world of beer, for some odd reason only serves burgers on Mondays. That is the oddest thing I’ve come across in a restaurant but whatever it’s their thing. I was thinking of ordering the shrimp tacos for my daughter but she doesn’t like too much heat on her food so I asked if the Sarachia cannot be used and the response was it’s mixed in Sarachia batter and fried. That’s fine. So I asked about a different shrimp dish that’s battered in something different with an aioli sauce and I am aware that aioli sauce is put on after but then I was told that’s not the case. That’s very odd. I then proceeded to ask if I can have fries with my turkey club and was told that they cannot offer fries because the fryer is broken. Why wasn’t I told about a fryer being broken when I was asking about battered shrimp that is obviously fried? The topper of this experience was when I left I had to go back to get my credit card that was still in the waiters pocket. Whether it was unintentional, it doesn’t matter to me because he obviously asked for it at the beginning of the meal to start a tab which he didn’t forget to do, but he forgot to give it back? Not going back there.

Keep an eye on the check. That’s my tip. Your typical overpriced refrigerator bar here. Scores of craft beer on draft and in bottles and interesting foodstuffs we didn’t try. Our server knew everything about the beers he liked and nothing about the ones he didn’t. Was also pushed off the beers on special with the excuse, «.the taps burst.»

This place has really grown on us. First visit, we felt old & a little out of step. Actually, a lot out of step. So many choices — guess that’s where the name comes from :) — but the beer-tenders seemed to be way too busy to stop their rushing around & help us with our selection. ‘Whaddya have, whaddya have’ — kinda felt like The Varsity in Atlanta — fast-food-style beer joint, wanting to turn tables and/or kill kegs ASAP. Undeterred from our initial awkward feelings of nerdiness, we kept going back. The next few visits we began to sense we were kinda sorta able to start blending into the diorama, and became more comfortable just sitting around. The rushed order-taking beer-tenders standing over us seemed to melt away. Then we would just sit and observe the place in its entirety, which then gave us a chance to take things in at a slower pace as we perused the menu. And now, these same beer-tenders, all nice guys & gals, seem to recognize and respect our needs, and have actually started to take their time to discuss our personal tastes, and then make suggestions. Nice. We realize there is much more to WOB than we saw and experienced that first stop. Now we feel like we’re becoming an actual part-time member of the local cool-vibe beer-swilling cabal that frequents this WOB. We’re liking this vibe more and more. There’s pretty good food, occasional pop-culture trivia, very pleasant folks, comfortable seating, friendly and knowledgable beer-tenders, and great beer — all in all, we like WOB, and have put this stop on our night-out rota of fun places to wet our whistle. And we seem to have gotten younger, for some reason — how’s that working? Nicely played, WOB. Please keep up the good work. We’re in.

I keep hearing about the decline in the quality of the service at this location but found myself here one night recently anyway. Beer selection is still great but I can definitely see why others would not want to go anymore and her name is Stephanie. I’ve never seen someone so completely unprofessional and rude. I wanted to express my distaste in her manners but figured it’d only make her attitude worse so I kept my mouth shut, cashed out, and left with a sour lasting impression of this location. Will not be back again. There are plenty of other WOBs in the sea.

Beer: 3. Great selection of beer. Prices are 5 – 9 per pint(or less if specialty beer with high ABV). Service: 1. Service was extremely cliquey– it felt like someone had let high schoolers take over the bar so they could cater to their friends’ every need and more or less ignore everything about everyone else. One bartender spent the majority of his time flirting with his girlfriend and friends or bringing samples of beers or stickers for said beers to the regulars. I’m fairly congenial– I make small talk with bar tenders at most bars I frequent. This bar would not have that — how do you expect me to become a regular if you treat me as second rate? Food: 1. Basically an appetizer menu of foods that can be microwaved or thrown on the thermal pizza stone they have(no kitchen). I heard them tell the guy next to me that his food was not hot because if they reheated it to match the temp of his chips, it would have dried out too much. Why not just start over and do things right the first time instead of bringing admittedly sub-par food? Most WOB locations have menus for local restaurants to deliver– not this one. Atmosphere: 3. Clean, well kept. Audio for the sports game was a bit quiet for my liking, but I can understand that as the crowd was mostly late-30s, early-40’s. Want wide selection of beers at high prices with servers that treat you like you’re out of place? This is your place. Want food with your beer? Go some where else.

This place has hundreds of beers available to partake in. What else needs to be said? Even though WOB is a franchise it’s still worth the review to note that it’s an excellent place to meet friends or spend a relaxing night out. They have sports on the TVs and a huge selection, and the location can’t be beat. So far I have tried many beers from all over the country and settled on Ommegang as one of my top favorites. I used to enjoy this while in College, and being able to find it down in Florida has been great.

I Enjoy this location’s convenience. The selection is of course top notch for beer, abysmal for wine. Pricing is always inconsistent depending on location, but this one stays pretty competitive given the neighborhood. They recently(within the past year) added a bar menu with high quality items. My friends love the gourmet pretzel(this ain’t your everyday microwave pretzel) and I particularly enjoy the battered shrimp. Quality definitely surpasses any ale house or pub in the area; yea it’s bar food, but none of the items feel like an afterthought Staff is competent and friendly, no matter which location. Community involvement is refreshing but seems to have shifted — partnering with local restaurants was great to see in the past before they offered their own menu. But they still have a lot of fun things going on regularly. Always fun on a Sunday afternoon for football.

Beer, beer and more beer, plus fun trivia games on a Wednesday night. St. Bernardus Abt 12 on tap, ’nuff said. One day, I need to try their bar food snacks, they sound good. Great service too.

My first time here was this past Friday. I pretty much knew what to expect, since I’d been to the one in Dr. Phillips a few times. I wasn’t here for all that long and, to be honest, didn’t pay a ton of attention to what was going on(my friend and I stopped by here for a beer to discuss The Dark Knight Rises, which we’d just seen), but the experience was very positive. Our server was very attentive and was able to answer any questions we had. My friend and I ordered two orders of Mozzarella cheese sticks, which we were told were one of only a few dishes World of Beer offers.(I’d never eaten anything at the Dr. Phillips location; until Friday night, I was unaware WoB offered any food at all.) They were good, as were our beers. As the name of the business suggests, WoB has an extensive list of both bottled and draft beers. If you can think of it, chances are WoB has it. The prices, of course, vary, but nothing seems overpriced or a ripoff. This World of Beer has a great atmosphere and is in an excellent spot for Lake Mary/Heathrow nightlife. If I hung out some more up this way, I’m sure I’d stop by here more often. As things currently are, I am closer to the Dr. Phillips and Altamonte Springs locations, though I’ve yet to go to the latter. Check it out if you’re in the area and are a beer aficionado.

We really enjoyed the Lake Mary location of World of Beer. We live very close to the UCFWOB location, but we would drive the extra miles to head back to the Lake Mary WOB. The various sporting events were on TV’s, the vibe was chilled and there was music on. However, it was not a cacophony of noise making it hard to think straight or talk to the person next to you.(Which, we have to do at the UCF location) The service was AWESOME. Drinks were brought quickly after a friendly greeting and some suggestions. Hubby was loving the Long Coast Tangerine Wheat on draft. Fans of Blue Moon should check it out– perfect warm weather sipper. I enjoyed a new Octoberfest, which was not on the menu. Yum! Beers were refreshed promptly and we enjoyed a few hours chillin’ and enjoying ourselves.
