Bayfront Bar & Grill

Sub par food, terrible service. The décor was dirty and covered in spiderwebs and bugs. Plastic chairs very uncomfortable. We ordered chicken tenders, they were rock solid with hardly any chicken inside, the bbq pulled pork sandwich was ok, needed more bbq sauce. Too bad a server was impossible to find. Won’t be returning

The fried fish was pretty good and we had an excellent view of Lake Lure from the deck.

Nice views from the outdoor patio and the service was good. Unfortunately, the food was just so so. The crab stuffed mushrooms were good, but the «Larkin’s favorite» pecan encrusted trout was gross.

The view is majestic, but the food is awful. Also the service is slow and sloppy. Too pricy for that kind of place

Good service. Yummy fries. Great view. Really good dessert. Best place we have eaten since we’ve been in town. Server very attentive. Never ran out of drinks.

It was our first time ever visiting Lake Lure. I ordered the blue cheese salad. It was excellent. My wife ordered the pecan crusted trout, but it was not to her liking. Our server Josaphe (yes it is spelled correctly) quickly recommended that she get something else, so she got the Asian Salmon with Corn Chowder. She loved it. He did not charge us for the trout. Wine list was good and the best part aside from the excellent service was the spectacular views of Lake Lure. Will return again for sure.

We were a little worried because of the 3 ½ star rating but idk what these people expected… It’s a BAR AND GRILL. Great service, great food, awesome view and fair prices! Never been to Lake Lure before and this was definitely a good place to go! Also check out the shops on the west side, so much to see and do! We will be coming back!

The view was 5 stars, the food was good. Larkins on the Lake and the Bayfront bar and grill are same place and same food. Restaurant is a bit nicer and quieter, no tv with football etc. Incredible views from both.
We had beer and apps. Great wings! Homemade tortilla chips were spot on.
Patio open during nice weather and dock for boats to pull up and park while they eat.
Go for the view, stay for the food.

Love this place for sitting on the deck overlooking the lake. Food& service always good. Burgers are great. Salads fresh. Sweet potato fries were a bit greasy & not crisp but they are the only thing that has ever disappointed here.

Eight of us came by boat and all said it was very good (she crab, burgers, wings, onion rings, salads, stuffed mushrooms, cold beers, and gold margaritas).

My sister & I just loved this place. This was our «go to» place. Everything we had was good. Sometimes, we just thought we would pop in to have a drink but always ending up ordering our lunch or early dinner. We were never disappointed. View of the Lake was beautiful.

Three stars but a relatively good three stars.
We sat outside and the restaurant was definitely somewhere between dirty and clean. Not too bad considering it was outside but the tables could have been wiped off a bit better.
There seemed to only be two waitresses, one who doubled as the bartender, and it was definitely noticeable during service. Everything took a while but not too long as to be excruciating. There were also a couple order messups, two of which being the people who got BLT salads had no bacon on their salads. The waitress did bring some sides of bacon after being notified.
I had the blackened catch of the day sandwich. It was really good, not the best blackening I’ve ever had but still solid, and the fish was very light and flakey. The baked potato on the side was also cooked properly. If I was rating just based on my food I would have given 4 stars.

Quinn was our server and he was friendly. My steak Oscar was P-​E-​R-​F-​E-​C-​T. My husband’s fried fish was good, not great.

Food and service were good. The food was not exceptional, but it was good. My dad had the wings and he said they were delicious. He said the She Crab Soup was good. I had the catch of the day sandwich. The fish was delicious though the bun was stale. The fries were good too. Our waitress was very nice and helpful. We were pleased with this visit.

This is the downstairs restaurant under «Larkins on the Lake». Sat outside on the dock/​patio on a sunny day and really enjoyed the Lake Lure scenery. Caesar Salad with sirloin steak topping was delicious. My wife’s Caesar Salmon was excellent. Our friend Liz said her favorite veggie burger was right on the money, per usual. French fries were extra good as were the frosty beers! Highly recommend Bayfront Bar & Grill for lunch and or early sunset dinners at Lake Lure, NC.
