A great try on a new cuisine! I would recommend a bunch of appetizers-they were perfect! Mediterranean type cuisine with great service! BYOB

Love this BYOB Turkish restaurant. Started with the hummus and babaganush, both freshly made and delicious. The Shepard salad is huge, we split 4 ways and all enjoyed. Had the Gyro, huge portion, served as lunch the next day. To finish off we had kunefe, if your having dessert you must try this, it takes about 5 minutes to bake and well worth it. The service was excellent, they guided us through the menu and made us feel welcome. Can’t wait to go back.

It was unbelievable time I had with my friends. All food perfectly cooked with flavor and served, the service was wonderful too. It is the best Turkish restaurant in metro area. If you like or want to try to have a Mediterranean food, I highly recommend to try Bosphorus.

I can’t say anything bad about this place. The food was delicious. My kids loved the Ezme. We had the lamb byeti, ribeye steak and chicken kebab. The portions were huge. The service and ambience was very nice as well. The servers were nice and attentive. The pricing was very reasonable for the portions of food. We definitely enjoyed our meal and would recommend this restaurant.

Small restaurant. The waiter Amir was great. Constantly over to make sure we had everything we needed and to give us a detailed description of things on the menu. I ordered the mixed appetizer with the grape leaves and the Shish Kabab as my entré. Some of the lamb cubes were very bloody and others were cooked to perfection. I have very mixed feelings about going back…

We’ve been here many times now & it’s consistently excellent. Everyone we’ve brought to this restaurant has agreed that their meat is the best of all the Turkish places in the area.

Loved it! We ordered a take out from this restaurant on a Saturday night and loved all their food. Shish kebab was juicy and had a little pink inside. Chicken anada was well seasoned and tasty. Enze spread had a little kick of spice to it and tasted great with pita bread. The portions are huge! One entrée and one appetizer is more than enough for 2 adults. The food was ready for the pick up in about 20 minutes. The restaurant itself looked very cozy. Next time I’m dining in!

I tried their lamb and chicken on skewers and they know how to get it right. Even the lamb was juicy, flavorful and not chewy at all which you don’t find anywhere easily unless it’s an expensive restaurant. Pros — excellent service, courteous staff, good food, ambience is not bad at all. Cons — there aren’t any! Things that can be improved– limited menu.

I stopped in Bosphorus passing through Parsippany on a Saturday. I walked in and was the only person there and the manager(I think) was training a new waitress. I ordered the Shish Kebab dish and was offered fresh Hummus while I waited.(not complimentary). However, the hummus was probably the best I have ever had.(so good, I ordered another to go after eating.) The décor is inviting, clean albeit for smaller groups. My dish came out promptly, a colorful plate of, rice & salad. Everything was absolutely delicious. And like the hummus, I ordered an additional take home plate since where I live there are not a lot of Mediterranean restaurants. Definitely recommended if you are in the area.

Came here with boyfriend on a fairly empty Sunday night– thus quick and attentive service. Ordered the fried goose liver and tabouli salad as appetizers, SO good. For the entrée, we ordered the combo of chicken and adana platter. The chicken was well-marinated and tender, and the adana was well-seasoned and tasty as well. Came with sides of rice, pickled veggies, and lettuce. The plate’s different flavors definitely complimented each other. Lastly, got some Turkish coffee which was made very well and balanced. Overall, flavors galore. Granted, the place is pretty small, but at least they are putting the money and effort into their food instead. Price for the entire meal was reasonable and worth what I paid. If you’re in the area and are craving Mediterranean, definitely check this place out!

This place has to be the best Turkish food ever and they make everything fresh so the taste is wonderful. Took my parents for their anniversary, they loved it and my father is very picky on food. But not this one he loved it, and the service is wonderful.

Ok let me set the record straight as I have been reading reviews of this restaurant. First of all our experience here was on a busy Saturday night and the service was excellent! We started with the Shepard salad and a mixed sampler of humus, baba, grape leaves, eggplant and cucumber/yogurt salad… All good but the Shepard salad was great! Fresh, flavorful And yummy. We had the mixed grille next. For those who think this was a small portion then you have a distorted view and a gluttonous pig. It was huge(fed 2 grown adults and a 4 year old). It consisted of lamb kebob, Adana kebob, gyro and a meatball… I have been to many many Turkish restaurants and this was the best lamb kabob(cubes) I have ever had. Tender and full of flavor it was amazing! Enjoy!

Let me try a Zagat for change(scores out of 30) Food: 23 Décor: 16 Service: 15 Overall, I love the food here, but the service is slow and the servers barely listen when you talk. But I keep returning for the amazing flavors that they have to offer. Great for vegetarians too! Décor has gotten better with the renovations, but not great. Cleanliness is supreme here, nothing to worry!

I went to Bosphorus last week for lunch with two of my coworkers. I am happy and excited to report that they new staff are great. They were friendly and helpful, and we received excellent service! I would not hesitate to return again in the future. Thank you to the owner, Mehmet!

Service quality has gone down quite a bit; food quality is average at best for the price. There’s better food to be had in Lake Hiawatha at a much lower price.

This is a Turkish restaurant. Food is great. California hummus is one of my favorites. Great kebob and falafel also very good. However. Service is weak. We had to ask repeatedly to get water after we sat down. Waiter was looking at his phone the entire time we were in the restaurant. Constantly texting. Even making calls. We had to beg for more water and eventually gave up and ordered soda, which he delivered in the can with a straw. No glass. If you are looking for decent food, this place will fit the bill. If you are looking for a dining«experience» look elsewhere.

One of my all time favorite restaurants. I LOVE their shepherd salad, with or without chicken, and the mixed grill is always superb. If you can wait up to 20 minutes all of their fresh fish is terrific too. Call ahead on weekends. Bring your own bottle(two liquor stores on Beverwyck Road, close by) and enjoy a superb meal.

My first visit and I was very impressed. I lived in Turkey while serving in the military and Turkish food is comfort food for me. As soon as we walked in the small dining room made me feel at home — it was just like the esnaf lokantasi I remember in Turkey. Some people may be a bit put off by the tight quarters, and you might want to call ahead in case they are busy. Personally I really liked the intimate atmosphere. Service was outstanding and appetizers and the main course came quickly and when we were ready. Pricing was very reasonable, especially with very generous portions. I started out with a small çoban salat(shepherd’s salad) which was a quite generous portion and very tasty. the cheese was out of this world. My main course was my favorite dish — İskender kebap. Again, a very generous portion and very satisfying. My girlfriend was having Turkish for the first time and started with a bowl of çacik and a mixed grill platter(Şiş, Adana kebap & köfte) The mixed grill platter was huge and perfectly seasoned. Dinner was followed with Turkish coffee that was perfectly made. The only thing I thought was missing was traditional Turkish bread(Ekmek). The bread is all pita, and while quite good, I would much rather have had warm ekmek with butter. I will be back whenever I get a craving for Turkish food — this was about the best I have had in the U.S. Lezzetli!

Small place w/a great menu of selections. My office always orders take out from here. The shepherd salad w/grilled chicken is excellent. It’s enough for 2 people and comes w/warm pita bread. When you go into the restaurant it’s deceiving. The plate they serve you in is small and no pita bread was given for each person. They do give pita and hummus to dip while you wait for your meal. I tried the Adina platter. It was okay. Adina means ground lamb. The lamb had flavor but the salad it comes with has no dressing.
