My new fav pizza place in town. Thin crust and great sauce. I’m super excited they have an app too. Downloaded it tonight and will only order from this place from now on. This place is much better than the one on Baldwin ave.

ok, so we’ve ordered at Avellino’s many times. The salads are ok even though they are very pricey. I feel like sometimes they over charge. we got dessert they said it was fresh and after it thawed(because it was frozen solid when we got it) it was actually ok.

Love this place. Great food great people. Had a pizza the mezzaluna it was soo good. The manager there is a nice lady very sweet and helpful. And the one driver that always comes to my house with the glasses very nice. Love this place!

It’s actually difficult to make a bad pizza in the Northern NJ area. Avellino’s somehow manages to do it. The sauce is way too sweet, and the overall flavoring really misses the mark. There are 2 – 3 better pizza places just on Beverwyck road itself. Avoid this place.

I’ve been here twice already. Customer service has been meh and food is OK… I’ll explain… I barged in one week night at about 9:15 and the woman there gave me the death stare. I had no idea what time they closed as I was starving and just looking for something to eat. Apparently they were closing at 9:30. I didn’t want to be a fussy customer so I just ordered the old looking pizza that was left on the counter. It was a white slice and a veggie rice ball. To my surprise they both were really good. The second time I was there the same woman was just hangin out watching TV. She looks like she just does not want to be bothered. I asked her a question about the desserts in the freezer and she was very short and not friendly at all. The guy behind the counter was very nice. I ordered a plain slice and a rice ball with meat this time. The pizza was OK, but I wouldn’t get the meat rice ball again. I’d like to give them another shot and try some other items. I’m also curious to see if this woman ever perks up a bit or if I’m always catching her on a bad day.

Sometimes I read reviews and wonder if people are writing about the same restaurant I am! How anyone can give this place five stars is beyond me. The pizza was greasy and nothing special at all. Maybe one step above frozen pizza. As for the food, it was absolutely tasteless with no semblance of taste or quality. We used to live in Wayne and NYC so we have been to many pizza places, and this one unfortunately is quite disappointing. Save your money and go somewhere else!

Here’s the deal. I’ve worked here became close friends with owners. Family man from! Italy loves making people happy and serving fresh food. The cheese and dough are made daily and weekly fresh on sight. Same goes for sauce. You order soup it’s made by order everything ordered is fresh ingredients imported from italy. The pricing is good idk why people have complained you get fresh food from an Italian place with an Italian heart idk what more people want from ordering out some place I really don’t.

We have eaten here and ordered from here, always just Pizza, always good. Last night we(my family of 5) ordered a Sicilian with extra cheese and half pepperoni, and two rice balls. I get a call back, no rice balls, okay make it a chicken parmigiana sandwich. My wife picked it up, got it home to find a Sicilian with onions. I called to get the order corrected, placed on hold, a unnamed womanpicks up and I am asked«Do you want a credit for your next order?» Well, no, I want a pizza so I can feed my family.” Let me check if we have dough. (NOTE this is the day of the town festival which is on the main st. Avellino’s is on and they have been selling food all day. But hey, you plan to have enough. This is your job, not a hobby…) She comes back on the phone«come on back, we will have it in 15 minutes.» On a hunch I checked the Chicken parmigiana, glad I did, as we got chicken tenders. I call back, kind of pissed now, let them know it is wrong and to make a sandwich. Wife gets there, food is ready, no apologies, despite now being two trips to pick up and dinner being 40 minutes later then planned. Whatever… Long day, maybe I am just hungry and tired. Pizza was good, worst chicken parmigiana sandwich I have ever had. The chicken was strips of a cutlet, very rubbery, and was incredibly bland tasting, the cheese was non existent. Last straw. We have 3 other pizza places on the same street and within half a mile. Some have better pizza, some don’t but they all have better customer service and better chicken parmigiana.

This place was a lifesaver and the food was amazing. I was staying at the Hilton and they were more than happy to deliver to me. They were extremely gracious over the phone and gave me no hassle about the delivery even though they aren’t technically in the same town it appears. I got a wrap, salad and wings(seems like a lot of food but being low-carb, you order what you can). It was around $ 23 for all of the food(not including the tip I gave the driver). The food was delicious. The wrap was bursting with flavor, the chicken was delicious and moist and there was plenty of mayo on the wrap without being too much. The salad was very fresh and the house dressing is a nice buttery balsamic, without that sharpness found in most dressings. As for the wings, I was amazed at the amount that I got. They were also really good. As far as I’m concerned, this is a definite win. It’s more food than I expected for the price and it was delicious.

The first two times I had pizza here I thought it was decent, but the third and fourth time-no so much. The crust was slightly underdone and there wasn’t nearly enough sauce and such a little amount of cheese I had a hard time pulling ANY of it away from the bread. It was pizza dough with flavor, not pizza. Less than one star people. Last night I ordered a BLT with grilled chicken wrap, which was good, BUT there was bacon on one side of the cut in two wrap but only one piece of bacon on the other. Crap. That’s what I ordered it for! I also had a salad, which I was really looking forward to and was SODISAPPOINTED. Not worth the money. The tomatoes, one of my favorite ingredients, weren’t tomato slice’s they were SKIN slices. Skin slices-really? No meat on the tomatoes-just the skin. WHOWOULDMAKE A SALADLIKETHAT??? The salad was also very small for the price. It didn’t look it from the size of the container but once you start eating you realize there isn’t anything to it. I would have taken it back since I live a mile up the street, but I can’t drive right now and I would’ve had to walk just to get a salad replacement. Not worth it. Also, the tiramisu was frozen solid and although it thawed quickly, it was just another disappointment. Now they don’t even have desserts. An empty case is all there is. I like their rendition of Chicken Noodle Soup. It’s good. But once I ordered it with a side of garlic bread and OMG. garlic bread really? Garlic powder and I think garlic salt w/bread but not garlic bread. I make the real thing, they don’t. When I ordered it w/the soup for 2.99 they didn’t give me the normal loaf that comes w/the soup. That may not seem like a big deal, but then again you didn’t taste the inedible garlic bread. So no edible bread with soup-an unforgivable sin in my book. Every time I order the soup and say on the phone-please put an extra piece of bread and charge me what you think-NADA. No extra bread, just the piece that comes with it anyway. SOVERYANNOYING. To get back to the order I was talking about– at a price of 24.50 plus the tip I gave for delivery, for a sandwich, a small salad with tomato skins and a very small frozen piece of tiramisu, it really wasn’t worth it. They are very nice and accommodating in person and on the phone, but I gave them WAY too many chances to get it right and there are too many other places in the area to spend my money here again. Get your pizza at Angelo’s, up the street. Until recently I had no idea they delivered. They do. Their pizza actually has cheese.
