Decided to give this place a try after reading Unilocal reviews. We called in a order to be picked up. I opted for 2 pieces of chicken, Cole slaw, potatoe wedge, and a biscuit. My husband had 2 pieces of chicken and 4 ribs, beans, fries and a biscuit. When we got home and opened the food it was soggy and gross. The chicken was mushy and had fallen apart. The fries were soggy and the biscuits were hard and dry. They gave no utensils or butter for the biscuits. $ 24.00 for food that went straight into the garbage. Not sure how they have so many stars on Unilocal but we won’t be back.

If you’ve never heard of broasted chicken, you have seriously been missing out in life. Basically, it’s really similar to fried chicken but way better. The point is that you’ve got to check out this little gem of a restaurant if you’re visiting Lake Havasu! Since it’s in the name, you have to order the broasted chicken. It comes out piping hot. The skin is perfectly crunchy and the meat is wonderfully moist. Also, the seasoning is great. I just hate it when the chicken turns out too salty. Whether you like dark or white meat, I’m sure you be pleasantly happy. In terms of sides, I definitely have to recommend the broasted potatoes. They are basically wedges, but a little heartier and tastier. Like the broasted chicken, the outside has a good crisp texture and the inside is super soft. I also tried the ribs here as well. They were pretty good. They were really tender and came off the bone really easily. But, their star dish is broasted chicken. I can’t recommend it enough! Enjoy! And I hope you won’t be disappointed!

Judge the food only and you can’t give anything less than 5 stars. We’ve been eating the broasted chicken and ribs since 1996 and have NEVER had a bad meal. The restaurant interior isn’t great but once the food hits the table, who cares! Service is always good even if there’s a line, which is often. The employees always hustle and do their best to make the customer happy. When in Lake Havasu this place is a must visit!

Scotty’s Broasted Chicken & Ribs has the best broasted chicken I’ve ever eaten and the ribs are a contender for being the best ribs I have had. If you’re eating the broasted chicken make sure that you ask for the gunslinger sauce. I have tried their other menu items and have been disappointed every time. Stick to the chicken and ribs because that’s what they do best.

Really good chicken. Nice sides. We have eaten here a couple times. The restaurant could use a bit of updating, but the service is friendly and prompt. I am sure we will return

We miss Scotties… in Kingman. They are no longer there so we have to come to LHC to have their great Chicken and Potatoes… the only draw back is the only use plastic and paper products.

Five stars for the chicken. Another five for the fall-off-the-bone ribs. Five more for the biscuits, corn, and slaw. And they have fried Twinkies in case you’re feeling silly. Seriously, this place is great. The food is cooked to order, so bring your patience; it is more than worth the wait. The ambiance defines friendly casual, but be prepared for a sense that you’re having a picnic: plastic ware and all. No snobs need stop in, but real folks will love it.

Food is really good but for fried chicken it’s pretty expensive so that’s why I gave it a 3 star! People are nice that work there ok service!

We were looking for something different than a «chain» restaurant while visiting Lake Havasu this week and we decided to try Scotty’s. We ordered the 8 piece family meal(white meat), a half rack of ribs, and a half order of fried zucchini. The order pickup time was 20 min and it was just being packaged up when we arrived. The person helping us asked us if we needed utensils and was happy to provide them for us. Every part of our meal was delicious but the broasted chicken was the star of the show. Huge pieces of chicken that were hot and crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The ribs were good but I will stick to the chicken on our next visit.
Reminded me of southern fried chicken!

We’ve been longtime customers of Scottie’s, it’s a family favorite and we stop in whenever we’re in town. We LOVE the chicken and biscuits and the service is always great. We ordered to-go for dinner tonight and we’re disappointed to learn that they’ve switched from the best biscuits ever to ordinary Hawaiian rolls. Dinner was delicious as usual, but PLEASE bring the biscuits back!

Wanted to try something local. Ordered a full rack of ribs and family chicken meal. They cooked the chicken fresh for us, good but a little salty. The ribs were delicious, tender and falling off the bones. Coleslaw very green and mild in flavor. It took a while but I figure it was because of the them frying up the chicken fresh and we were not in a hurry. Good spot for chicken and ribs!

Haven’t been here in years but still Amazing! Had the chicken and ribs combo with mashed potatoes and macaroni salad. Everything was perfect and so flavorful. We ordered to go and was pretty quick plus the staff was very friendly and chatted with us while we waited. We left with a big smile and now have full tummys. Thank you we WILL be back soon!

Haven’t been to Scotty’s in a while and was dying for some bites and fries. We ordered 2 orders of bites and fries, a kids meal which was chicken strips and a large side of mac and cheese. There was less than a small hand full of fries in each box(I am being generous with this guess) and I paid almost 6 bucks for a pint of what was obviously Kraft’s mac and cheese straight from the box(That probably cost them 99 cents?). It was dry and I was not about to let my family eat it. My sons chicken was limp and soggy… it was all so disgusting and disappointing. Absolutely not the Scotty’s I remember and I won’t be going back.

Thanks to the wonderful Unilocalers here that I had decided to try this place out. As a shop in a tiny plaza and in a area I am unfamiliar with, it would never had alerted me to drop in. My husband and friends gave me this wierd look saying, «um…theres barely anyone here, it looks empty and it looks like a little shack out of nowhere». I insisted and besides, they just barely opened, I said. Well to the food: Their chicken was delicious and flavorful. The spuds(potatoes) were ok and not as flavorful, but I wasn’t here for the spuds. The macaroni salad was ok and would have rather ordered the biscuits.(minus ½ points) parking was plenty. Food took awhile to arrive but they have this menu like thing at your table which was a riddle/question guessing game etc on there. Like a newsletter/paper. We were there to relax and enjoy our time with friends, so this not only side tracked us from the long wait, it really makes us learn to relax but as busy people we are all nowadays, I still have to(minus ½ point on that one) The service was great. Tip: Check out their website for discounts and coupons. I had printed out a free drink coupon which I had left at home. They were nice to honor it from my phone. Eco-friendly and reasonable staff!

The search nearby feature on the Unilocal mobile app strikes again! This place came up as one of about 10 restaurants that were really close to me. I think what got me was the chicken and ribs part along with the 4 star average rating so off I went! As I come in, I am greeted by a very nice lady by the name of Sherry. Remember her name folks, because if she she is the one who becomes your main server, you are in very good hands. I tell her that it was my first time. She smiles, hands me a to go menu for better reading and says to take my time. After going over the menu and realizing just how many good choices there are, I said I was gonna need more than a minute to decide. Again, she politely says no worries and to let her know when I was ready. I decided to go with the 2 Piece Chicken n 3 Rib Combo for 11.99. Comes with Broasted Potatoes, a Biscuit, and your choice of Cole Slaw, Potato Salad, Baked Beans, 3 Bean Salad, or Macaroni Salad. I went with the Potato Salad. I pay and make my way to my table. Now remember, they make your order fresh so you have to wait for a bit. I recommend that you not be in be in a rush if you plan on eating here. The chicken itself was really good. Crispy and crunchy on the outside while soft and juicy on the inside. As I chewed the outer crunchy portion of it, I can verify that the grease was almost non existent. The broasted potatoes were good too in similar fashion. The ribs? It was kind of a disappointment. It was kind of fatty and did not have much flavor except for the barbeque sauce that was poured on it. The biscuit and the potato salad were very good. Since monday and tuesday are designated as Chicken n Ribs combo day, it was a dollar off. Now for the service. Pay real close attention or you will not understand what im about to tell you. Like I mentioned earlier, Sherry up front took my order and also brought it out when it was done. A few minutes later as I was eating my meal, she came around and asked if I needed anything, especially a refill on my diet pepsi. I said not at the moment and she went back to the front. All the while, customers are steadily streaming into the restaurant putting their orders in. It was at point that I realized that Sherry was a really good server because the lady that took her spot was going around handing out every body’s finished order while asking everybody else that was already eating if they needed anything. Thats when I noticed she didnt even bother to look in my direction. Only when i ran out of soda was when I needed their attention. Again several minutes later that same lady did the same thing and did not bother to look in my direction. This time I said excuse me as she walked by so she finally talked to me. She grabbed my cup to go get a refill. After several minutes, I saw Sherry bringing out orders so I asked her about my refill. She came back with it promptly. I assume that they both helped each other out by switching back and forth from the front to bringing the food out. I thought that was an efficient way of handling customers unless you are the one that is ignored. Maybe it was the table I sat at which was number 8. Maybe that other lady thought I didnt need anything since I got there. Maybe…*Gasp…she was racist. Now I know that sounds ridiculous but if you saw a server go around the whole entire room asking every body if they were ok TWICE without even looking in your direction until you literally had to say excuse me, then it should make you wonder. Since this was happening, I just had to take a look at alll of the customers all around the room. Everybody there was all caucasian including the two servers. Coincidence? I hope for that lady’s sake it was because it all seemd surreal at that time. Finally as I finished my meal, I sat there wondering how im gonna stay awake to make that 2 and a half hour trip back to Vegas with a full stomach. Sherry sees me in deep thought and I explain what I just mentioned. So she comes back with about 4 lollipops and some toothpicks. Now if she was my server the whole time, I would have been ecstatic. To show my gratitude, I put 5 bucks on the table as I left. I hope Sherry gets that tip and not the other lady. The only tip she should get is to read Dr Martin Luther King’s famous«I have a dream» speech. Sure, I am looking forward to my next visit for the seafood section of their menu looks awesome not to mention the sides. Hopefully, it will be Sherry serving me the whole time and if not, then at least the other lady will have understood the Dr King speech by then I hope.
