Mario’s Italian Restaurant & Lounge

So happy we tried this place! In Havasu, we always seem to hit our regular spots but I really wanted Italian. This restaurant has super friendly people, great food at reasonable prices, and a charming neighborhood resaturant feel. As others have mentioned, large portions with AYCE salad and breadsticks. Service was excellent and server ensured we always had our drinks filled and we were satisfied with our food. Some of meals we ordered were spagetti with meatballs, chicken parm, and chicken cannelloni.

Unilocal came through again. Our group of 6 was on vacation and looking for a great place for dinner. Mario’s turned out to provide one of the best Italian meals we’ve ever had. Recommend to anyone!

I came here with my parents and our family friends while visiting Havasu. My parents claim this is probably the nicest restaurant in town, and I would have to say, they’re probably not wrong. All entrees come with salad and breadsticks. The salad is amazing. The breadsticks are great. As an appetizer you can also get cheesy breadsticks. Definately order that. I don’t know what I was expecting, but the breadsticks were smothered in cheese. I had the cheese ravioli. It was alright. I guess what makes this place special is the people who work here. Our family friend ordered meat sauce for his pasta and it came out with «pink sauce» which I guess is a combo of marinara and pesto. He’s not one to complain so even though he wasn’t happy with it, he didn’t want our waiter to exchange it. Our waiter was insistent on trying to correct it, and get the right meal, that even after our friend refused, they brought him a new plate of pasta with the meat sauce. They said they didn’t want to see him walk away unhappy. That’s awesome customer service.

Wow, didn’t expect such a delicious Italian meal right on Lake Havasu. Definitely a breath of fresh air compared to what else is offered around the London Bridge area. Highly recommend the chicken carbonara! My wife’s fettuccine alfredo was very delish as well! The breadsticks were off the chain! Probably my fave thing there and they are unlimited with the meal.

Read the reviews and had to try this place, it lived up to the billing. COMING FROM NEW YORK we’re particular about our Italian food, and this restaurant could be on Mott street in NYC and make it. The Calamari was perfect, the salad was great, and the Veal Parm was as advertised. The sauce was excellent and the bread sticks great for dipping. On top of all this the service was top notch, I will be back next time I’m in town.

It is located right across from the Days Inn, so if you stay at Days Inn, just walk across the street and enter through the «back door.»
The veal Parmesan was yummy.
The «unlimited breadsticks» seemed as if there was «de facto» limit, as they were served on stick at a time. It was hard to get ahold of the waitress to get more. The breadsticks tasted very nice with the oil&vinegar dip.
It came with a choice of pasta, I chose fettuccini. The red sauce could use a little more flavor, so maybe next time I will ask for some red pepper.
It is a little pricey if you order one of the more expensive items like the veal, but they have items that are more affordable as well.
The place does not look inviting from the outside, but don’t let that discourage you. The dining options in that area are somewhat limited, so eat here if you are in the area.
Next time I’m in town, this is where I will have dinner.

Service was great, food excellent. They were able to accommodate our party of ten. I’m so glad we came here, this will be a place we come back to the next time we pass by.

So last night the wife and I decided we would celebrate Valentine’s day a day early since we had a sitter for the kids very rare when that happens so off to dinner we go… we ended up deciding on Mario’s since I had heard quite a few awesome reviews and the wife and I love our italian like a fat kid loves cake… so we arrive and obviously Saturday night place is packed we end up deciding to sit at the bar which w as actually nice to do…
We get our drink orders and meal orders in pretty quickly since we had a party to attend after we had dinner so appetizers show up I ordered the calamari which was mediocre at best wasn’t horrible wasn’t what 8 was used to and seeing headless deep fried little squid on your plate is always entertaining so close to 45 minutes goes by and our entrees have to arrive the bartender/​waiter says I’m gonna go check on your order… well the manager comes up to us next and apologize s for some ticket printer order and that our food hadn’t been cooked yet but they were on it and it should be out soon even offered to comp some adult beverages which my wife took advantage of and got a glass of wine… so meals finally arrive and my wife’s steak is cooked to order and my chicken parmigian… garbage… I think in a rush they used three chicken tenderloins pounded them out seasoned then cover with marinara and mozzarella… I don’t know maybe and off night ate the chicken had about 3 bites of the pasta and was just done at this point … I understand places get busy but don’t sacrifice your reputation by making a poor meal… maybe it was and off night I am hoping so the place was busier as all hell and I am willing to give it another shot… an other review to follow in the future.

We chose this restaurant based on posted reviews. When we pulled up we almost drove away — not a good first impression based on the exterior property of the restaurant. We decided to give it a try anyway and so glad we did! Old school family style Italian and it’s delicious! I ordered the chicken parm and my husband who is on a diet ordered from the «lighter side» menu which included chicken and fresh veggies. Our kids had the pizza and cheese ravioli. Our bellies were full with generous portions and yummy breadsticks on the side. Service and food were great! Thumbs up!

Had dinner last night at Mario’s (AGAIN)! This place never fails to please. Have lost track of the number of times we’ve eaten here.
It’s not your typical chain restaurant located on the Main Drag… You really have to know where this place is to find it and many people do. We have never been there and not found the place near full 15 minutes after opening which is at 4 p.m.
The food is always served hot and fresh so if you think the service is a bit slow it might be because their cooking it especially for you.
Mario’s is this local’s #1 place for Italian.

Good food prompt service and great portion sizes. I ordered chicken parmigian and it came with bread, dipping oil, and a nice salad. All for $ 14. The atmosphere is a perfect little Italy music and all.

Hands down the best food in Havasu. My husband love their clams in red sauce and my favorite is the lasagna. Huge portions, and great service.

Had reservations for 12 @ 7pm on on Saturday, table was ready right when we go there. First impression was great, big smiles from the staff when we all walk in, bar was hoppin, smells were great & our table looked lovely. Service was top notch (wish I knew the tall gentleman’s name) as they took our drink order the minute we all sat down… Soft warm bread & herbed olive oil/​balsamic was delivered to the table right away & absolutely delicious!!! Salad was fantastic and perfect in every way. Most ordered their signature Ribeye on the opening page… not one error, mistake or poorly prepared anything!!! 12 perfect meals plus cocktails & bottles of wine!!! Thank you for making our dinner with friends one to remember!!!

Not bad, but not spectacular. Salad was over-​coated in dressing (and not so tasty), breadsticks were alright for a processed/​bake and serve product. Portion sizes were generous for the price. No wait time for a table because we called ahead, but wait time for food was a little excessive. Wait staff was polite but too rushed, things like splashing water and knocking silverware off tables don’t happen as much if you just slow down by half a second.

The spinach cheese ravioli, spaghetti n meatballs are delicious, salads are fresh n yummy. Save room for dessert! What a great place for dinner!

EXCELLENT! ! The bottomless breadsticks and salad are great! The breadsticks are soft and flavorful and the dipping sauce is perfect! I had the chicken picatta and my husband had the chicken Alfredo. The dishes are huge! My pasta was so flavorful and delicious. His chicken was grilled and the sauce was amazing. Will DEFINITELY be back!

Very friendly service and great Classic Italian dishes. Felt like an east coast restaurant and that is coming from a Philly boy!

We asked ourselves this question as we were eating our unlimited breadsticks and salad the other night.
It had been a while since our last visit. … we forgot how much we liked it!
Our dinner was great… good spaghetti, salad and breadsticks!
We also had a coupon for a free appetizer… the spinach artichoke dip was great! They serve it was fresh made garlic bread and it was awesome!
We had great service. Everyone was very friendly and even thanked us for coming in for dinner!
Good food and friendly service… easy to recommend!

We have been coming to Lake Havasu for many years and I have been wanting to come here.
So glad that we did, the Chicken Parmigiano is excellent!
The large shared salad was so good I couldn’t get enough of it, the bread sticks are good also.
I tried the White Sangria, which is blue is very large with ice and very tasty.
Overall we liked everything about Mario’s and we will be back for sure!
Prices are very reasonable!
