Bel’lago

There was a fire place and a guy playing the piano. Warm friendly service. Food was really good. Interesting dishes to choose from. Would go again in a heartbeat.

While staying at the Split Rock Resort we thought we found a potentially good Italian restaurant in Bel’lago. We called an made a reservation for 8:00pm on a Saturday night. When we arrived to the restaurant of the 15 or so tables only 2 were filled but the rest just needed to be cleaned off. The place was pretty dead. The hostess said for us to have a seat and she would seat us shortly. 15 minutes later we were finally seated. We ordered 2 appetizers one of which the waitress noted that they were out of the prior week!?! But that she would check to see if they had any of tonight. She then came back to take our dinner order (made no mention of whether or not had the appetizer in question). Our dinner salads arrive and I asked whether our apps were coming and whether or not they had the missing app. She replied that she forgot to tell us that they didn’t have any of the app and if we’d like to order something else to which I said no now that the dinner salads had beat the app to the table that we’d pass. App arrived w/​our entrees (this would be the last time we saw our waitress). Food was ok not too bad. We finished our meal and waited for a check for about 20 minutes before I decided to go the the hostess stand to see if we could get our check and end this experience. Paid the check gathered up my family and will never return to Bel’lago. Ok food unacceptable customer service!!!

This restaurant was out of multiple cuts of steak and all veal on their menu leaving processed chicken, shrimp or pasta options. The Caesar salad bowl was the size of a normal side salad. The soup was tasteless. Try somewhere else.
