Pay attention! There nothing like going to a good bar having good food at reasonable prices. BUTWAIT, how about going to a great bar with great food at reasonable price, WOWWHATANEASYCONCEPT. Everyone that follows me please visit this place it’s the gold standard for a great pub experience we got lucky with a live sciatic acoustic guitar artist playing during dinner. Now about the food: Mozzarella stix AWSOME Brie with cranberries on toast RIDICULOUS Clams And the rest of the food was delicious Can’t wait to go back

While on a business trip I had the pleasure to go to Garrisons. This place is off the beaten path and I consider it a local hang out. But that is no problem. I was welcomed here by the hostess and bar patrons. The craft beer selection is out of this world. Cold and tasty! The atmosphere is just wonderful as a live band was playing. It was not over powering and we could still have a conversation without yelling. We were talking with others, trading stories, it is just a fun place. I ordered the soup of the day which was scrumptious and the chicken parm. The chicken was done to perfection, however the small portion of pasta was disappointing and dry with little tomato sauce. But with the beer, the soup and the people there, I would definitely return.

The Garrison is seriously one of the best places in LG. From sitting outside for lunch, inside for dinner, or at the bar for drinks, I’ve taken many a trip here and enjoyed them all! When it’s crowded, it can be a tiny bit slow, but it is a really fun atmosphere so I’ve never minded waiting. The burgers here are really good.

We went here on our last night in Lake George based on the Unilocal reviews that we read. The food and prices looked good, so we decided to go. Being that my girlfriend and I are both craft beer fans, we were disappointed to find that they only had 2 – 3 craft beers on tap — not a big deal. We ordered our food and my girlfriend was severely disappointed in the salad that she ordered. The«grilled» eggplant was not fresh at all; rather it was cold and seemed to be a few days old. The shrimp in her salad was not fresh at all either. We did not bother sending the salad back since she ate the other half of my sandwich, which was actually pretty good. All in all, we didn’t have a horrific experience. But the next time we’re up in Lake George, I don’t think we’re going to rush back here.

My husband and I ordered a bunch of appetizers for our meal(nachos, pizza rolls and the hot dogs) and everything tastes great. I would definitely go back again. Was disappointed they have a full bar but no cocktail menu. I like to order specialty cocktails and I don’t have a go-to drink so I had soda instead. It’s a relaxed, casual setting, shirts and shorts are ok, they also had some college football games going on the TVs.

Never expected too much from a pub but had higher expectations since it had good ratings. The stars are for the friendly staff and excellent service. No stars for the food. Mac and cheese made from penne pasta, way too greasy and the cheese was just baked on it, not the typical gooey yellow mac and cheese. The steak tacos were way too dry, the edges of the soft shell tacos were also dried, I had to rip them off. Fries were good, but it would be very sad if you messed up fries. We had a very friendly waitress but sadly the food she was serving just wasn’t very good.

A descent place among the not very good. We came for dinner and drinks. My son had the Mac and cheese, which he really enjoyed. My husband had the nachos, which except for the use of a Velveeta type cheese were pretty edible. If you order these ask for real cheese. whatever they used was not yummy. As a vegetarian who had had my cheese portion for the day in spades, I was left with only a salad to order. The venue is a nice family place, especially outside. It is off the main drag which for us was a relief. It felt more like a local spot than a touristy joint. I am a fan really for this reason. The service was prompt, friendly and thorough. Overall we were very surprised to find that the food in general in Lake George goes from mediocre to bad. Food quality does not seem to be a priority for a lot of these places. There are very few vegetarian options anywhere. I would seriously hate to be a vegan or Gluten free here, you would really be out of luck. Farm to table has not made it to Lake George yet. We were exceptionally disappointed given the long robust tourist history of this town and area. Any restaurant, it seems to me, who stepped up their game would instantly see a huge benefit.

I recently spent a week in the area and this was my favorite meal. It’s located off the beaten path and seems more of a locals type place. The menu features some interesting fair compared to most of the places I visited while in the area. For me the stand out was the baked Brie appetizer. It was sweet savory and bold. They have 15 beers on tap that rotate. Also of note is their happy hour specials. I had a $ 4 Moscow mule that was made with a heavy hand. No complaint here even if it wasn’t served in a copper mug. I doubt you’ll find one better in the area. For my entrée I went with the fish and chips. The fish was HUGE! It was also perfectly crispy and fresh along with the fries. If in the area again I think I would frequent this place more then I did this time around.

Great local bar and grill on the outskirts of Lake George. Happy Hour 3 – 5 with plenty of beer specials and bites to satisfy any hungry hiker. The filet sliders were awesome and the service was great.

Clams were fresh and flavorful with shaved cheese on top. Had their koom specialty sandwich. Must try this. Fries would be better fresh

The food here is pretty good, but it comes up extremely short in several key areas: 1) they advertise their meals with«chips and a pickle,» but they seriously serve you a pickle slice. Not a half pickle, not a wedge, a friggin slice. They serve you a 50¢ piece-size piece of pickle, and have the nerve to claim they serve their burgers with a pickle. What a crock… 2) their chicken wings are good, but they don’t listen to when you ask for them crispy. As someone who doesn’t favor veiny sinew surrounded by fatty skin, asking for crispy wings is extra important. I’d love to see that they care somewhat that I requested them crispy, and yet, after ordering them crispy, my wings came out close to undercooked. Unacceptable. Maybe the Garrison thrives on the fact that it’s an OK restaurant in a town of fried dough, popcorn and karaōke, but it falls seriously short of its reputation.

Modest sized menu. Clean open space. Good food and service. Second visit during our vacation. Chicken parm, lobster boat, hot dogs, fries and chicken Caesar salad — no complaints. Nice outside dining area as well. Kid friendly but still a local vibe.

Excellent pub food and service with a nice outdoor patio. We had two orders of wings: Garlic Parm and Tia Chili and they were some of the best we have ever had. Also my daughter had the homemade Mac n Cheese and said it was great. The burgers are huge and delicious. Great selection of cold draft beer also. Food was quick and service excellent. They also have a nice patio. We will go back on our next trip back to LG!
