My boyfriend ad I were driving around Lake George looking for a place to eat after a day of Kayaking. This place caught our eye so we decided to give it a try. The food was very tasty and the service was good. Our food came out very promptly. We had an appetizer of nachos which were good but I have definitely had better. After five minutes the nachos were soggy, I prefer mine crunchy! As a meal I got the Adirondack Salad which was very good and filling. The tangy honey mustard dressing was delicious. I would love to buy a bottle of it! Overall it was a good experience and I would go again.

Good beer. I like good beer. I like a sampler. I got a sampler. I enjoyed 4 out of the 6. The two I didn’t like are ones I usually don’t like. The side salad could be a little bigger. I had baked seafood sampler. It was yummy. Drew likes beer.

I don’t know much about Lake George as a destination. I mean, I knew OF it as a destination, but I don’t know much about its cultural and popular significance. To me it looks like a great place to be forced to go to as a young teenager who follows his own rules, only to run afoul of a bunch of jocks and to outwit them in a creative foot-chase manner a la Airborne or some other teen movie. There’s probably a wallflowery girl in there turned into Super Pretty Queen of the Funland Arcade halfway through the second act, and a quirky sidekick, and I’m sure this all has a bittersweet parting by the end of the film after the lone wolf lead wins the rollerblade race. Anyway, my wife and I were on our way to scout or «flee the country if Trump wins» route to Montréal(and spend a week eating our way through the city) and planned a stop en route in the Lake George area. Our hotel was in Warrensburg, a few minutes north, and in looking for a place to eat, we realized how much our food nerd sensibilities would be challenged. Sure, we could eat, but could we eat something really interesting? Failing that, is the beer good? Okay, let’s throw it down here: whoever said a few reviews ago that the beer was too weak needs to be run off the road by a crowd of rollerblading teenagers having a third-act-of-a-teen-movie rollerblade race. Adirondack brews ‘em and serves them with gusto. I got the sampler. Yes, they pick three beers for you by default. No, you can’t substitute them. Holy crap, guys, we get to try different beers. That is a good thing! Never a bad thing! They give you a decent wheat IPA(and that says a lot — I am NOT a fan of IPAs), an American lager that actually isn’t pisswater and has a nicely balanced palate and hop profile, and a coppery ale that had a nice body to it. I picked their peanut butter porter, Tangerine Dream — a tangerine lighter-body drinkable beer that my wife, who is not a beer drinker, really liked — and a barrel reserve, a beer aged in rum casks. My only complaint was the latter — a good single malt in a sherry or bourbon cask will exhibit the characteristics of the rum and be supported by the cask liquor. The barrel reserve ale was«wow, this is rum that has a beery feel» and really overwhelmed. Maybe it’s just me, but of the six, I disliked that the most. To the food. I was kinda peckish and am a lightweight, so I figured we needed something for the beer. My wife is a very light eater. We tossed a coin between fried calamari and fried cheese curds. Wanting to save my cheese intake for the inevitable, glorious poutine, we went calamari. Okay, you know what? It was not bad. Nothing to write home about — the best fried calamari is served in the Portuguese restaurants in Newark, NJ, and if you disagree you are welcome to fly to Newark and buy me some calamari to taste fight — but the batter was a proper and crunchy one, peppery and flavorful. Milady ordered a chicken avocado BLT, I initially went after the paella burger. It was sold out. This is a Sign with a capital S to me. It is Saturday night, the town is busy and about to be packed for Memorial Day weekend. You’re famous for this burger. I was so disappointed by its absence. By reflex, I went for the cedar plank salmon. That at least came with a choice of sides — I went for a cup of the clam chowder and regular old fries. I HAVENOTHADBETTERCLAMCHOWDEROUTSIDEOFSOMEPLACESINNEWENGLAND. Listen to me, and listen well. Get the clam chowder here. Alter your plans, alter your tastes, alter space-time if you have to. Get it. They do it properly. –The clams are chopped by hand — they have nice varying sizes. –They use actual bacon to cook everything up first and foremost, such that it permeates the dish. –Fresh herbs are used — you can see them if you look carefully. As to mains, the chicken avocado BLT was just that — a chicken avocado BLT. White meat, seasoned, grilled. Not good, not bad. The bacon was nice and thick, but the avocado could have been more plentiful. She got sweet potato fries instead of normal, and they did them well. The raspberry dipping sauce was a WONDERFUL switch from ketchup. My plank salmon… eh. I tasted no cedar in the fish, it was underseasoned, and it was overcooked. It didn’t flake, it just kinda mashed apart. We didn’t opt for the dessert but they had table-grilled S’mores. Oh my. This is a very solid 3 out of 5. I can’t say if they’re 5 out of 5, because they weren’t absolute and total perfection. Minus one star for the poorly prepared salmon, minus another for not having one of their signature dishes — which, to be honest, sounded really original and creative, and I was disappointed in its being unavailable. I would go here again, though. It was nice to sit outside and sip six different beers that were made onsite on a nice evening in early summer. Not a bad try for a family or foodie dinner.

All did not start well here on this visit. After a friendly greeting by the hostess and being taken to our table and given menus, no one came to wait on us for over 10 minutes. There was a server’s station between our table and another table that had a party of three. Staff came several times to pick things up like napkins from that station, but never stopped at our table. Meals were being brought by staff to that other table, but no one was checking in our table. I finally got up, went to the hostess station, and told one of the staff that we were being overlooked by the servers. She said she would let someone know and I returned to our table and said to my wife that they are now going to have to work very hard to earn any stars that I might give. Mathew C. quickly came to the rescue with glasses of water, an outgoing and welcoming personality, and the astute awareness that we probably knew by now what we wanted to drink. However, as we inquired about ordering a Sampler of beers and pointed to the blackboard hung near our table with a listing of brews, he quickly instructed us to ignore the blackboard because it was not current and to use the laminated, printed listing on our table. It became apparent that the blackboard had not been updated in a very long time, because some of the brews were in fact currently available, but by a different name on the printed menu. So a Sampler($ 9.99) indeed is what we started with. The Sampler consists of six, 5 oz. glasses, with the Pub specifying three of the choices and the customer selecting the other three. The Pub’s three are the Dirty Blond, the Bobcat Blond, and the Bear Naked. To those we added our three, the Black Watch IPA, the Dark Legends Double Oatmeal Stout, and the bourbon barrel Brewer’s Reserve. The Dirty Blond is an excellent Summer drinking beer. It’s light in consistency yet still has flavor. The Bobcat Blond had little to no flavor by itself, but was excellent with our Poutine. The Bear Naked was nice and creamy, excellent flavor, and ended up being my wife’s choice for a pint with her burger. The Black Watch was a dark IPA that was not overly hoppy. The Dark Legends was my choice for an additional 10 oz. to accompany my burger. The Brewer’s Reserve smelled and tasted like the bourbon barrels it was stored in. It was more of a sitting by the fireplace and sipping beer. Certainly not to be fully appreciated on a day like we were having with the temperature in the 70s outside. For an appetizer while we worked our way through the Sampler, I couldn’t pass on the Poutine($ 10.99). Waffle fries layered with a three cheese blend of Monterey Jack, sharp Cheddar, and Swiss. All was smothered in a delicious and rich brown gravy and topped with crisp onion rings and sautéed scallions. This was truly delicious and large enough to have served three or four people. The stars were now starting to build. My wife chose the Asian Burger($ 12.99 on the menu, but $ 10.99 on our bill) and added Onion Rings(plus $ 2.99) instead of their beer battered fries. It was served close to the requested medium-rare, topped with an Asian slaw consisting of Napa cabbage, yellow and green bell peppers, Serrano peppers, carrots, and scallions, that was tossed in a sesame ginger sauce. The bun was nice and fresh, and the slaw gave both additional crunch and flavor to a nicely grilled 8 oz. beef patty. The bell peppers could have been sliced smaller. I was intrigued with the offering of a Paella Burger($ 14.99). Described as being made with ground chorizo and chopped shrimp, it just sounded too unique to be passed by. It was topped with caramelized onion, arugula, and roasted red pepper aioli. This was truly a show stopper for me. I would order this again at the drop of a hat. The chorizo flavor was delicious and only lightly spicy for my taste buds. The chunks of shrimp added both texture and flavor with each bite. I think we just added another star! There were a few additional hic cups with our dining experience. We were told the computers had acted up and my wife’s order had to be resubmitted. But Mathew kept us constantly updated so we never again felt abandoned. There was also the matter of my burger coming out from the kitchen with the optional onion rings instead of my requested Eggplant Fries. This was immediately rectified when I pointed it out to our server. Those Eggplant Fries were pretty darn good. Served with a marinara sauce, they were topped with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar and shaved Parmesan cheese. I had earlier alluded to the astuteness of our server. Having become aware of my preference for dark beers, he momentarily took a seat at our table to describe a twelve-pack of bottled beers that they were offering called their High Gravity Mix Pack($ 21). Consisting of four different brews with an abv of between 8.5% and 10.3%, these included the Dark Legends that I had been drinking and three others. Needless to say, we purchased a pack. Star #4!

Not a beer drinker, but I really enjoyed the Adirondack Pub & Brewery. My husband and I were in Lake George for the day and in need of sustenance(and in his case, some beer) so we stopped in. Having never been here before, we were both pleased. I was less than impressed with the check in process. There is very little(and by that I mean practically none) room to wait. There were maybe six people waiting to be seated, and we were all on top of each other with nowhere to go. We were told we’d be seated in about 10 minutes. 10 minutes came and went. But two seats opened up at the bar so we decided to just eat there. Problem solved. As previously mentioned, husband was in need of drinks so he ordered some beer and was very pleased with it. I have no idea what he ordered, but he was happy with it. The bartender was very friendly and attentive. I ordered New England Clam Chowder for an app and it might just be my favorite clam chowder. It was perfect! My only complaint was that I only ordered a cup and not a bowl, but that’s obviously my fault and not that of the restaurant. Next time I go back I think I’ll get a bowl for my meal. In fact, writing this makes me want to have more right now. Anyway, for a meal, I ordered a chicken avocado BLT and he got a bacon cheddar burger. We were both very pleased with our meals. Both came with fries and mmmmm those were good. Perfectly crispy and perfectly seasoned. REALLY good. I want more of those now, too. Of course I had to get dessert. After much contemplation I settled on the apple crisp. It was very very good and very very large. I look forward to getting the chocolate cake next time. He and I are looking forward to going back to the brewery next time we are in Lake George. I imagine we might even make the trip just to go there. I’d definitely recommend!

Love The Beer Food is pretty good. Love the beer. Back in 2014 I had this oatmeal stout that was hands down the best new I ever had. Sneak in around 12pm on a weekday when it’s not crowded and quiet. Bartenders are always friendly and knowledgeable.

Bland food and weak beer. Mostly forgettable except for the unforgivable sin of having predetermined beer samplers. If you’re going to brew your own beer and charge for a flight of samples, why on earth would you not let people sample all of your beer?

We had the beer sampler, and of the 6 we tried, most were very good. My favorite was the stout. The spinach and artichoke dip was very good as well. I had the seafood pasta toss, and that wasn’t so great. The sauce was more like broth, and the seafood in it wasn’t so tasty either. Otherwise, it was a decent meal and I’d go back for the beer if I go back to that part of town again.

Struggling with this rating because to me it’s more like 3 and ½ stars. Let me start off by saying that our server was fantastic. She was knowledgeable, sweet, and talkative without being overbearing. We had trouble picking beers so she suggested the sampler which I had not known they offered. I would recommend this option to others since I ended up liking a beer I don’t think I would have gotten otherwise. The food was good, but nothing great. We got two sandwiches: the buffalo chicken and the pulled pork. Fries were pretty good — they had that«coating» texture. Something that struck me as odd was the menu we got was an abbreviated version of the one we saw online. Perhaps it was because we went in the afternoon. On the way out I noticed a catering/takeout menu which had many more options. Extra points for being open when not many other places in the area were. We had originally wanted to eat on the water but we couldn’t find a place that was open. Would I go back here? Yes — good service, decent food, decent beer, and very cute décor. Also have a cute little gift shop. However, if I was back in the area, I think I’d want to try another place first before returning here.

My wife and I wanted to try a new brew pub. Typically, you can’t go wrong with a place that makes its own beer! There was an Oktoberfest party earlier in the day so we decided to order their Oktoberfest beer and a Vienna Lager. Both beers were fine, nothing worth writing home about… for an appetizer we ordered the spinach and artichoke dip. Both plates came out filthy! The waitress was quick to replace them with clean plates, but as soon as we started eating the dip, we noticed the chips were very stale– VERY stale. For entrees, we were easy– we both ordered the bacon cheddar burger with a side salad. The burger was average, and the side salads never came(after mentioning it twice)… The bar was pretty busy since it was Game 1 of the Mets NLCS, and we were enjoying the ambiance. We each had one more beer before asking for the check. The check came and had our side salads on it… From a service standpoint, sometimes things happen beyond your control. However, dirty plates and forgetting to bring out food that is ordered can be controlled. Overall, our night out at the Adirondack Pub and Brewery was sub par. We will not be going back.

I want to give a 3 ½. Ill keep it simple. Food was standard pub food. Thats fine we wanted that. The service was great when we had it. The service seemed overly extended and is not the servers fault. Place filled up very fast and in this off season i feel they slimmed down the staff. The stout beer was absolutely awesome. The ambiance is great and all around fun place to go. I will return and possibly sit at the bar with some locals!

I was checking out where the Lake George Music Festival was to be held over the next couple of days and directly across the street found this restaurant. I sat outside on the patio and ordered a Bear Naked Ale to relax after a couple of mile walk. The ale was so good that I ordered another along with a salad followed by a baked seafood casserole. The seafood was paired with a very ordinary baked potato served with packaged butter and sour cream. The ambience and the ale however led me to order a slice of New York cheesecake topped with raspberries and whipped cream along with a cup of coffee. I would substitute vegetables for the so called baked potato, but otherwise this surprise find was very enjoyable.

Ok. Nothing to get excited about food wise. Beer is ok. The food is satisfactory. We were celebrating a reunion of old friends and while the service was good we were disappointed that the bar would not serve shots which was a disappointment. Typical touristy place. Decent but that’s all.

The ambient of this restaurant is so woodsy, which is my kind of taste and it represent this beautiful region, thats called the Adirondacks or Lake George. This restaurant/bar serves Italian cuisine, yes!!. They also serve Italian and Californian wines, merlot or pinot grigo. I ordered a red wine joining with a fettuccine pasta with shrimp garlic sauce. Their waitress and hostess are sooo kind and sweet, not to rude and not to lazy.

Cozy brewery in Lake George with lots to offer. Nice outdoor patio with heated lamps for breezy nights. If you are a fan of light beers you’ll love this place. Lots of light ales and blondes to choose from. If you’re like me and love stouts and porters, don’t get the sampler because they’ve got slim pickins. The one snow trout stout they had was delicious tho and highly recommended. Their wings are yummy but they weren’t on top of fried cheese curds game according to my friends. Wine festival going on this weekend and we got a front row seat to the gorgeous fireworks display they put on from the outdoor patio of the brewery this Saturday. I’d definitely return next time we come back :)

Stopped by here while driving through the town a little before the season opened, and I was really impressed for a place that I picked pretty much at random. They have a wonderful beer selection… I was particularly excited by their stouts and even got a bottle of one to take home with me. The service was also phenomenal — the waitress that we had was incredibly nice, wanted to actually talk to us and know what brought us up here, etc. Very positive experience. As far as the food goes, I would rate it solid, but nothing special. Which is not to say bad at all… it was a good meal! But if I were to come back here, it would be for the beer and the people more than the food.
