Pontoon boats here are slow as molasses. Outboard motors are restricted to 15 MPH. It takes an hour to get halfway across the lake and you can’t even take the kids tubing. Unless you’re planning to just drift on the lake, it’s a complete waste of $ 500 for the day when there are other places like Chic’s Marina in Bolton Landing that have faster boats, tubes, jet skis, etc…
