Caldwell House Restaurant

I love this place! The staff is so nice and the food is great. Enjoyed wine and the early special, which included more than enough to make you full. The atmosphere is great, especially for Christmas. Elisa was our waitress. She was wonderful. Definitely will come again.

Phenomenal food, service, and drinks! We tried multiple appetizers and they were all impeccable! We are originally from Long Island and have been living here over 10 years and sadly this summer was our first time trying it but I can promise it won’t be the last! My filet was cooked to perfection and had the best taste in the entire world! Highly recommend to locals and tourist looking for a perfect meal!

I have been to Caldwell House three separate times and each time I leave more satisfied than the last. It has an extremely cozy and home like feel to it. If you read the menu it seems to have some cool history to the architecture as well. The portions are big, and the taste is even bigger, making the prices extremely reasonable. The prime rib is easily the best I’ve ever had. During each of my visits I’ve had a different wait staff all have been very welcoming and friendly. I can’t recommend their food enough. I’ve never actually left enough room for dessert, but my expectations are high nonetheless. I would suggest calling a head for a reservation and if you want the prime rib, (which you MUST try) get there earlyish, it’s a hit! Can’t wait to go back.

My husband gave his meal scrod and crab 4 star I give my chicken 3 stars so we average it up to ³¹⁄₂ but I don’t think I would return because the menu was limited… Not many chicken choices

By far the best kept secret in the Lake George region. The service was top-​notch the food was as good as I’ve had all winter. If you’re looking for a great steak or perhaps the best Roast Lamb in warren county look no further. Have a great evening out The Caldwell House is the best…

Great environment. Food was great. We bought steaks and chicken entrée and each was amazing. Huge portions and priced perfect. Kids meals are huge as well. Priced amazing. Great selection. Friendly workers. Will be going again!!!

Great service and awesome food. Wonderful ambiance. Going back this weekend. We had the chicken piccata and steak they were excellent.

Just came in for an appetizer
Ended up having stuffed mushrooms and a wedge salad
The salad came out in a presentation I have never seen and it was perfect the house dill vinaigrette was amazing
The stuffed mushrooms were some of the best I ever had
I can’t wait to come back for a meal

Went in June on a Friday night… wasn’t packed the staff was nice… enjoyed the food the meat was well cooked… I’d go back…

This restaurant is not closed as the site would have you believe. My wife and I stopped here for dinner on a Wednesday evening and were very glad we did.
The restaurant is like a log cabin with the main dining room containing approximately nine or 10 tables. The tables are spread around a beautiful fireplace that had a wonderful fire burning in it.
Our server, Mary was friendly and very efficient. The menu is quite pricey however there are a number of options for you to have. My wife and I had the iceberg lettuce wedge, and I had mine with the addition of sirloin steak. I asked that my steak the medium rare and when it arrived at our table it was perfectly cooked.
For dessert my wife have the bread pudding which she said was outstanding, and I had a plain cheese cake with strawberry toppings. Both desserts were excellent.
The restaurant has a very complete Martini menu and I had a Bombay martini which was outstanding. This restaurant is definitely worth a try.

The food was just so so, but the worst part was the wait. Everyone had to wait so long for everything, from ordering, to getting your bread, to getting your meal and getting the check!!! Yikes!!! Stay away !!! One final thing, the place was so cold inside. So sit right by the fireplace. We actually pushed our table closer to it, we were almost on top of it! I repeat, stay away!!!
