Disc golf? Soccer balls? This place has turned an eye to its originality. You will find the younger crowed now due to othe activities other than golf. Prices also have gone up and no more free play tuesdays. $ 12 per bucket now. Meh. Ill still go here but I hope this place will last. This is where i learned to play golf, not throw a frisbee.

We had gone here for soccer golf. One of the staff by the name of John was very unwelcoming and rude. He was visibly irritated that we had never played before and «didn’t know the rules»; we had read the rules prior. He said that if he «catches us on the golf green, would kick us out.» He told us that «all the golfers hate you guys here so keep your rowdiness and yelling down.» «If you can’t get it in in less that 8, just pick it up and keep going because you’ll be holding everyone else up.»
The golfers and soccer golfers share the same space and the first person we see on the grass is rude. We were cordial back to him and continued to try and have a good time despite the initial negative experience. The holes were nice but you are second class citizens at this golf course if you are playing with anything other than a golf ball.

Fun 9-​hole after work special or a good «get out with the kids» course.
Nothing amazing here but it has a nice local feel with a shabby clubhouse.
Sometimes you don’t need American Golf’s stamp on everything with over the top starter’s office.

It’s a nine hole course with very dry and rough patches. We walked the course and it was fine. There were a lot of orange trees with fruit all over that dropped and was rotting all over the place. They charge for chipping practice but at least putting was free. It’s ok and can be very crowded due to the price. We prefer Casta Del Sol or Baker golf courses better.

Nice place to practice. It is what it is. The people make it great. They try hard to make your experience great.

After my round of 9 holes, I wanted to hit up the driving range, but I noticed I was charged an extra 3 dollars for my round after 5 pm. I brought it to their attention and the gentleman working there was awesome enough to give me a bucket of balls on the house for their mistake. I thought this was very cool of them to do that. This is a real cool little spot if u wanna play golf in two hours or less. The majority of the holes are short but it’s a great place to practice your short irons. no driver needed.

Been coming here for around 5 years now. Consistently playing. Very friendly pro shop staff. However on my most recent trip on the 9^th hole the green keepers were fixing the green. On the 9^th hole you need to shoot over a small river or stream. They stepped aside for me to play my irons and reach the hole. However they were yelling in my backswing and saying, «he won’t make it over the stream I guarantee it» and yelling it loud enough for me to hear. Very disappointed in this, incredibly rude. Not a way to treat customers. Time to find a new regular course.

The course is the same course for golf, disc golf and foot golf. Casual atmosphere. The course has a lot of fun challenging holes for foot golf. Make sure you get there on time though– they can’t emphasize that enough.

I’m new to golf and my experience is pretty limited to driving ranges around southern Orange County. That said, I have found Lake Forest Golf and Practice Center to be great for me. There are plenty of stations on the driving range, a very nice putting green, a chipping and bunker area, and, I’m told, a nice 9 hole course for when I feel ready to try actually playing a game. That should be soon. I’m planning on joining the men’s club for their weekly get together every Wednesday morning. My best experience so far has been the lessons I’ve been taking with Laurent Denis –OCPGI teaching pro. I am almost wrapping up my first series of 5 lessons and feel very good about the progress I’ve made in just a few weeks. I will update this review after I’ve actually played the course.

I been going here since it’s conveniently located. Never been too impressed with the worn out mats (except the ones reserved for teaching which are off limits) and scuffed up balls. I guess it’s because you’re hitting into dirt. The balls usually come out of the ball machine soaking wet. Never really had friendly service behind the counter either. I’m usually there twice a week. I’ve always purchase the $ 100 range card because it’s a better deal. But I think it’s time to find another driving even it’s a further away. The straw that broke the camel’s back is that they recently jacked up the prices on a bucket of a ball. From $ 10 to $ 12. Not worth my money anymore. I know there’s better driving ranges with better prices out there.

My husband and I are just getting back into the game and found this little gold mine! We have never had trouble getting a tee time and the course is in good shape. Definitely a «beginner» course and great value for the money!

I love golfing here! The scenery is beautiful. The staff is really friendly and accommodating, especially Nat & Nick. It’s the perfect place to go for a quick round of 9 holes. The greens run true and are always well maintained. It’s just a really fun course overall. I especially like the 9^th hole where you have to launch a perfect shot over the creek. Also, there’s a great driving range, putting green, and a place to practice pitching.

We came out for Father’s Day with the kids and had a great time! The folks in the pro-​shop and on the first tee box were VERY nice and considerate knowing that we had 3 young kids with us. This is not Trump National people, so the course will not be perfect. This is a beginners course with foot golf players on the course. Relax and have fun!

I got into golf not so long ago, and I have to say Lake Forest Golf and Practice Center is a really enjoyable place to practice the new sport that I love. Oddly located near car mechanic places is a strange site to behold, however don’t let that fool you as the place really distinguishes the area around it. In this review the golf course, practice area, and food/​beverages will be discussed of how I like them.
This executive golf course offers beautiful scenery, swell for beginner golfers, and having fun exploring what else it can offer to you. The two big lakes on the golf course add a nature type of feel which I really appreciate, just as well as the fact that the second hole makes at an obstacle in your way. The Geese, squirrels, ducks, and sometimes when you see a turtle make the course very interactive with nature. Not much else to say about the looks of the course, besides some of the lazy individuals who leave beer cans, and cigarette butts on the tee boxes/​golf course.
The course is very good for starting golfers, many people have even told me to come here if you want to start playing. It has a lot of par 3’s and two holes that are approx. 200 yards. This course is very good to learn all the rules, and what to do’s in golf for starting out.
The practice center is very basic for what you want, for example a lower section of mats, a upper section, and the grass field to the left where you can practice with the range balls. Prices do depend on which type of bucket you want, however for the most part they are very affordable. What’s nice about the putting area is that for one its free, and you can putt as long as you like. The chipping and sand area do require payment, they have a special where you get a hour of chipping then a large bucket for fourteen dollars.
Food and drink are very good also the prices are very reasonable. There’s a fridge in the pro shop/​where you pay for buckets or games that have many drink options such as water, Gatorade, wine, beer, and margaritas. The snacks are typically just candy, and chips. They have some meals like hot dogs, and or hamburgers. On someday’s they will barbecue outside and the smell is hard to ignore.
I come here alot and the place is really well kept, and I always tell my friends to come here for all the golfing essentials.

We play a lot of golf, my son is also an avid junior golfer (aka a golf nut) so we practice here often. Overall decent value for money: the greens run true and a great place to practice short game. Range is good not cramped and well lit at night, there is also an option to play from grass which is good for feel.
We recently moved here from abroad and my son plays in the scpga junior tour. After a month or so of practicing here last autumn we met Laurent on the range. He is one of the best pro’s we have worked with since either of us started and really goes above and beyond taking care of his students. Two weeks ago my son placed third playing a few shots over par at a nearby course; this can be attributed to Laurent’s support and practice at this facility in general.
Only downside is the foot golf played at the same time as regular golf, this can be frustrating at times however with the dwindling amount of new golfers this might be the only way to keep public facilities like this competitively priced. One tip would be to divide tee times so we are not always playing together as etiquette is non existent in foot golf (I am also a soccer fan).

It’s a tiny pitch and putt — all short holes — 2 longest are about 200 yards. Go there to practice your short game. tiny greens so hard to stop on them if you don’t get loft!

We came here for a round of 9 holes on the par3 course. The RSVP process was pretty straight forward standard stuff and easy online. Although note they seem to be very lenient with the actual start time so if you arrive early you can go to the first hole as long as there isn’t a group already there. For $ 16/​green fees, $ 4 to rent a pull cart the overall value was soso. Our group of 4 just ended up walking our round since it was so short, only 1115 yards total.
The greens here are pretty fast do to the dry weather and probably the watering restrictions now. The lack of maintenance of the fairways and greens definitely show though throughout the course. The ponds are literally blackish with a slight swamp kinda smell coming off it. You can see the ground keepers trying to scramble as people finish holes to water some spots. It does get abit congested too during peak weekend hours especially if you have a slow or beginner group.
Overall an ok course for the beginners since it’s just a pitch and putt kinda course. The course route was aslightly confusing though since there are no hole markers at the tee boxes like at other courses.

Came here to play Foot Golf. You can rent a soccer ball for $ 5 or bring your own.
— Course felt old and run down. Maintenance is clearly slacking off.
— Pond in the middle of the course REEKS. It literally smells like shit.
— Completing the game could take HOURS since you have to wait until all the golfers clear the green. This is typically par for the course (heh heh get it?), but since there is only 1 route, this can potentially take a REALLY long time.
— No one seemed to mind that we were drinking so that’s cool. Saved this place from getting a 1-​star from me.

Great low key place to get your driving and putting practice on. You can buy a bucket of balls for the ranges which is very helpful.
We’ve played the course (at night) and it was not bad actually for a neighborhood spot but we donated a few balls to the darkness of certain areas. Good news is the price: it’s cheap to play a round at night, I believe it was $ 11 and there was relatively no one there so nobody played through our rookie game. It took us about 2.5 hours to play through the course.
There is plenty of parking, there’s a small pro shop with basic snacks and the employees pretty much give guests free rein of the place.
Good 9 hole place for beginners or those out of practice needing to brush up on their skills, par 3 course with the water holes at par 4 level plus where else can you wave to the Amtrak when you’re teeing off?!

I never knew Ballast Point IPA was available in a can until this place!
So yeah, a friendly shop with delicious brews, balls are $ 10 for a large bucket… My neighbors were nice and put up with my annoying chatter… restrooms were clean… I haven’t tried the food yet but I had a really great time.
If you want a low-​key place to chill and hit balls, this is it. Most of the people were wearing jeans and brought their whole families out, no froufrou golf snobs here! Loved it!
