It took me almost 2 years to write this review! I guess that’s how long it takes to come «out» about how you feel about your insanely expensive bedding: bad. Awful. Completely dissatisfied.
First let me start by saying I worked with one designer at the store who completely misguided almost every purchase. I picked out a bed with custom fabric (which I LOVE!!). But the bedding, a duvet, duvet cover, velvet throw and sateen pillow cases (all custom made), I am so dissatisfied with.
The sateen pillow cases fell apart. They look like rags. We washed on cold delicate and hung dry them as instructed. They pilled and the seams fell apart.
The salesperson I worked with asked me, regarding designing the duvet cover, «How do you sleep, hot or cold.» Hot. We sleep hot and need something breathable. The duvet cover she custom ordered for me is the thickest, least breathable thing I have ever felt. It is heavy! It’s amazing they even would even put something like this on a feather duvet. The feather duvet is great, but I’ll honestly have to spend more money buying a new cover for it.
Disappointed and I can’t believe I paid so much for bedding that won’t even last me two years.
