Maggots in the food. Beware! I advise you to check your food. That is so gross. Be careful!

Bought cooked chicharon from here last night. The guy offered to cut and warm it up for me I told him no thanks I can do it when I get home. Got home cut it up ate some and when I saw what looked like a crumb on my table went to clean it and it was a live maggot! When I looked into the meat it was crawling with live maggots… I will never eat here again! I went back told them what was up showed them the meat the guy just said throw it away and gave me my money back. I will be reporting to health dpt. If you eat here check your food! I’d give a minus 0 if I could…

Great little hole in the wall place. Its not big or fancy, but that’s what I’m looking for when it comes to authentic Mexican food, plus it gives me a chance to practice my broken Spanish! lol Make sure to go Friday-Sunday for their 99 cent taco days. they have a lot more kinds of meat then just carne asada, try the al pastor and carnitas. if you are like me and looking for a place to feed a large family for a reasonable price, check this place out!

Very good food. The woman that worked the register, I think the owner, was so sweet. The salsa could be a little hotter but that’s just me. Beans and rice were perfect and the shrimp Diablo was pretty good. Definitely recommend this place

First time eating here. Just moved to area. Friendly service. Great food. Had ceviche tostada and shrimp burrito. Loved both! Definitely making this a regular stop. I would recommend it to the locals or anyone driving through. Right across from the lake marina.

The food ok. Customer service below satisfactory, the type of place to forget your order. The place horrible. Looks like a hoarders home inside. Their bathroom incredibly foul smelling, when you open the door the stench goes all the way to the front of the restaurant, and if you’re crazy enough to still dine, you’ll be smelling that the whole time you eat. If that wasn’t bad enough, cockroaches! Crawling up the wall by the kitchen. Enter at your own risk.

I’ve only had the tacos and Sope here(don’t know if I spell that last one right) Sometime the wait is pretty long and other times it’s pretty quick. Overall, the tacos are pretty good but I didn’t like the Sope. The place does look like it needs an update, especially the sauce counter(a little messy) but other than that I’d come back. They seems like nice ppl, not exactly friendly but it’s not like I go in for a chat anyways so it’s all good.

Let me start off with having high expectations of this place and being disappointed in the end. I ordered the carna asada burrito and carna asada tacos, the portion size of the burrito was excellent it was so hug that two people can share! Though the meat in it was not seasoned and there were quiet a few fat pieces in the burrito that left me not wanting to take another bite, the rice was a little dry as if it was from the previous day. I love salsa and I had the guacamole and the green salsa on the side, I’m sad to say the green«salsa» is bland without a kick to it though the guacamole was awesome it had a pretty good spice to it and very flavorful. The carna asada taco was so flavorless and the red salsa in it wasn’t even spicy(what a disappointment) I was looking for a good Mexican place to frequent to as a permanent spot to go to and i guess I must continue that search… I only gave this place one star due to the portion and the guacamole. Sad to say I won’t be back.

Best Al pastor and Asada tacos/burritos!!! It’s a mom and pops place and you can tell the food is cooked with love. Great people and great food, can’t go wrong here!

If I could have given them 0 stars I would!!! Absolutely the WORST place&experience I have ever had in my entire life. Not exaggerating. I sent my friend with my card here to order 11 tacos. I called him immediately when I saw that I was charged $ 26. I called the place and a woman answered saying something in Spanish. I asked to speak to a manager and she said«no». I responded«what do you mean no? Can I please speak to a manager?» She replied«no» again and hung up. I called again where she answered in Spanish again. I asked if she spoke English and she said«no». I then asked if anyone there spoke English and she said«no» again and hung up on me. My boyfriend called me back to say that not only did the lady not give him a receipt but no prices were posted, she could not give a refund because they did not have a refund machine(which I have never heard of) and he could not understand a word she was saying. At this point I was beyond infuriated and frustrated. He comes home with food which turned out to be the complete opposite of what we ordered. After eating, I had a stomach ache for the rest of the night. I love Mexican food and usually get the $ 1 tacos at most Mexican food places but this place was by far the worst mistake yet. I read the Unilocal reviews first and am not sure if they have gone down since but I was let down greatly and will never step foot into their place again. SAVEYOURMONEYANDDONOTGOHERE!!!

Holy moley, fish tacos! I grew up in Mexico so I know a good fish taco. These are something else. These fish tacos were amazing!!! No lime wedge needed. The salsa that accompanies these tacos is such a great compliment. Three Fish Tacos with plenty of salsa, icey Clamato or Sangria and you’ve got yourself the meal I’d ask for if I was on death row. Enjoy.

Place is ok. Only close«mom n pop» Mexican place nearby. I’ve had asada burrito first time. Was big and had plenty of meat. Meat however is bland, and other ingredients don’t add much flavor. Second time I got 2 Pastor tacos, chicken quesadilla. Tacos had lots of meat, but overall bland. Quesadilla had good amount of chicken, but lacked the cheese amount to make it good… very dry because of this. I also have ordered chips… they make them in-house. They are overcooked, but have a decent taste to them… my neighbor likes them ore then I do… Salsas are lacking in taste… the hot sauces are anything but hot… Been there twice… Don’t think I’ll be going again… Taco Bell and Dell Taco are nearby…

Al Pastor Taco: The best al pastor I’ve had in the IE so far. It tastes authentic and the meat has good flavor. Lengua Taco: It was just alright. It didn’t really taste like Lengua. They don’t skimp on the meat though. They stuff their tacos with a decent amount of meat. Carne Asada Burrito: It’s pretty big and for $ 4.25, not bad at all. The meat has good flavor. Add some of their red sauce, and it turns a good burrito in a super yummy burrito. Rice: It’s pretty good. It tastes homemade. Beans: They’re just alright. They needed more salt. Red Sauce: It’s really good and goes well with carne asada. Molcajete Sauce: The best of the three salsas, and tastes great with al pastor meat. Green Sauce: My least favorite. It lacked flavor.

Tiny place, cleanliness was average and service was fast, good price for the meal … I ordered tacos and they were somewhat close to what you’d expect out of a taco cart from Mexico This is a good place to come over when you have cravings for tacos … The combo plates look like they might’ve been good, we’ll see next time
