I normally love Sansui, but don’t bother coming in to place an to go order and wait if they are busy. I sat for nearly an hour waiting for my order(nothing outrageous) while Charlie commiserated and drank with the customers. Needless to say, as much as I like their sushi, I will not wait this long next time.

Looked up reviews and as always they did not steer me wrong. Had a very good dinner. Rolls and sashimi were great. Service was good and there were a few locals in there which says a lot. Definitely will go again.

They make the absolute best sushi in the lake Elsinore area. It’s so fresh and doesn’t disappoint. I order to go and eat inside often. I’m never disappointed!

They have limited seating, but we dined on a week night so only 2 – 3 tables were filled. My husband loved the salmon sushi roll he ordered. I got the teriyaki beef with fried veggies special. The beef was overcooked/tough but doused in teriyaki sauce so who can complain. The miso soup and salad were very tasty. The older female server took awhile to come take our order, but the food arrived in good time. The hot tea was also great.

I am usually hesitant to post one star on a business, but I can’t help it with this. This is the absolute worst sushi ever. Not fresh, at all. Left most on the plate. If I weren’t starving when I came in I would have left after the first bite. Seriously gross, I’m looking around the room wondering how anybody is enjoying themselves. Maybe it’s the area, I don’t know I’m just passing through, but I don’t see how this place is even open. I’m posting as I’m sitting here waiting for the check, I can’t wait to get out of here and take my family elsewhere because everyone is still hungry and pretty grossed out. I guess I’ve learned my lesson on eating sushi in places like lake Elsinore

Always good food and friendly service here. Been coming here for years and they are always consistent. The uni and oysters are fresh, the wine is good. Try their soju martini, it packs a punch! Thumbs up to this quaint sushi place

I seriously love this place, the staff is awesome, my favorite is chef Charlie, funny guy and great to talk to. He definitely knows what he’s doing and to make sure that you leave full and happy. I am really picky with my sushi and honestly this is one of the best places for great fish. Be sure you go and try this place out and I know for a fact that you will become your new favorite place as well.

I read the reviews before going there, and they mostly complained about the service, but nothing about the food, so I gave it a try. By far the worst Japanese food I have ever eaten, from mushy rice to greasy tempura, to flavorless beef teriyaki. Total slop, and the owner says she’s been there for 10 years, go figure. Oh, by the way, the service was horrible too. Only 1 person on the floor to take orders, serve food, and check out customers. Ridiculous.

Finally, I found my favorite sushi place in Lake Elsinore! I love the Toro, uni, yellowtail, and ankimo! Chef Charlie introduced me to ankimo and I felt in love with it right away!

Another one of those restaurants in Lake Elsinore that I would love to tell you how good the food is however it’s also one of those restaurants in Lake Elsinore that when it says it closes at 230 if you walk in at 215 they refuse to serve you and the hostess was extremely rude about it again my pet peeve with restaurants is if it says you close at 230 you serve till 230 not telling a customer on a walk in 15 minutes before you close sorry we’re not going to serve you obviously these restaurants make so much money they don’t need any extra business

I enjoy going to this sushi bar because the sushi is fresh and delicious. The sushi chef is a nice guy and he enjoys a glass of beer. I do wish the prices were just a tad bit lower but I’m willing to pay for quality and a closer location.

Came here for lunch, I ordered the hawaiian roll and it was very delicious probably some of the best sushi iv had. The waitress was very sweet and nice, she provided greet service. The only thing i didnt not like was the rice and how the roll it self did not stick together very well, it made it harder to eat and the rice would get loose and fall in when dipping it in the soy sauce. Other then that it was a very good roll

Been here a couple of times bc it’s close to home and has good ratings. Honestly the only reason I give 3 stars and no more is because every time it’s just, mediocre. Service is okayyyyyy… I guess. If you consider a girl on her phone behind podium«service». But she was nice and got me what I had to ask for from her promptly. Chef is prob the best part. He was super sweet and even when I was there another guest complimented his food. So it’s worth the go. The prices though? Totally not worth it. If you wanna spend 13 – 15 $ on a good hearty roll, drive to Hana’s. There is no AYCE and there was no great lunch selections. It’s decent… But I only go bc of it’s location and if I’m craving really bad for any sushi… If that helps. There’s a new Thai spot in town though!

Hey there, My friend took me out to this sushi place for dinner. We had(i cant remember the pronunciation) the chef’s choice of what to serve us. We had blue fin tuna which I had never had as well as many other creative beautiful dishes. This is by far the freshest sushi I have ever had. All of it was delicious and I would recommend this place to anyone looking for some sushi.

I have to say this is one of my favorite sushi places! Go figure! Small modest place off the 15 freeway at Central Avenue(hwy 74) across from the Costco shopping center. Good parking, always room(so far) at the sushi bar. Charlie, the chef, is awesome and his fish is always the freshest and best in town. Kudos! He does not always have every sushi in the world but what he does have is always amazingly fresh and yummy. People go out of their way to come here(I have chatted with a few of them while dining here and one couple drove in from the OC). Great sushi and sashimi at great prices!(but no Ikura… Charlie?) :-) Try this place, you wont be disappointed!
