The food was so amazingly good, we are going back again tonight. The wine selection is extensive and our bottle was perfect. Our children each had the king crab, husband had the 10 oz filet and I had the oven jumbo shrimp. Everything was terrific, including the cheesecake and crème brûlée. Our waitress was excellent. She was extremely friendly, professional and attentive. Prices in this area, in general, are a little high and found their prices to be in line. You will not be disappointed!

Great atmosphere, friendly service. My son and I enjoyed our meals, I had the grilled salmon he had kids chicken strips and fries. They brought out warm bread with butter and my son asked for seconds of bread. Highly recommended

AMAZING!!! The atmosphere, service and delicious food was beyond what I expected. What a fabulous evening I can’t understand why the owner of Wok-King in Baraboo would tell me different. I guess comparing a place like that to a place like this would be upsetting. Anyways kudos del bar

The meal was average in flavor and presentation, but the server was very nice. It was more family dining than what I would call upscale, but it would be a nicer place for a family to visit while in the dells. A bit overpriced, but it’s not fast food.

Visit — 2nd best steak in Wisconsin after Carnevors. Fantastic service, great wine selection — will become a dells regular every visit!

Really like this place. Yes, it is pricey and the menu is not very creative, but that is a supper club in Wisconsin. The oysters are great(and even better at happy hour prices). If you are looking for a nice place to eat(and not interested in driving all the way to Ishnala), this is a place to go.

My family and I come here every year on New Years Eve(or for other special occasions). We are always very happy with our experience. The Del Bar has some of the most amazing food I have ever had, especially when it comes to their meats and mashed potatoes. The calamari is excellent, and so is their Friday fish fry. Great desserts. The environment is very nice and has a very appealing setting(lots of space as well!). Very good service from the staff. The services, menu, and set up has always been consistent, with only a few changes on the menu each year(was sad to see the Duck was taken off the menu). Would highly recommend. Very pricy though(worth it!).

Awesome seafood! We had oysters on the half shell and tuna sashimi and for dessert pecan pie. The atmosphere is a little dark but very comfortable. Close to all the dell’s attractions. Service was excellent, she was there whenever we needed her. We will eat here again for sure.

This place is top of the line! They take your coat! They have the most amazing food with big juicy steaks with a huge variety of drinks and options. They even have Izzys which is so different and cool of them! One huge downfall is the price though. It is super expensive but it is so worth it

Fantastic food, albeit a bit pricey. Atmosphere is doubt it off the 70’s. Had the flat iron steak and it was delicious. Great bread and cracker baskets too. Kids meals are well priced and best of their mind(big portions, applesauce when everyone else for salad, etc.). Wonderful old fashioned as well. Classy, but also Cla$$y, but you get what you pay for!

We happened onto the really terrific happy hour during a visit to the area. This is a great bar/supper club with a really great«rat pack» vibe and a nice selection of small plates and appetizers. Plus … nicely done Manhattans. A plus!

If you are looking for an $ 18 ribeye that’s just okay to decent, then go to Texas Roadhouse. If you want a consistently delicious prime grade cut, the Del-bar has a proven track record with my wife and I. We have been to many high-end steakhouses around the country, priced equally or more, and I can think of only one other place that delivers such a great cut. The seafood is equally delicious. The service has always been top notch and we probably have dinner here 5 times a year. Get here before 6 pm for happy hour specials on drinks… And especially the apps!

Fantastic. Every single bite of food was incredible. I took other Unilocaler advice and went with the spinach salad and hash browns as a side. Both were worth it. The steaks were melt-in-your-mouth good; and the atmosphere is so fun.

Let me start off by saying, Everything from beginning to end was amazing! When we first arrived there was a little mix up on the reservation time but we still got seated immediately. The first thing we ordered was the calamari. It was tender and not overly breaded. I was not a huge fan of the dipping sauce but my fiancé really enjoyed it. Then the pre dinner salads came out and this is where the night truly changed from good to amazing. I was reading some Unilocal reviews prior to coming here and I almost made the mistake of ordering a tossed salad. Then I remembered everyone raving about the spinach salad but mainly the bacon vinaigrette. Well needless to say, it didn’t disappoint. Probably one of the best dressings I have ever had. I wasn’t going to eat a roll to save room for my steak, but I needed it to sop up the extra dressing! Finally the main course came out. My fiancé and I each had the filet. Both were cooked at medium rare to perfection with a solid outer char. I had the mashed potatoes and she had the sweet potato fries. Both tasted good. Needless to say, we ate everything and left satisfied and full. Great hostess and very accommodating waitress as well. Whenever we are back in the dells, we plan on coming back to Del Bar!

Visited here on a weeknight from a girlfriend’s recommendation, and it was SO worth it! We started with the cheese curds(because what ELSE do you eat when you’re in Wisconsin??), and the breading was delish. One thing that will kill a good cheese curd is a thick breading, and this one was more of a tempura style breading… nice and light! The curds were paired with sassy cow honey mustard, which had a nice bite… almost horseraddish-y. Per my girlfriend’s recommendation, I had the spinach salad. Without her recommendation, I don’t think I would have ordered them, but OMG… warm bacon vinaigrette! I’ve got to find the recipe… it was soooooo good! The special that night was the flat iron steak with a potato side. The had the usual baked potato, mashed potatoes and such, but Del Bar has hash browns! Delicious crispy-on-the-outside-fluffy-on-the-inside hash browns! The steak was cooked perfectly, nice and read throughout. This is definitely a location for a nice dinner while in the Dells. The drinks were mixed well, the food cooked perfectly, and a great atmosphere overall!

This is an old, reliable, iconic steakhouse, in the«old school.» The quality is still there, however… there is no, «price-value relationship.» Their prices are too high, for the value, received. I enjoyed the pork chops. Charred on the outside, but still juicy and flavorable, on the inside. Loved the hash-browns. Finished up with crème-brulee. All in all… a good meal. But the prices, especially for wine… are exorbitant.

Let me hand over my man card now because my Spinach salad was the best thing since bacon. Speaking of bacon they use a warm bacon dressing for the salad. I may or may not have had 3 Spinach salads that night(and one to go)! The Filet was cooked perfectly, Salmon was cooked perfectly. The ONLY reason this is not a 5 star review was the waitress kind of sucked, but the food was SOGOOD we didn’t even care. I don’t care how touristy this place can be I can’t wait to go back… for the salad mainly.

Returned to Dell Bar after a long day of hunting this past Saturday. We were celebrating a number of things and could think of no place better to celebrate! We have a 20 month old and were placed in the waaaay back room with a family of six or seven.(I think they were trying to quarantine the kid noise!!) We love the back room because it is small, quaint and had 270 degrees of window looking outside, really the best seating in the whole place. We had a bit of a less than stellar experience at my Del-Bar last time we were here. So I was eager to place Del Bar back on their pedestal. The problem last time was the service… very poor, and that had never happened in the past. We were lucky enough this time to have a top-notch server. I forget her name, but she was from Australia(that should narrow it down, not a lot of Aussies in the Dells!). Extremely attentive without being overbearing. Food came out at the proper pace and everything was piping hot and delicious. So, long story short, Del-Bar is back on the favorites list! I wish that individual servers could be reviewed separately as a sub category of a restaurant… The Aussie would definitely get 5 Stars!
