A wonderful experience for the whole family. You get to sit in a 1950s-era car, watch clips from 50s Sci Fi B-movies, and eat great diner selections. I ordered the Build Your Own Angus burger and fries, which is probably the best burger and fries I’ve ever had. Excellent service. If I ever visit Hollywood Studios again, I’ll definitely come back here to eat.

I love the cute dine movie theater. The is classic 50’s America aka Burgers and fries. The restaurant is so relaxing after a hot shinny day in the parks. Forgot to mention you need to make reservations in advance. Also, very good milk shakes.

The ambience was great… Dark, quiet, calm, fun shows to watch and how cool to sit in a car at a drive inn movie. It was so cool! The food was really good. Was it the best burger ever? No. But we are paying for the experience and that combined it awesome! I got the build your own burger and it was juicy hot and incredibly good. With a side order of fries. Bonus the 2 onion rings they give you are really yummy and crunchy. We shared an oreo shake… We have had better. For dessert…(because shakes aren’t a dessert ;)) we got the really unique hot apple pie filling with a hot glazed donut on top with a scoop of ice cream. It was really yummy and what a great combo. Party on the mouth The kids mess we’re great. For $ 8.00 you got a whole meal plus an ice sundae. That is awesome in my book when it comes with dessert for the kids. Plus you got a lot of food. So much the kids couldn’t finish their meal.

This is a cute little restaurant in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. You are led inside by a worker who tells you to park your car, turn on your lights, and drive safely. The inside is basically a drive-in movie theater with many cars spread throughout. Each car has about 3 – 4 rows of seats that seat about 2 people a row. So be sure you enjoy your company because you do not get to face the whole group. Everyone is seated facing a large projection screen that shows old commercials and clips of Sci-Fi movies from the past. They are cute and funny for the mood. This is a nice date spot and you can cozy up while imagining yourself in the 50s without the make-out session obviously. Have to keep it Disney PG. The food here is what to me seemed pretty average. Burgers, milkshakes, a few fun cocktails and you get a decent meal. I actually think the waitress brought me the wrong item, but I did not realize it till I had eaten half of it. She was also a bit slow and took a while to bring me my bill. This restaurant does not have a painful wait time as the others for seating, but do not be expecting an extravagant meal. It is good for the kids and a little nighttime escape.

Despite all the times I’ve been to Disneyworld I’ve only recently discovered this spot from perusing the Walt Disney website. It’s a little hard to find since it’s behind a big stage area in Hollywood Studios. You enter this huge theater with cars serving as tables and chairs. There’s a big projector screen and it’s cool and dark inside. I was expecting a movie, but they just play several clips of ridiculous parody-like commercials and movies from the 50s and maybe a couple episodes of Tom and Jerry. Milkshakes, burgers, and fries kind of place. They have salads and the like as well. The service was okay, but it’s a nice place to go if you need some shade and good AC. Be sure to make a reservation ahead of time though! We made ours a couple days in advance for three people.

I’d give this place 3 stars for the food, but the atmosphere kicks things up to 4. This place is a cavern under a night sky, lined with old car tables and facing a drive-in movie screen showing old sci-fi film clips on a loop. It’s pretty delightful, and you’re going to grin walking in. The food is okay. Nothing really jumped out at us, but the fried pickles were quite good. The milkshake, however, was not. It was supposed to be vanilla, and it tasted like chemicals that were trying to mimic marshmallow crème. I left it half finished. Then, around the time your entrees arrive, the loop of film clips begins to repeat. That can be a bummer. They should take the time to up that loop to an hour and a half or so. It’s a fun place, but that fun is mostly in the novelty.

This place is amaze! 50s theme everywhere! It reminds me of going to the drive-in with my parents as a little girl! Menu is mostly burgers and fries, but there are a few salads and a pasta option as well. They have kids drinks and also adult beverages. I got the orbiting Oreos which is an Oreo milkshake with chocolate liqueur. It was a great decision. Super yum! I called ealier in the day to make a lunchtime reservation, but they indicated they were all full. We walked in around 11:30 and were sat within five minutes. I’m glad we didn’t bother with the reservation since we were easily sat. Be warned, there were only two of us. There were larger groups that waited longer than us that tried to walk-in without a reservation. Service was supremely fast! We got the buffalo wings as an appetizer and they were fairly spicy. We then got the make-your-own burger for our entrees. Everything was a great. Although this place is mostly about the experience, the food is good too. Definitely stop by and grab lunch while you’re in the park!

This place is awesome and adorable! How could you not want to eat at a ‘50s Drive-In? With tables set-up like Cadillacs under a starry sky watching clips from news reels about UFOs, bad monster movies, cartoons about outer space? Let’s go! We made reservations for dinner here and thank goodness we did. The crowd inside and out waiting to be seated was nuts. But once my name was called, my friend and I were led around the corner to the drive-in lot and were seated in a Cadillac with other people. Don’t worry, while the Cadillac sit 6 people comfortably, 2 per row. The menu features mostly burgers and fries. which is what we ordered. I had their specialty burger which featured arugula, fried boursin cheese, and a sriracha mayo while she had a build-your-own burger. We went for the authentic drive-in experience and got Cherry Cokes as well. We agreed that our burgers were awesome but we went easy on the fries as we really wanted dessert. Prior to our visit, I was eye-balling their menu and the Sci-Fi Candy Bar got my attention quick. It’s a White and Dark Chocolate Mousse layered with crispy Pearls sandwiched between Sponge Cake and dipped in Chocolate Ganache. What, what? Yes, please! I did not care how full I felt I was going to get this candy bar in me. It was soooo good. And was worth the added pressure haha. I’ll walk it off later. My friend got the Warm Glazed Doughnut: Stacked with Cinnamon Apples and topped with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream and Caramel Sauce. I was able to get a bite of hers and while it wasn’t as amazing as mine, it was very good. Simple ingredients go a long way. We got our«speeding tickets» aka our checks and we were off to head to the next park. I have to come back here again.

Sci Fi is definitely the coolest place to dine in Hollywood Studios. I love the food at The Hollywood Brown Derby, but it is fancy and pricey. If that is what you are looking for then that is where you should go. If you want quality food and an awesome atmosphere, this is where you should go. Please note I really like 50’s Prime Time, but I think this place is slightly cooler. You need to make reservations in advance as with most table service at Disney. So over the holidays Sci Fi decided to a breakfast menu. The cost was $ 23.99 per person and we decided to try it out. They said it was pretty successful, so I expect there is a good chance it will be back when the crowds pick up again. So if you’ve never been to Sci Fi the schtick that is that you eat in a 1950’s style car in the dark at a drive in movie theater. This is super fun! However, it also means that this place is not good for odd # groups. Go if there are 2, 4, or 6 of you. If there are 3 or 5 of you someone is going to be sitting in a row of the car all by their lonesome. The other thing this means is bring a flashlight! I’m dead serious. It is really dark in there and very hard to read the menu. So for breakfast they brought out a collection of pastries that included croissants, orange cinnamon rolls, and chocolate chip muffins. The chocolate chip muffins were amazing! They tasted like brownies. The orange cinnamon rolls were good too. The flavor was incredible though I wish they had been more moist. Then you get your choice of yogurt or fruit. I ordered yogurt which was blueberry yogurt topped with granola and raspberries. My mom ordered the fruit. Like most fruit cups it was too much melon for me. For our entrée I had the Mickey Waffle. It was the large Mickey Waffle served with bacon or sausage. It also came with a side of bananas and strawberries. I couldn’t finish it all. I am fond of the kid size Mickey waffles and they had that on the kid’s menu, but unfortunately this was priced as «all you can eat» so as an adult I could not order the kids breakfast. My bf had the steak and eggs. It was far superior to the steak and eggs we had last month at Cinderella’s Royal table. The egg was really interesting. It was almost a flan like texture. It’s hard to describe, but delicious to eat. The steak was flavorful as well. My mom had the shrimp and grits. She said they were the best grits she ever ate, and my dad had the traditional breakfast with bacon, sausage, eggs, and potatoes. Overall, we really enjoyed it and would definitely consider coming back for breakfast if they were to offer it again. I’ve been to Sci Fi for dinner too. My rules about even numbers and flashlights still apply. The 2 things I love at lunch and dinner are the ribs and the cheeseburger. You’ll need to try one of their outstanding milkshakes to wash it all down.

Just bland food. The food left me wanting. I know its supposed to be a 50’2 style diner, but i have had better burgers many places, including on disney grounds. The atmosphere was really well done, but the video had time to repeat itself as we were waiting for the food. I know that they have the rights to more than what they had playing and can extend that video loop. They had a long wait time even though we had a reservation and the wait time to receive our order was longer than we thought was appropriate. You can walk through to use the restroom instead of eating and enjoy the atmosphere for a quick version and skip the food especially if you are on a meal plan.

Oh, how I love this Disney dining experience! It’s always funny to see the cool old scifi movies and campy overacting of the good old days from the comfort of your drive in vehicle. So cute. The menu is fun. The food is fine and yummy, but same old selection. I skip the popcorn soup(wait, what?) and opt for a good ol veggie burger. No room for error, and it’s so dark to see what you’re eating in here! Staff is disney cheerful, as always. It’s a welcome respite from the heat and a nice little break in the day to refuel & recharge. It’s Disney prices, but we like to splurge when we are there. It all adds to the total experience. No diets allowed on the vaca. It’s all worth it to us!

Whats cooler than a drive in theater. I saw so many great movies at our local drive in but now they are all gone. Well here at Hollywood Studios you can enjoy a meal in a 50s style car while watching old scifi trailers. The food is very good and the shake was thick and delicious. The server was very friendly, accommodating, and prompt to bring us refills on water and soda. I enjoyed my experience here and look forward to a return visit.

The only reason to eat here is for the ambience. The food is typical overpriced Disney food. Possibly not as good as what you can get as quick service. But the setting is awesome. Even though we had a 3:05 reservation, we were not seated until at least 3:35. We sat in one car(3 rows, 2 people per row). There is a big screen in the front and the whole room is dark(like nighttime). Our server, Mark, was very nice and acted as if we we’re in a real drive in. He cleaned off our windshield. The burgers are $ 18 for nothing special. Our fries were cold. The popcorn chicken is good but we had the same nuggets in Epcot at a quick service for a cheaper price. The ones in Epcot even tasted hotter and fresher. They had one special burger with a fried Boursin cheese patty on top which was unique. For dessert we had the apple pie donut. Which looks better than it sounds. Don’t get me wrong, it was very good. It is just VERY sweet. We also had the candy bar dessert which people in my group liked. It was a cool experience but everyone said we would never go back. We did it once and that was enough.

My only complaint was the seating arrangements for a party of 9… we had reservations and they wanted to squeeze us 3 ppl in a 2 seater car/table. This place is really good for a date but not really for families(imo). This is not a place for conversations over dinner. However, its dark and perfect for downtime from Disney. The food and the waiter was great! I had a salmon blt and its was very fresh. Two ppl had shrimp pasta and it was very good and plentiful! Overall its was a very unique experience and good food.

You come to Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater for the ambience, not the food. Even then, the ambience is just alright. Just like any other Disney restaurant — you are paying too much for mediocre food. You get a black and white TV show/movie playing in the background with the occasional Tom and Jerry. If you sit at an actual table and chairs — you’ll have enough room but if you’re sitting in the«cars» then the space is tight. The fried dill pickles appetizer was pretty standard and relatively enjoyable. The breading was decent. I got the grilled chicken BLT sandwich with fries. The ratio of meat to bun was underwhelming. I had an excess of bread and such a small piece of chicken which was on the dry side. The«warm ciabatta bread» was nothing spectacular — while it was warm, it tasted like it was reheated from the day before. The fries are your standard fries you get at every Disney restaurant. My friend ordered the house-smoked St. Louis-style pork ribs. Half of the ribs were decent but the other half was dry and tough. The baked beans it comes with has a BBQ tang to them. The service was excellent, though. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. I can’t give this place 4-stars because I am not a fan but our waitress upped our experience and made it 3.5 stars.

This place has it all — great atmosphere, tremendous service, and terrific food! Out of all the 6 table service meals I had on my recent Disney dining plan, this was probably my favorite. I had dined here before, but this visit was the absolute best I’d had! We were seated within seconds of walking up for our lunch reservations, and our order was taken immediately. Our server was the nicest of any we had the entire trip. He gave us the tip that milkshakes(which were delicious) count as drinks on the meal plan! He brought them out, took our orders, and before leaving asked if we had a camera that we’d like for him to take a picture of us all with. We were thrilled at this, and he took multiple, some with and without flash, from multiple angles. It was above and beyond any service we’d expected. The food came quickly and was delicious! I got the chicken and shrimp pasta, which was good, but not as good as my girlfriend’s steak! It was by far the best cut of meat on the whole trip. The desserts were great too — I had the turtle cheesecake, which was a mound of cheesecake literally covered in caramel, pecans, and chocolate, which a side of whipped cream. It was my favorite dessert on the entire vacation. Food and service as good as it gets, and the atmosphere is the BEST! The trailers for cheesy old sci-fi movies kept us entertained and laughing the duration of the meal. Between clips, the place is completely silent! It’s so nice and peaceful to not have a lot of noise during a meal. The lighting is very low too, which was so very relaxing. This place is one I will come back to EVERY time I visit Disney!

This was quite a wonderful experience. This restaurant mimicked a drive-in theater that showed trailers of older science fiction movies and cartoons that had a sci-fi theme. You sit in cars! That part was very cool. Try to remember to make a reservation here if you are going to MGM. The burger I ate was cooked very well. It was the perfect meal for a long day of walking, sweating, and fun. The only criticism is of course the price. Not surprising for Disney of course. The fries that came with the burger were mediocre. Nothing special. Overall, it was a great experience.

We went here for the Star Wars Galactic breakfast. It was good but like all character breakfasts, I don’t know if it was worth the price factor for this. It’s a solid 3.5 on this. You first go in and get a picture with Darth Vader and my man, Boba Fett. Last year this photo was included in the cost of breakfast but now you have to pay extra on the PhotoPass system. They will take a few photos on your own phone or camera, so FYI to save a buck. We were led to our cars and the meal began. I was ecstatic to be able to order both blue milk and coffee. Blue milk is just okay but it’s Star Wars Weekends, you have to try it. Things start off with a huge tray of pastries. Since we were a party of 3, my two friends sat in the front and I was in the back of the car. That meant a whole tray for myself. The pastries were good but no way was I going to eat 8 different breakfast sweets. The yogurt parfait with granola tasted sour. I though it was just me but then a guy behind me said the same thing. Our waitress kinda blew it off as «oh that’s just the fruit on the bottom» giving off that taste. That was the end of that. The Kessel Run was absolutely delicious. It was a beef tenderloin served with a bacon cheese casserole thing and cheesy horseradish potatoes. So much win on this plate, I couldn’t handle it. I could’ve had two if I wasn’t already full. The atmosphere is why this place is the big bucks. It’s cool to see the Storm Troopers, Jawas and even Greedo(«Han shot first!») walk around. You can even trade with Jawas if you want(I had beads and traded for a marker). If you’ve been to Sci Fi, you know they have a theater screen and play old movie clips. The Star Wars breakfast is like that but plays all the old Star Wars trailers and little messages about joining the Empire and watching your valuables around Jawas. I thought they also played some cartoons from the holiday specials from last year but I didn’t see them this time. When we left we did get mini lightsabers. Would have been better to get them during breakfast so we could’ve had an epic battle in the dark but I digress. This is a great experience if you’re a huge Star Wars fans. I’m happy we were able to snag a reservation for it. I just don’t know if I would rush back next year for it.
