I liked the show but I was not in love with it. Worth seeing but not something I would rush back too. The show itself, the choreography was fantastic, and lots of interesting scenes. Each scene is about a single boy as if he had grown up through each of the different Polynesian cultures. Very cool to see the differences in the dress. For all it’s great qualities some serious detractors for me pop up. 1. While there is a short intro in English leading into each scene there is very little explanation of what is going on. During the scenes the dialogue is in a native Polynesian language(I’m assuming though it is never explained which one). It definitely adds to the immersion of the show, however, there is no subtitles or program to follow along with so you have no real idea what anyone is saying. It feels like watching a foreign film in a language you don’t speak without subtitles. 2. Other than the idea that you are following a single person’s life through each culture as they grow up there is nothing really holding the separate scenes together. Even the premise of the one person’s life is fairly weak. It feels like it was added after the fact to pull together a mis-mash of a bunch of separate performances. The fire dances, and an interesting scene where some of the performers were dancing over fires with some sort of a grass/foliage shirt/dress was very entertaining and interesting.

The show is long and entertaining, but sometimes slow paced-especially first half of the show! I felt it was a bit too many ‘cultural’ dances. The last half was way more fun! They sell dessert during intermission so bring cash. Good acting and singing overall. Really cool fire dancers at the end.

Took us a while to get the tickets at the counter. Make sure if you’re a kammaina to join the ohanaclub to get the ohanaclub member rate. Food at the island buffet was delicious, everything was tasty. Very hot in there so dress light. The show performance was incredible. It’s not a Broadway show good but I give them 8 out of 10.

After learning about six Polynesian cultures at the Polynesian Cultural Center, see them all in the finale of the night — «Ha: Breath of Life»! This production takes you through the life journey of one person, told through the lens of each culture. It’s a fairly large production with an amphitheater, effects and lots of performers. See performers dancing in the different cultural styles that you learned about during the day. Amazing fire dancing and a great finale end this show with a bang. What a great way to end a day’s visit to the PCC!

This is a beautiful production filled with music, dancing, fire, and the story of Hawaii and the story of Polynesia held at the Polynesian Cultural Center. You can get a combined ticket with the luau and center visit, but it may be better to experience this extravaganza on an evening without a full day at the center. It is well produced and vividly alive. Don’t miss it.

This show was pretty impressive, especially with all the pyro effects, but man was I sweating balls! The show is in an outdoor theater, which means no a/c like the showrooms I’m used to going to in Vegas! During the show each village from the Polynesian Cultural Center performs traditional dances from their cultures. It was a fun and energetic show and I thought some parts were cool because I recognized performers that I saw earlier at PCC earlier that day. My favorite part in the show was when they took turns sitting on trail of burning flames. I forgot what village performed that segment but it was pretty awesome because the fire was real and you could feel the heat! Because there are 6 different performances, there’s an intermission to break up the show. As soon as the lights come on, you’ll see ushers running down with trays of island delights for sale… seriously, are people not full from the buffet? Apparently so because they sold the majority of them, probably because it was so damn hot!

After the disappointing luau dinner at the PCC we attended this show in their main theater. It’s surprisingly good with plenty of dancing, a solid story, and great performances all around. You’ll notice that many of the performers are the same people who work throughout the park during the day. Give them all a hand because they work their asses off. A few scenes during the middle of the show tend to drag on, but the ending sequence with the fire dancers more than makes up for it. The theater is small with good sight lines from almost every vantage point. Running about an hour and a half long, there is an intermission where they sell bowls of ice cream in record amounts and record times.
